The property was beautiful. Lovely furniture and furnishings. The riverside decked area was a real bonus. The location is fantastic, only a couple of minutes walk to the city centre. We were provided with a fantastic hamper of bread, croissants, eggs, coffee capsules, milk etc. sufficient for breakfast on all the days of our stay. Appreciated the supply of dressing gowns for a cosy night in. Owners were on hand for any questions we had and very accommodating with allowing us to leave our bags for an extra hour after check out. Definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

Chris and Wedy are the perfect hosts, they have simply applied all the lovely things and amenities they would like to have when travelling into their home. The result is a cosy imaculately clean home from home, after a day of exploring Durham and Newcastle it was a real pleasure to return home to the apartment and relax. Dont look anywhere else, this place is a gem.

Everything was perfect.

Everything in the apartment was top quality , the location was perfect . We loved the sitting out area over the river . All the extras were brilliant and really appreciated , the welcome pack , the gorgeous fluffy bathrobes. We had everything we needed , from dishwasher tablets to lovely toiletries. The apartment sparkled , it was so clean . The owners were really friendly with great communication throughout . A superb apartment !

This is an excellent apartment, very clean, well equipped with a very generous food hamper on arrival. Chris is welcoming and helpful. There is a lift to the private car park.The location is a few minutes from the town and sitting on the terrace watching the birds was lovely. I thoroughly recommend it if you are able-bodied.

If you have limited mobility, be aware that this apartment has two floors with bedrooms and bathrooms up a long flight of stairs, which was a major problem for us.This isn't in the description and it would be really helpful if it could be added to avoid the same problem for others.

Everything was well laid out and perfectly explained by Chris. The location to die for.

We arrived quite late so the wow moment came the next morning when we awoke. Opening the curtains and seeing the view of the river so close, coupled with the bridge and the old town on the other side of the river was magical.

Central location. Perfect for city centre but also at a prime riverside site. Lovely to sit on the terrace watching the rowers go by. Extremely welcoming hosts. Apartment decor beautiful throughout with every amenity you could wish for. Really useful welcome pack containing all the essentials.

Having to leave!!

Chris the host met us on arrival and gave us a quick tour of the property and instructions on how to use the facilities such as how to turn on the heating if required and he gave us a really good overview of how to navigate Durham, where to hire boats and recommended places to eat which was great . Thanks Chris :)

Nothing, even the weather was great!

Very comfortable apartment with everything you could possibly need. Beautiful outlook onto trees and river. All appliances top quality. Really grest welcome pack of breakfast items and wine. Central location, so easy access to city, but not noisy

I genuinely don't think there was anything we didn't like. 10/10 would stay again and would recommend

Literally nothing - if pushed I would have liked a hook on the back of the bathroom door and the bedroom but it was pretty perfect

The flat is obviously loved by the owners and is taken good care of. This makes a lot of difference and big thumbs up to Chris and Wendy!
