The staff were welcoming and friendly. Location is perfect for all the attractions of Bath and the restaurants nearby are fabulous. Room was absolutely gorgeous with comfy bed, lush furnishings and fantastic tea and coffee facilities. Great fan in the room too. The sash in the bedroom was so easy to open and the curtains blacked out perfectly. Lovely shower and toiletries provided. Soft towels and very clean bathroom.
The windows in the bathroom needed a bit of a sand and paint as it was mouldy (however this is a very beautiful old building so wear and tear is to be expected). The staff on check in weren’t very knowledgeable about long stay parking which was a shame. They did however let us know about the park and ride which was very helpful. We eventually found some free on street parking in Newbridge Road (about a 35 minute walk from the hotel). Expect hustle and bustle outside all night as this is a city centre hotel. The window and curtains helped with noise, but it is to be expected given the location. These are two tiny little gripes, everything at the hotel was fabulous and we would definitely stay again!!

Very comfortable with friendly staff. Charlotte who greeted me on arrival gave me a room upgrade.I loved the decor and luxurious bathroom. Great location. Lovely meal in the attached restaurant ( Sweet potato dhal with cauliflower, paneer and poppadoms). My server was Sofia who was lovely too. The room had plenty of water, coffee ( including decaffeinated which was a wonderful sight to me), teas and cookies. A flask of milk was provided.
A long climb to the top of the building for my up graded room. No lift. The bathroom was great but the plumbing needed some attention which I pointed out to a member of staff. The breakfast I wanted to order wasn't available and what I did get was not enjoyable. Very undercooked eggs on burnt sourdough bread. The included breakfast was definitely not worth the money paid. In hindsight I would have paid for room only and eaten breakfast elsewhere.

The property was situated close to all the places in Bath to see. The broad street townhouse an adjacent pub, which was lovely to have a little evening drink.
The shower with bedroom one was awful 😿 due to unable to control the temperature. The shower was so hot 🥵 you could not even get underneath it ! Otherwise it would burn you. I really wanted a bath 🛀 in my room as the picture portrayed for the deluxe room 😿 And to my disappointment we had to have breakfast in the pub not the cafe, which I was looking forward to.

Breakfast was lovely - though it wasn't clear how it worked as ours was included, which translated to a certain amount to spend on the main breakfast items. The room was a good size and really nicely furnished. Having our own key for the main door was good. The cocktail bar/reception looked lovely but wasn't open apart from for breakfast at the time of the week we visited.
Getting checked in involved finding someone who knew who to fetch in the sister pub - there were a few confused looking people who arrived around the same time as us. Whilst the room was lovely, it got very warm, however a decent fan was provided which helped and also helped to drown out the traffic noise/late night revellers which were noticable as the windows were single glazed. There is no way to contact anyone if you have a problem after the pub shuts.

Not quite a hotel but we entered thru the cafe and were shown to our room. The room was fine. We had a meal in the pub next door before we went to a concert which was pleasant enough. The highlight for us was breakfast the next morning. The two girls were so helpful and there was a lovely cosy feel to the place. The menu was extensive with fresh pastries, smoothies, many different cooked options, we could have stayed there all morning. As many coffees as we wanted plus the offer of one to take away with us! Amazing! We’d go back for the breakfast alone! Only negative is that the house is a little tired n dark n the bathroom had a few areas which could do with a touch up. Great location tho! Close but not too close to the main shopping area. We did have quite a walk from the car park so would find a closer one next time so best to check that out.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our overnight stay in this charming, boutique hotel. Accessed through a traditional pub, the entrance immediately set a unique, quirky tone. Our room was tastefully decorated, complete with comfortable bedding, a beautiful ensuite, and thoughtful touches such as a Roberts radio. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Would happily return, but would request a quieter room next time, if one exists.
The beautiful, original windows couldn't insulate from the noise and vibrations from passing trucks, particularly noticeable from around 5am which made sleep challenging. Additionally, the windows didn't open, explaining the presence of the stylish yet somewhat noisy Dyson fan. Parking at the Podium across the street was convenient though pricey, which is understandable given the central location in Bath.

The hotel is in the middle of Bath, very convenient with a big safe underground car park round the corner. Parking was reasonably priced for a city. Check in was through the lovely, cosy pub under the hotel but the staff knew exactly what to do and it was very efficient and friendly. The room was on the top floor, 3 flights to walk up so with all that hard work done we felt justified in all our food choices. The room was really comfortable and well stocked with fresh milk, top quality tea and coffee and a few chocolate biscotti which were delicious. The bed was big and comfortable with lovely linen and the bath room was stylish with a great shower/wetroom and nice toiletries. Breakfast was served in the hotel and the English Breakfast was delicious although we didn't try any of the healthy options and the coffee was superb.
For the price we couldn't fault it, we really enjoyed our stay.

Gorgeous unique hotel with tonnes of character, in a great location. We absolutely loved the decor in the room, and it was larger than we expected. Staff were really lovely and helpful, and breakfast was great. We were also offered a complimentary drink from the pub next door. A good shower, and luxury toiletries were appreciated. The music playing on the vintage style radio in the room was a nice touch when we first got to our room. We emailed ahead of time to make sure it was OK to leave our bags with the hotel until check in, and when we arrived later in the day to check in, bags had been placed in our room. We also left bags with them whilst we were out and about after checkout which was really helpful. Tip- check in, drop off or collect bags at either the cafe or the pub to either side, you'll also get a key to the hotel part from here.
The cafe was really quiet at breakfast which felt a little uncomfortable at times, music playing a little louder would've added some atmosphere.

Beautiful little hotel. £16 towards breakfast included which covered pretty much everything on the menu & drinks too. Lots of stairs to get to some rooms but it’s in a really old building so very narrow and no room for a lift. We felt it added to the charm. Great staff, everyone we came across was lovely.
There isn’t any parking and nearest long stay is a good 5/10 min walk away. Not many hotels in bath have parking and it’s always expensive to pay for parking but the hotel is such good value for money you can factor it into that!

The staff were very helpful. It was a good clean room with character. The showers were very good and overall a very enjoyable stay.
There were a lot of stairs to our room which did not realise there would be and it was a bit of a workout for older me, though was true in most places we visited in Bath. If you have any mobility problems, let them know beforehand. Also there was a fair bit of noise from the traffic behind the hotel at early rush hour in the morning. Lastly the temperature in some of the rooms. Because they were small it got rather warm . Although fans were provided they were rather noisy.
