We really enjoyed our stay, and it far exceeded our expectations. The staff were really helpful and there was a good atmosphere in the bar/lobby. The complementary cheese and wine on Saturday evening was a bonus. The TV has all of the pay to view Sports Channels, which we have never encountered before. We could also leave our luggage at the hotel on Sunday whilst we looked around Bath. Best of all was the location, just across from the Royal Theatre.
No negatives. We were not sure if we qualified for the free cheese and wine, but it is available to all guests on Saturdays.

I enjoyed the service provided by all members of staff, never have I had such a good experience from all members of staff (who I interacted with) when staying in a hotel. Thank you so much for making my time in Bath so lovely. I'll definitely be staying here again in the future. I also enjoyed the food and drinks served, started my time with a lovely hot chocolate, went on to enjoy some spectacular cranberry juice, and finished with a wonderful ham & cheese toastie to end my trip, overall I really enjoyed what was on offer. Thank you Z hotel Bath (and most importantly staff), for the wonderful experience, I'm looking forward to my next visit.
I would have liked to have my rooms air conditioner be a little colder than what was programmed as the limit.

It is clear from the photos / information available when making the booking that rooms are compact. Whilst this is true they are clean, and well equipped for a short stay. The location was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. The no-strings-attached cheese and wine evening (two nights / week for non-members) was a very nice touch! When we asked for tea & coffee etc. sachet replenishment, these were readily provided. We would definitely consider The Z Hotel on future visits to Bath or other locations!
Although the room had a window, it wasn't possible to open this so there is reliance on AC.

Staff were very welcoming and always had time to help you. The location was very central close to great shops restaurants bus and train station historic attractions etc. The room was nice with a range of lighting options. On Tuesdays and Saturdays complimentary cheese and wine is available to the guests Those who become members can avail of 10% booking discounts and many other perks 24 hour RECEPTION SERVICE
The windows are sealed..cannot be opened to let in a stream of fresh air. Although air-conditioning is available it is a little chilling and I wouldn't be keen to use it during Winter stays. I found the room a little too warm at night. The duvets were heavy I would have been more comfortable with a lighter tog. Basic snacks were available but no restaurant style food however there are many good cafes and restaurants in the locality.

The hotel was situated right in the city centre, close to the Roman baths and the lovely high street. It’s surrounded by bars, cafes, bakeries and restaurants. It was very easy to find. The staff were incredible, and very lovely and friendly. They accommodated our every need and went the extra mile. They even hosted a complimentary cheese and wine night for us to enjoy on Saturday night. The room was comfy and was filled with the essentials needed for a short stay. They also served food & drinks 24/7 which was a lovely touch after a few drinks bar hopping around town, they were also affordable. The hotel itself was very quiet and we had no problems with sleeping. I would 100% recommend this hotel if staying in Bath.
Nothing. However, the room was on the smaller side but that didn’t bother us as we were a couple.

I loved that there were different lighting options in the room, my room had no window so I was grateful for the different brightness in the lights. The staff were very friendly and helpful, not just for me but for other hotel stayers too! I’m only sad I didn’t get anyone’s names, as everyone was so friendly. The location of the hotel was perfect, just a short walk from the train station and and even shorter walk to some lovely local bakeries and sight seeing spots. I love that the rooms are cleaned every 2 days to reduce environmental impact, sometimes it’s just not necessary to have the room cleaned everyday!
My room had been cleaned, but I did notice a seal from a previous guest’s toiletries, it was on the floor just next to the toilet, which did have me second guessing how clean the room was, but it was only minor. Maybe some assistance on arrival for those who don’t have window rooms on how to use the air con system would also be helpful.

The hotel is right in the city centre so great for getting around and visiting all the attractions. They also serve a great breakfast, it’s a bit pricey but worth not having the hassle of trying to find somewhere else to go and there were a lot of options. They also serve barista made coffee that’s included in the breakfast price. The staff were also so lovely! The friendliest people we have come across on our trip in England. We also booked the windowless room as we were only here for a night and it didn’t feel claustrophobic.
The bed was a bit hard but that’s something you can get over when you’re only staying a night or two.

The room was clean and had everything we need. Staff was very friendly and lent us an iron and board. I really appreciated the hot water heater and coffee/tea in the room, as well as filtered water. The location was fantastic and it was a very economical way to explore Bath.
When I booked the room, the pictures showed the bed was surrounded on two sides by walls, which was fine. But the bed actually was surrounded on three sides, so I had to literally climb over my spouse to get in and out of the bed, nowhere to sit, rest my things, etc. The bathroom door slid closed with no real privacy. Really too small for two people. Luckily we only had two small day bags because there was no room for our things. The lobby was always super crowded with nowhere to relax.

The room was compact as expected, but it was well equipped and very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The bathroom also very clean with plenty of good quality towels, a soap tablet and two sachets of hair/body wash. The water in the shower could have been a little warmer, whereas the water in the basin was hot. Nice to have a kettle and tea/coffee even though such a compact room. It was great for one night, maybe two. But there is a brilliant caffe/bar/lounge area downstairs with great wifi and what looked like a smashing buffet breakfast. We didn't choose it and then later on we wished we had because the coffee and buns we bought in a nearby cafe were a right old rip-off whereas the buffet on-site had a huge selection of different items and a proper coffee machine. For the incredibly modest price, bang in the middle of Bath opposite the theatre, we thought it was terrific value.

Honestly we couldn't haves asked for more, the price was fabulous, the room, although a bit on the small size, was perfect for what we needed, a base, comfy bed, a place to put our things and super clean. We would Definately stay again.
Oh, the bathroom, it was ultra clean, modern But.... GLASS WALLS!!! Not even well obscured glass, l mean you literally could see everything! I can see that some "hip, trendy, uber modern" designer had drawn this up as "the next biggest thing" but really it so isn't! (quick tip, the "coverlette" on the bed, if fed carefully though the glass door, makes a kind of effective screen for the loo but, if you're not on your Honeymoon, you have to seriously avert your eyes if you don't want an eyeful of your nearest and dearest in the shower...) A case of "design over practicality"
