I am going to be completely honest about my experience here. Upon arrival at this place I thought, this is NOT going to be a good experience, you have the feeling that its going to be some party bar and I am not going to get any sleep. You have to pay for parking but you are given a badge (of sorts) to put on your dashboard and you park behind the hotel. We were upgraded to a room that was RIGHT above the Bar where there was some loud music playing , upon getting in the room it became very apparent that someone had done a phenomenal job on the insulation in this building. It was completely silent!! We had a beautiful view over the Golf course and the Atlantic. its a really short walk down the hill to the beach and there is a building there with multiple restaurants inside. Outside and indoor seating options. Breakfast was free unless you wanted a cooked breakfast which was really nice.

The reception lady (dark hair) was quite rude didn’t really speak to us attall, not very friendly and no customer service skills, no welcome didn’t tell us anything about the hotel times breakfast etc, we have stayed there before and she was the same last time, when we were leaving there was another light haired lady and she was the complete opposite very friendly indeed

Second time coming here. Great location, tasty food, dog friendly, majority of staff very polite and welcoming and all seemed to be dog lovers. Breakfast was included in room cost and you can choose from continental buffet or hot food. You can help yourself to both if you want. Beautiful views from the balcony - can see a lovely golf course and fistral beach. To the back of the hotel there are more lovely views cliffside. Room was very clean upon arrival. The restaurant downstairs is very beautiful and aesthetically pleasing.

Food very expensive, beds were quite hard and uncomfortable as well as pillows. We asked for some tea and coffee for the room twice and never received any after being told they will be right up. There were a couple of staff members who were a bit blunt and not majorly welcoming when we arrived first day. Another family experienced this with the young waitress too and ended up leaving the restaurant.

The staff were very friendly and had great hospitality, it was my partner’s birthday and they helped prepare the room for her as a surprise, they really went the extra mile for this and the rest of the trip! The food in the restaurant/bar for breakfast was excellent and the quality of ingredients was superb. There was ample parking available at the back of the hotel. The location was perfect for local walks around the area and a close walk away from the Newquay shops and restaurants. As the hotel was dog friendly, our dog was welcome in most places of the hotel and was treated like a member of the family by the staff.

The location was brilliant. Close to the Fistral Beach Bar complex - though bear in mind that out of peak season many restaurants and shops only seem to open later in the week (perhaps Thu-Sun). Walking distance of both Newquay town centre and the Sainsbury’s supermarket. Easy walking to Fistral Beach, Little Fistral and the Towan headland. It was good to be able to park off the road in a dedicated car park area at the rear (I don’t think there are any points there for charging electric vehicles though). At the time we stayed (beginning of March 2025, Sun-Wed), the hotel was quiet. I would expect it to be much busier later in the season. Our room was on the first floor over the bar area and I can imagine that in peak season the music and conversations from that area might be more disruptive than it was when we stayed. I can’t comment on the food - we didn’t eat at the hotel during our stay. We sourced our own breakfasts and because of the time of year and days of week, no evening meals were available. The bar area was nice for drinks though! There is a terrace at the front outside the bar area that looked very inviting with outside heaters at one or more tables but it was not quite warm enough yet for us to sit out in the evening. Hardier souls seemed to enjoy it though! There were beautiful sunsets over Fistral each night (weather permitting). The bed was comfy, and the room had a view over the golf course and the sea. The room was clean, had a little fridge, ample power sockets including USB charging slots. Almost everyone we met who worked at the hotel went out of their way to be very friendly and helpful.

There was little to dislike.

We have never been to such a friendly hotel. Staff couldn’t do enough for you and always had time for a laugh and a chat. It made such a lovely atmosphere, so relaxed. We had a nice room with a Seaview. Which was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was superb. Plenty of choice of cereals, fruit juices, teas and coffee. Lots of choices for cooked breakfast but we had the full Cornish which was excellent. The hotels was well situated, only a short walk into town to the pubs and restaurants one way.We went the other way spending a lovely day walking on the beach right out to the far headland enjoying the bright day and lovely views.

Great location away from the main town. Excellent view from room of golf course and Fistral Beach. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the ladies at breakfast. Seating area in room together with the balcony gave a sense of space. Good breakfast collection with quality bacon, sausages etc.

Dinner food menu was limited and you couldn't stay for a week and eat in nightly and unfortunately the restaurants in town were not great. Has anyone in Newquay heard of providing vegetables with main meals? When catch of the day remains the same for 5 days it does not encourage you to eat in and has you doubting the freshness.

The location was fantastic. We had room 111 so had a huge balcony with table, chairs and basic loungers. Stunning view of fistral beach and the golf course. Falling asleep and waking to the sound of the crashing waves was very soothing. The room was bright and airy with a beautiful sky mural behind the headboard. The bathroom was a lovely and a great size with a useful anti steam mirror. The food in the restaurant was gorgeous. The huge cream tea was absolutely stunning and a special treat. The staff was very friendly and room service was great upon request.

The beds, though large, are very hard. There is a wardrobe to share and 2 bedside cabinets. Storage was very limited. Unfortunately sound carries terribly here. Other guests kept us awake nearly all night slamming doors and bring rowdy in the halls. Upstairs neighbours were moving furniture at 1:30 am. So loud at first we thought it was thunder lol. Just be mindful if your intention is to have a restful break. Though the chefs were fabulous, the menu is a little limited for a long stay.

The location was stellar. The beds were very comfortable, the decor was nice but could use a paint refresh. The room was clean as was the bathroom, although a little tight in the shower. Unfortunatley our room overlooked the car park, but it was bright and had windows that opened for freshair. Having on-site parking was a plus. There is a restaurant and bar, and although we didn't partake, the food looked and smelled yummy. One thing that was surprising was how quiet it was. All in all decent value for the money.

Loved the location. Close to the beach but the town was easy to walk to. Plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby. Parking round the back very accessible for moving luggage. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and the views sublime. Breakfast was fabulous - a huge range of choice and freshly cooked. Great balcony view and a chilled, quiet stay. Would definitely recommend!

Small towels but that is being picky.
