The location is great! Few blocks from Russel Square underground and from Euston station. Plenty of buses line around too. Staff is nice. Room and bathroom clean and comfortable. I recommend this hotel!
Not so great sound proofing, you can hear conversations from other rooms. If you are a light sleeper that might be a problem.

The hotel is located in a nice and quiet area with several tube stations within walking distance. The room was a bit small but still very comfortable. Great staff both in the reception, in the bar and in the breakfast restaurant. Excelent breakfast with plenty of items to choose from. Highly recommended.
Nothing really apart from that the room was quite hot and we couldn't adjust the temperature of the radiator. We had to sleep with the window open which is a waste of energy and not very sustainable.

We arrived by Eurostar at St. Pancras International station, which is within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is nicely situated opposite a little park. Breakfast was very good, so much choice, complete English breakfast, little (chocolate) croissants, buns, fresh fruits, different kinds of yogurts and cereals, toasted bread, all kinds of coffees and of course tea. Me and my 18-year-old son stayed for 4 days, the metro stations are near the hotel (an 8-minute walk), bus stations are closer by, and we actually saw almost everything we wanted to see in London.
Just one small remark about the bathroom. The shower is in the bath, which is quite small to stand in.

Great location to Euston for transport. Lovely âşď¸ staff and front foyer.
Bathrooms very small, climbing in & out of shower may be a problem for some as in bathtub. I have two knee replacements.

Although clearly quite an old and slightly dated building (it doesnât look particularly smart from the outside), the bedroom and bathroom were both very clean and quite spacious. We were upgraded to a king size bed which really was huge and very comfortable. There was a kettle with plenty of tea & coffee plus a small table with two chairs. Brilliant shower. Very powerful. Would definitely use again if travelling by Eurostar - a 15 minute walk away. Staff were all extremely obliging and friendly.
Minor point but beware the water in the bathroom. The cold comes out as hot for quite a while. You have to run it for ages until you get cold water for cleaning teeth!

We really enjoyed staying here. The hotel is in a superb location looking out on Tavistock Square, with Euston station about five minutes walk, and Kingâs Cross - St Pancras about fifteen minutes. Plenty Underground lines within easy reach, and a lot of cultural attractions like the British Museum and British Library too. It felt like a relatively safe place to walk back to at night. The lobby is a beautiful Art Deco space, and the rooms have similar Art Deco-ish details. Our room looked out into a courtyard and roofs below. There was an extractor fan below which ran all night, but personally Iâd rather have that sort of constant âwhite noiseâ than the intermittent noise of vehicles/ sirens/ voices in the street. The room was small but had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was powerful and hot. There was also a bath, which was an unexpected bonus! The room was very warm, even with the heating off and window open, but a desk fan had been provided. All staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good, with hot items kept fresh and nicely presented. There was a good selection of continental items including meat, cheese, fruit and mini pastries. Hot drinks were self service from a machine. Breakfast is served until 10am, which is useful for slow-paced holidaymakers!
The price is relatively steep for what you get, but thatâs the nature of staying in central London and certainly not unique to this hotel. Some more staff at breakfast might have been helpful - those there were working very hard and a few times necessities like cutlery had run out. Noting mostly for the benefit of any hotel staff reading this: housekeeping changed our towels every day although weâd hung them up, as instructed, to signify we were happy to keep them. Of course this wasnât a problem for us, but it would help out your eco-credentials not to do this!

The hotel was at a great location, a lot of tourist attractions were at walking distance and there were a lot of possibilities to take public transport nearby. The bed was very comfortable and big, the room was perfect for a short stay. Staff was nice and we were able to leave our bags at the hotel before check-in and after check-out, which was a great service!
The bathroom was a bit outdated and the cleaning could be done a bit better. Also thin walls so if you are a light sleeper that could be a slight issue, we got woken up by the neighbours a few times. One thing we missed in the room was a small fridge, it would have been nice to keep the drinks cool that we bought for a late night snack.

We like that the hotel building is old/heritage building, with art deco design. The location is superb, nearby restaurants/minimarket and easy to reach with public transportation. The staff was friendly and helpful (helping us with our delayed baggage). Breakfast was great, my family especially my son enjoyed the meals very much. It was also convenient to have a good bar at the hotel, The Woolf and Whistle (in the cold weather at night we'd rather stay and dine in the hotel), with good food, and relative late closing hour. The rooms were clean, the beds comfy. Overall a pleasant stay
We suggest the amenities can be better/more complete. And also the refill of tea/sugar was not always done daily. The interior is OK, maybe someday can be refurbished, while still in line with the retro vibe.

Perfect location, Bloomsbury is one of my favourite neighbourhoods in London. Hotel is maybe a bit outdated but I liked its charm and itâs very clean and affordable. I was worried that room on the first floor overlooking the city park will be loud but with windows shut it was quiet to sleep. Iâm a light sleeper and there were no problems for me. With open windows thereâs noise from the street but thatâs central London. There is no air con so in summer time I suppose it would be hard to sleep with windows closed. Bathroom and water pressure was fine and beds were very comfortable. Only things that were missing was: small fridge and hooks on the walls. There is a small built in wardrobe to put your clothes, but hooks would be even more convenient. Iâm definitely planning to come back, combo of location, price and cleanliness is perfect for a short stay.

Location is excellent, not too far from Russell Square tube station which is on the Piccadilly line. Breakfast was delicious. The room was spotlessly clean. Staff all friendly. Able to leave luggage at the hotel on check out day to collect later. Beds extremely comfortable.
It would have been good to have a blind/blind curtain between the window and curtain so that it would be possible to have the curtains open during the day without the neighbouring building peering in! The decor of the bedrooms and bathrooms is a little dated but the price is great and everything spotlessly clean. We didnât really mind the slightly dated decor!
