Location is amazing Walking distance to hyde park, national museums and attractions in London Walking distance to Edgware road where you can find plenty of authentic Arabic and Turkish food Good for.solo travellers,it is a bit condensed with travelers from everywhere but it is basic for who wants a bit to sleep There is a small kitchen where you can prepare a small meal or share tea, coffee and cookies Walking distance to tesco , Sainsbury's,local groceries and coffee shops including Starbucks Walking distance to pound land shop where you can get your basic supplies for the trip and cheap gifts with 1-5£ Close to train and metro station where you can move so smoothly in london to different attractions Walking distance to big London tour station in marble arch where you can ride the bus for 2-3 hours in london for the most historic places
I found it difficult to use the shower sometimes especially the 1st day as it was always occupied and the toilet wasn't always available. The hotel would benefit for more maintenance of the heating and ventilation system and providing more rest facilities indoors It took me ten minutes to find the hotel as there were no signs to guide you to it

I have reviewed this property very recently. An excellent location & a well run tidy property. Bonuses are the well equipped kitchen & dining room along with a laundry. They are a great bunch of staff. This is an original backpackers place. Also recycling is widely available. Be advised the limit of any stay is 7 nights per year & is strictly enforced. There are coded locks on the main entrance as well as key cards for the rooms. Breakfast is a pay separately affair & is modest. All in all an excellent place. Just be aware of the steep stairs in this older building.

The staff are absolutely amazing. A joy and a riot ( in a good way) to be around. I stayed for around 3 days and had a lot of laughs with them. The staff was the unique selling point for me as they were good spirited and ultra positive. They go above and beyond their call of duty to make u feel at home and comfortable. Just a good vibe about the place. When I first arrived, Jasmine was at reception. She welcomed me with a big smile , like a was some high school friend she hadn't seen for a years. And all through my stay she is always smiling with everyone here. She is enthusiastic, approachable and creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. And Matt was a great help to me, very patient and understanding. Bc when I came back to hostel late the first night. I had to put my belongings in order, in the store room. Which took me a good while. So thanks Matt for giving me the time to do that. I promise to travel light and organise my stuff next. And Jarred what a bloke. So chilled and super friendly. From the get go, he makes everyone laugh. Super helpful, I made some inquiries regarding another subject and he actually googled it for me and gave me the info. Top G. Thank you all for a memorable stay. Definitely will visit again.
Not much to not like really. If I had to pick anything it would be the slow charging sockets/blocks for gadgets/phones beside each bed. It just takes toooo looooong to charge a phone. If they can be updated in near future with more powerful, faster charging units. That would be the icing on the cake.

Great location and for the price there really is no beating it. The rooms were small but well equipped, having a hair dryer would be a nice touch but again, it was really well equipped for the price. The place was clean and we slept really well. Staff were absolutely lovely and brilliant both at check in and check out, both of which were really easy and straight forward. The hostel also offers breakfast for £3.50 which we didn't manage to try but it surely is a great deal for London. Absolutely will be coming back if I ever need to stay in London again
The fan in the bathroom at times didn't turn off which made a fair bit of noise. Also the place itself isn't the most accessible, we were on the fifth floor and it was a long way up the stairs. This wasn't a problem for us but might be for someone who has mobility issues

Good location, friendly helpful staff. Convenient for transport and shops. The fans in the room, a blessing in the hot weather. A good sized and equipped kitchen with ample space in the fridges to store your food. A good size under bed locker, although you had usb ports by your bed a power point would have been nice. A few films/programmes shown on Netflix.
The stairs, I was on the fourth floor, it was a pain if you were going from the kitchen which was in the basement back to the room. Couldn't always use the lounge as it was busy so a plug by your bed would have been nice (There were a few sockets in the room but they were in use a lot of the time and there was only one stool to sit on. Some of the other guests were a challenge shall we say.

The staff was lovely and kind, the bed was clean and comfortable and the overall hostel's vibe is good! The living room and kitchen are nice sharing spaces. Also, the location is convenient and beautiful. Next to Hyde Park and in such a lovely neighborhood.
The room could be a bit cleaner, there was some dust on the floor and the toilet had a strange smell most of the time due to air ventilation I would say, but it was clean anyhow. I recommend bringing your own padlock because the one that I bought at the reception wasn't really handy, but it's done its purpose. :)

The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Very outgoing and welcoming. Special shoutout to Ryan, Felix and Talae who all went out of their way to make sure i was getting out and exploring everything in the area. They were super friendly and approachable with a great customer focus of offering suggestions for the surrounding areas.
Internet was horrendous and often didnt reach the room, however i was informed that this was something being worked on. No curtains on some of the beds. Which would have been nice.

Superb staff.Excellent location.Very close to Hyde Park and local shops and restaurants.Very nice area and safe at night .Just watch your phone and wallet in Queensway if its busy.A nice area for women as safer than some other areas.
I think if there is a school trip staying then the staff should be responsible for noise late at night it shouldnt be that the staff have to tell them to calm down.First group was superb but the older group of French ones had some noisy characters who were deeply unpopular with the guests.Again the team leaders must ensure guests have a peaceful night not disturbed by their kids. However the staff were great despite some having only 4 hours sleep. So if you like your zzz'z check if theres a school group staying.

This is the best hostel I have ever been to. The location is superb, right around the corner there is Kensington and Hyde Park. The staff were extremely customer-oriented, friendly and willing to step in in case of need ( I had some with late check out and buying the new suitcases cause the old one had the zip broken). The street is quiet so you can enjoy your morning coffee and a cigarette in silence. I will definitely return to this hostel .
The only issue is the staircase , which looks like the one in old castles or Disney’s “Sleeping Beauty”. To climb up to the fifth floor was an ordeal . Exactly the same when the Sleeping Beauty/ Aurora climbed up to touch the spindle . And when you get to the 5th floor, the door handle is at the level of your head , so you think “Finally, this is the “Spindle Room “. 😃but memorable staircase though!

A great find in the affluent area of Queensway west london. Close to shops, bars, restaurants & transport options both local & also 15 mins walk(5 by bus) to Paddington station. Duly equippped with Kitchen & laundry as well as a guest lounge. 24 hour reception with coded access after 10pm so safe & secure.
No problems other than if your room is on the fifth floor as there are no lifts so quite a climb with bags which you may be better off leaving in the luggage room on the ground floor.
