Property was large compared to everywhere else we stayed. Beds were very comfortable. Laundry was convenient and worked well. Location was central to a lot of sites. Kitchen was excellent and stocked with utensils, eatingware, cookingware. Very clean property. The British guy at registration was awesome and made us feel very welcome, trying to help with whatever we needed.

It was little hard to find the registration area with all our bags. But once we found it, the registration was quick. We did not take the shuttle - we opted for an Uber because our room was ready and we did not want to take the shuttle.

A recommendation would be for floor 1 apartment to put blinds on uncovered windows and doors. It was inefficient for heating. When you walked from bedroom to kitchen it was always freezing but the rooms were lovely and warm. The bedrooms in both units were very light in the morning and once again some good blinds could fix this. Otherwise we loved both apartments. Not complaints as such just some positive suggestions for improvement

We checked in at the Resi Stay offices directly opposite the station which was very convenient. We were given directions and instructions on unlocking the property which was easy enough. The apartment was huge! 2 bedrooms and plenty of space to chill out after long days out and about in Kyoto. The location was perfect and so close to everywhere.

The property was a little dated but it really didn't matter that much. The space and comfort were great.

Location was great, very close to station. Apartment size for a family of 5 was excellent. Not the most updated but still quite clean and roomy. Kitchen big enough to do some cooking.

Washing machine and dryer are all in one. It's not practical for a family of 5 as you'll need around 6 hrs to wash and dry one load.

Being surrounded by a vast range of restaurants, we didn’t cook at all. Didn’t even make coffee, as Kyoto has a fine coffee culture and it was easy to buy coffee locally each morning. Gion is a lively area and centrally located for most site-seeing in Kyoto. Also recommend doing a walking tour with a local host.

The property has a great location near attractions and easy access to public transportation.

Taxis are readily available throughout the city but don’t always know where the property is. A Japanese written direction would be helpful.

The place was spacious enough and had comfy beds (though the queen beds are both two double squished together). Location was pretty good – close to trains and within walking distance to a bunch of food in Gion.

Check in process was horrible – not at the housing location, but rather at another place right next to the train station. It took almost an hour and someone reading every line of the check in documents to get the directions to the keys (not even the keys themselves), after waiting to talk to someone. The office was cramped and bags/people were everywhere. Resi Stay needs to overhaul that. When we got to the place, it was so weird. One huge long place, almost no furniture except three bar stools and the two beds and a dresser, and questionable cleanliness everywhere. Red blood-like stains on the wall above the bed, bad smell in the kitchen, and the whole place looked rather run down. Cleaning the place and adding some couches/comfy chairs would go a long way towards making it less sterile and more comforting. The sink/entrance to the toilet/shower was so cramped despite the huge amount of space dedicated to closets and storage elsewhere in this rather spacious place. Just a questionable layout throughout that really colored our stay. Noise through the windows was pretty loud with them closed during the night, as it faces a busy street and there was a lot of traffic passing.
