the kitchen was very good, it had a washing machine, oven, dish washer, a microwave and small appliances. so it was a great place to stay for like 2 weeks. the location was more or less central. I stayed in the 5th floor so it was quiet but there was some noise in the weekends.

probably because the room was located at the far end of the hallway, the wifi was horrible, it kept getting disconnected. also it would be nice if the electrical sockets had usb sockets in them. travelling in the winter, the room was cold despite the AC working.

Great location for the royal mile, Arthur seat, Holyrood palace, castle etc. 15mins from Tram line if needed otherwise 20 mins walking distance from edinburgh waverley station. apartment was spacious, and facilities were good. perfect for families! Staff was really friendly - Daniel was superb!

They updating the building from top to bottom it seems - our apartment needed updated and modernised. the lighting not so great, it still seemed quite dark with all the lights on. we had floor level apartment so if you open the blinds everyone can see into the rooms- they should do screen privacy windows for those level apartment windows to allow blinds to be open but nobody to be able to see inside.

The location is very good, the layout of the apartment and its equipment is very nice

Not being able to pay in cash, they only accept credit cards. And something that bothers me a lot is that 15 minutes before 11am check-out time, they opened me 2 times without hitting the cleaning service. Absolutely unpleasant

Kitchen complete. Washer/drier. Lift is helpful if your room is upstair. Location is in between and near to calton hill and arthur seat. There is maycheelin the chinesse shop and tesco behind the hotel.

It's around 800m to Royal Mile and the road is going up towards the royal mile. So sometimes I ran out my breath, but it's not a problem. No luggage storage, but I think its fine with me too. Although it's near to a bus stop, the bus stop for waverley station or bus station is different, you need to walk more to a bus stop where you need to take high stairs towards calton hill. I brough a big and heavy luggage so it's painful. But overall, the stay was great.

Great location within walking distance of main attractions. Comfy beds. Well kitted out kitchen.

They put extra £50 for incidentals on my card and said I would get in back within 9 days. That's my money I wasn't going to get incidentals!

The remote for small TV was broken, no mugs or glasses in kitchen or instructions for appliances - muddled through but the little details would have made a difference

One of the highlights was the impeccable cleanliness and the array of necessary comforts, including a convenient washing machine with a dryer—perfect for longer stays. Despite its proximity to the center, noise was never an issue, allowing for a peaceful night's rest. As an Outlander fan, walking through Bakehouse Close to reach the hotel was an absolute delight, adding a touch of charm to our daily commute. The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful, always ready to assist with any inquiries or recommendations. Overall, our experience at Holyrood Hotel was truly delightful, and we're already planning our return in the near future. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in Edinburgh.
