The staff is professional and adorable, the location is perfect, the rooms are cleaned everyday and we have tea, coffee (with sugar and milk) towels, shampoo and soap available, a dressing room to store your clothes. The bed is comfortable and the decor is sober. The price is really good for the localisation (Notting Hill). We will come back !
The hotel is little and old with not a good sound insulation, and not a good insulation on the windows, and there is also some mold in the bathroom, so, not perfect, but we stayed there in November and did not feel cold at all. We would have liked there to be a small bedside lamp for the evening.

The hotel’s review score is low due to the place being indeed old. However, despite the old facilities we could all confirm that everything was clean, and regularly maintained. The cleaning was done every day, it was very warm and cozy into our room, we were also given a suitable room as per the fact that we were also couple and a girl. The location is super, just one bus going to anywhere, underground is also an option.
The whole hotel is old and looks not in maintenance, but this is not the case. Earlier check in is not possible at all. The cleaning crew comes earlier to ask if they can clean your room before the check out time, however if you refuse, they leave you take your time.

Location was good. Check in was as described in the email and very simple. No idea why other reviewers have struggled so much. Hotel and room was in line with expectation given the extremely low price we paid. The room was clean and tidy and being on the top floor we had a nice view of the park out of our window. It’s 83 fairly steep steps up which we had no issue with but probably wouldn’t be suitable for people with walking difficulties or families with young children. Beds were comfortable enough, Bathroom was fine with shampoo and soap supplied. On the whole this hotel represented excellent value for money for us. If you’re going to London to spend lots of time in your hotel this one probably isn’t suitable. If you just need a good base to wash and sleep it’s perfectly acceptable. Tube station, shops and some cracking pubs are no more than 10 minutes walk. Surrounding area is very nice.
Shower drains a bit slowly so water builds up ankle deep by the time you finish.

It exceeded our expectation. We actually brought our own towel, and toiletries after reading some reviews but to our surprise, the room was really nice & clean, well made up.. there were enough clean towels, the bathroom were filled with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap and enough toilet paper! they even have plenty coffee, teas, sugar and milk. we got a room with 3 single bed and 1 double bed.. for the price and location, we couldnt be happier! the check in process was quick and easy too! definitely we will choose this hotel again for our next trip to london. highly recommended!

My favorite location in London. Very cheap place to stay and to find many important parts of the city. Let's face it, it's a 2 star hotel and no one should expect miracles. I have been in much worst places before right in that neighborhood. I had a very nice bathroom, everything was clean. The ladies cleaned every morning.
No breakfast possible, big windows make it pretty cold in winter, it takes long to get hot water in the shower.

For the price, the hotel was more than okay. We had a triple room for 66 pounds. Room, the bathroom, the towels and linens were very clean. It’s an old property so the room and bathroom is old but they are clean. Our major issue was the beds. They are the most uncomfortable beds I ever slept in. You lie down and sink in. I woke up okay but if I we had to stay more than one night, I’m sure we would have serious back pain issues.
The beds are the worst I have ever slept in and I have travelled a lot from hostels and motels to five star accommodation during my adult life.

I liked that I had my own private bathroom and the shower was great with excellent pressure and temperature control. There was heat in the room so, the room stayed nice and warm. Also, the location was good and on a quiet street so I slept very well.
The reception area was under renovation but of course that is a temporary issue. My room was a bit small but I slept well. I didn't like that there was only wifi in the reception area and not in the rooms, although later in the evening it did work in my room which was a nice surprise.

The room was really spacious with 2 beds on 1 level and the rest on the mezzanine. The ceiling height for mezzanine wasn't ideal (I'm 5'7 and had to stoop) but it was a good use of space and allowed us to all stay in 1 room. Basic tea and coffee were provided along with soap. The bathroom was small but very clean and had everything you needed. The location was great and was only a short walk to 2 different tube stations.
The towels were very tired and rather threadbare but not really a problem.
