Staff very friendly , great location and good value for money
We stayed for a long weekend the room was lovely when we checked in with little extras in the room. But as the weekend passed we got less and less facilities the room was only hoovered once during our stay, glasses were left dirty in the room, rooms which had a change over seemed to get priority whilst we paid just as much and didn’t receive the same privileges. Whilst we would stay here again wouldn’t stay for so long. Having the staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you . Breakfast was great with plenty of choice

This property is a minute or two’s walk from the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water. There is sufficient car parking, but I recommend you try to use one of the positions at the front rather than negotiate the tight set-up at the back. I received a warm welcome from the hostess who escorted me to my room in the “annex” on the opposite side of the road from the main site. This provides 4 rooms but accentuates the only drawback; access to the upper floors is by stairs only so disabled guests would find the arrangement challenging. I had the topmost room set in the roof space and being 6ft 2in tall, there was an ever-present danger of striking one’s head. Nevertheless, the room itself was very well-appointed. The large double bed was comfortable and ample bedding and pillows were provided. There is enough storage allowing the room to be uncluttered by baggage or clothing. The modern bathroom was large offering a shower stall, wash hand basin, and toilet. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash liquids are also provided. The Wifi connection is excellent providing plenty of bandwidth. Breakfast is taken in the main building and offers a good range of cereals, breads and cooked options. My delicious “full English” was freshly cooked to order. The location is a great base from which to explore the Cotswolds and I enjoyed my stay at the Lansdowne Guest House very much.
The only drawback is that access to the upper floors is by stairs alone.

Very clean and well presented property, room was lovely with towels made into swans on the bed as my wife and me was there to celebrate our anniversary. Nice comfy bed for the evening quite firm but fine with us , complementary tea coffee and an assortment of soft drinks & chocolate in the fridge was a lovely gesture. Breakfast in the morning was very good and plentiful and staff were lovely recommending places to see that we’ve enjoyed and will come back to see the area in a summer when the weather is hopefully better.
Pillows on the bed wasn’t the best and woke up several times during the night. Was also disturbed in the room not long after arriving and didn’t have much on whilst relaxing on the bed , the door was opened without knocking first ,to bring us something up which we never got but the owner got more than she bargained for !!!! The wife felt a little embarrassed but won’t stop us coming back.

What can I say - you guys have the best general manager around! Corinne was such a brilliant host, welcoming us after a long journey with the brighest smile and always checking in with everyone and making us all feel at home despite the busy-ness. Breakfast was phenomenal - so homely and such a widespread, i could even request for extras without a charge! We went in a time where the weather was cool hence not an issue with heat but note that there isn't an AC in the house. A fan is provided though which was more than enough for May's weather. We woke up to birds chirping away and was just such a fantastic time here! The place is also very clean.
There isn't a lift so you will have to bring your luggages up the staircase

We booked this place as a birthday treat away and it was brilliant. Corinne and the team are incredibly welcoming, the breakfast was amazing, the room was clean and comfortable and within walking distance of the main part of the village. We were in room 7 which overlooks the car park so it was lovely and quiet. The bathroom had a lovely big bath in it and the shower was great. There's a great walk which starts in the village so this is perfectly located. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to explore Bourton on the Water and the surrounding Cotswolds.
The bathroom could benefit from an undersink cabinet to put toiletries in and out of the way, but it's not major.

Our bed was very comfortable, and perfect for our 1 night stay. The shower was hot with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel all provided. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room and there was also a mini electric cooler box where we stored a small bottle of fresh milk which we were provided with when we arrived, (the cooler was big enough to store the milk and a small bottle of water). We had booked to go on the Hawkstone Brewery Tour and it was only a 20mins walk there from The Lansdowne Guest House. Also, it's less than 20yards from a pub, (The Mousetrap Inn) where we went for dinner that evening.. Our stay at The Lansdowne included breakfast in the morning, which was delicious, and parking - which is a huge bonus in Bourton-on-the-water!
The television in our room was on the wall to the side of our bed - which made it uncomfortable to watch, unless you want a crick in your neck.

The Lansdowne Guest House is perfectly located at the end of the High Street, we had not anticipated our room to not be in the main building, we had to cross the street and our room was in a semi-detached house opposite the main guest house, but easy to navigate. The room was nice, well equipped, bed was a little soft and low for our liking, but personal preference. It was spotlessly clean, shower was great, tea/coffee facilities were good and we were given fresh milk for our mini-fridge which was a lovely touch. Super friendly and helpful staff, breakfast was delicious, it was perfect for our one-night stay. Thank you x
Our personal preference would be a firmer mattress and a higher bed, but that's just us. A lamp on the table by the fridge would be useful for using the mirror to put on make up.

The location is perfect, just only a few minutes walk into the center. Great restaurants recommended. Friendly and helpful greetings from the staff team. Having the private car park is a plus of this place especially during the high season. The breakfast was prepared with a good taste & presentation and with proportion suited to your need (so there is no waste). The rooms are beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable for our 2-night stay.
Was assigned to rooms on 2nd floor and could hear all the steps & squeaking sound on the third floor and the door of nearby rooms during the late night. Also by being close to the main street into the center, the sound of the truck & car engine before 6 AM and after 9 PM could disturb your sleep if you are a light sleeper.

The Lansdowne Guest House, is in the most goregous location and the complimentary parking means you don't have to worry about getting around Bourton-on-the-Water - you can leave the car and go and explore the area! The Guest House is very cosy and welcoming and has all the amenities for a wonderful stay. Corrinne, made check in easy and her communication was excellent - she messaged on the day to let me know I could have the room early, and she kept in regular contact before my stay. She was super flexible and came in specially to prepare my breakfast half an hour early, as I had to leave for a work event. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Lansdowne :-)
