Beautiful building and surroundings, great location and fantastic staff and service
I requested a twin room for our stay (2 female best friends) when I booked. We were given a double room. When I questioned this and asked for a twin, I was told this wasn’t something I could book, and could only ‘request’ . Whilst this didn’t spoil our visit at all, and we have been friends for over 40 years, so we managed in the room given, I do feel this is a fundamental element of a hotel booking requirement (particularly with consideration of the cost of the stay) This maybe something you could look into.

The main hotel building is wonderful, at all times of the day we were greeted politely by the staff wherever we were in the building. however the room did not meet my expectations. It was just another hotel room. Paint peeling in the bathroom, light inside wardrobe flickering did not boost my confidence about the electrical system.
The room in a newer wing was just an ordinary hotel room, none of the character of the main building. Peeling paint in the bathroom and a flickering light in the wardrobe. Not in my opinion worth the high price paid.

it is a beautiful hotel right on a main trandsport hub ... great for photography .. but you don't have to stay there
unless you spend many thousand pounds for a suite ... their normal rooms are very ordinary and way overpriced ... they are located in an ordinary annex attached to the hotel by a long boring corridor... it felt like i was staying in a Potemkin Hotel - the ones with a grand front with an ordinary room behind ... i moved out and found a much much less expensive option just one minute away .. so I could still meet friends in their lobby cafe ... but beware ... a very ordinary biscuit will cost you 4 pounds .EACH ... I had a family get together dinner and good family photo opportunities in their beautiful dining room which was fun but again the food was way overpriced and very ordinary ... I wont stay there again

Everything the hotel is some big and impressive, absolutely stunning inside and out. Staff are so welcoming and polite cant do enough for you. Our room in Barlow house although modern in contract to the building was very large, comfortable and spotless clean. It was my special birthday and the hotel gave us a glass of bubbly on arrival and sent a cake and bubbly to our room. This is the best hotel in the UK I have ever stayed in. Special thank you to Yana on reception she was so lovely when we checked in and every time we saw her after she asked how we enjoy the shows we had booked and were we enjoying the hotel, we thanked her for the cake and bubbly. There was a private event on which we were told about before our arrival, so some places were blocked off but this was not a inconvenience at all.
Nothing its perfect

This was the most memorable hotel experience of our life. When I arrived at the hotel there was a short line up at the reception and one of the staff offered me a glass of prosecco while I waited. It was such a lovely touch and I really enjoyed the short wait. The check-in reception clerk was extremely kind and helpful and charming and we got into a conversation about the history of the hotel. When he gave me the key he asked if I needed help with my bag. I said no but then he said that there were a few steps up to the room - so I said - "OK, in that case thank you I would like help." He said, "It is the Royal Suite" on the second floor to your left as you get off the elevator, I will meet you there. I thought I had misheard him or that there was some other meaning to the words "Royal Suite" besides, well, "Royal Suite." Luckily, he was right behind me to help me find the correct door. When I opened it I was astounded. "Royal Suite" meant "Royal Suite" I said, "OH my goodness, this is stupendously beautiful! How did this happen??" He said that the hotel had been absolutely and completely fully booked that night and that he had been able to give me an upgrade to this suite. Everything about it was luxurious beyond anything I have ever experienced before. The ceilings stretched up practically to the sky, the bedroom was elegant in the extreme, the living and dining room were simply palatial. The St. Pancras is now my absolute favourite hotel in London. Every aspect of the ground floor common areas - the entry way and the bar and dining areas - also dazzle. Being connected to the station is also a tremendous bonus and convenience when heading to the Eurostar. The staircases and landings and walls and windows on the second floor were also gorgeous and gave such a sophisticated and lovely atmosphere to the whole hotel. We will remember our stay there forever. We will return again and again.
Nothing! It was perfect.

The breakfast in the booking office was very good. The building is gorgeous and so was the room. We came down from Leeds and the train comes in to Kings Cross so it was a great location for us.
The hotel says it is part of the pledge of reducing food waste however offer a cold and hot dish. The cold dish of homemade Granola was massive given it was a part of a larger breakfast offering. This led to my partner only having a few mouthfuls as she wanted to enjoy her warm breakfast. I did not like the buffet breakfast and was surprised this was offered as a good thing to those it paid for more expensive rooms. I prefer table service. Trying to figure out the lights in the room and finding out you cannot have the bathroom lights on without some of the room lights on unless you have the sequence correct. The pillows were to thin for my liking and there was nothing to suggest I could have a choice of different pillows.

The greeting at reception was great and the lady that handled our check in very professional and helpful. It was my wife's 60th birthday and when we got to our room there was a wonderful cake on a marble slab with Happy birthday along with a bottle of sparkling wine in ice. Very nice touch. The room was excellent, outstanding finishes, comfortable bed and it was great to be able to stay in this great building. Breakfast was one of the best selections I have had and I tried new dishes which were excellent, again with very attentative staff. Thank you for making this a wonderful stay for us.

When I first arrived I was early and my room wasn't ready. The girl who worked at the front desk, YANA, made my waiting very comfortable. She made sure I had a nice spot to wait in the lobby, since I had just traveled over 10 hours to get there. She was a great source of help throughout my stay. She helped me call an Uber, she always greeted me and had a nice smile and kind word for me. I liked the fact that there was food and drink available in the lobby area.
I wished I had made a reservation in the Spa for a treatment. I tried to find the Spa a couple of times and I didn't feel the signs to the Spa were clear as I never did find the Spa during the week that I was staying at the hotel.

Very cool, I loved the architecture, and hotel rooms didn’t feel cold and cramped like most hotels in London. Very nice location too. Recommended.
I didn’t like my check in experience. When booking I wasn’t told to bring certain things and then was met with additional forms. When explaining to the check in clerk that they should have informed me up front I was met with ambivalence and a lack of care. They simply said “this is how we do things” when given constructive feedback. I didn’t get the expectation that they had any care to improve this or to my criticism to heart.

The people were wonderful, from check-in, bag delivery, at the bar, at dinner, at check-out. The room, overlooking the bar, was dark and quiet and very comfortable. The building is just sensational. The rum punch ceremony was brilliant.
Loved the disability friendly room, yet it needs two shaving mirrors as someone my height just can't use a mirror set to be wheelchair friendly. Also the light in the mirror wasn't working. Getting really picky now - the light switches are really confusing and the absence of spare sockets, or USB sockets, near the bed was irritating.
