A quiet room for a restful night above the city. Loved the roomy bathroom and being able to take a bath or shower. The comfort of the room. arriving late and leaving before breakfast it was great to have tea AND biscuits in my room, Prompt reception response and service provision when I realised the TV remote batteries must have run down. Comfortable mattress! Easy access to train station by foot, though I should have allowed 20 minutes plus to actually get into the station and onto the right platform!
The pillows were very firm and unyielding and gave me a stiff neck. A slight annoyance that no-one checks that the TV remote batteries have power. It takes longer than stated to walk to the station with your luggage on wheels factored in

Breakfast was good, with selection of fruits, juices, hot meal, egg options, and various coffees/teas. Only comment would be that an option of wholemeal artisan bread would be appreciated (not just standard factory wholemeal bread). Customers using toaster for croissants, (despite warning notice not to) causing extreme smoke / burning smells, and luckily there was no fire Check in at reception was a little chaotic, with large group of Africans with lots of screaming children leaving. Male reception staff all appeared to be dishevelled, and dressed scruffily, as opposed to the smartly dressed female reception staff. This did not give a good first impression of the hotel. Parking payment machine is not user friendly, with insufficient information on payment and retrieving receipt slip Confusion over pricing as did not see any pricing information, and reception provided contradictory information on charges. Parking was safe and secure. Hotel just a 5 minute walk to town centre
Lack of accessible towel rail in shower room. Only rail was above toilet, so high, partner could not reach it/use it

Booked late on Friday for same day arrival, and requested a fridge due to medication, on arrival was in the room and was provided with shower as requested. Bed, would have preferred a little bigger but extremely comfortable, experienced a really nice sleep, bedding was clean. Breakfast, paid in the morning (£10.00) per person, lots of choice in cold and hot beverages, nice selection of continental and pastries, hot breakfast was nice very well cooked and good value for money. Had room service each night meal was good, average costing, was limited choice but service was very good and arrived within a good time span. Bathroom nice with shampoo and conditioner and body wash, both nice to use, and room was equips with hairdryer. Would have liked to have more towel in room but was ok ( funny about towels, personal choice) Would have liked to have seen the tea/coffee area refilled each day, good selection. There is a vending machine near the lift, only takes coins. Only grip is the car parking fee, would be expensive if staying for more than a few days, cost us £60.00 in total, however, I am a blue badge holder there are parking near the lift, but not a lot. Will be rebooking again when next visit
Nothing really

Very friendly and helpful staff, in each department. A great Yorkshire welcome! Handy location for the station and riverside. Bit noisy from the road with the windows open but that's what you get in a city centre? And at least we could open the windows for fresh air - I'd rather that than a sealed room with noisy air-conditioning! Good range of self-service breakfast items with attentive staff replenishing the stocks and clearing used crockery from tables.
No body lotion in the bathroom. Too few towels for the 3 people booked, but the request for more was very swiftly met.

The staff were amazing. I had booked after midnight the night I wanted to stay on booking.com that changed my booking to the next night so when I got to the hotel it had booked me in for the next day. The staff let me change the night and upgraded me as there were no rooms left in the hotel at the lower level. I have been to this hotel before as it has fantastic underground and secure parking and very comfortable beds.
I got to bed at about 2am I was woken by the very loud drilling of the renovations taking place the next morning luckily they did not start drilling till 9am but it was so loud. Also the chambermaid knocked on my door to see if I needed a room changeover and when I answered it in my bare feet, I must’ve caught a nail where the carpet meets the rail at the door of my room and cut my foot. I spent the rest of my time trying not to bleed on to the carpet. It is two days later while I write this and it still hurts.

This hotel was a great. I did have some problems with the gps taking me to the back (main road) - but, once I found the carpark and front of the motel accessed from the side street it all made sense. The staff here in the motel and the restaurant were all really nice & nothing was a problem - the restaurant food was good and on par with any other establishment, and I can recommended the Cauliflower Soup if it is on the menu when you stay. Upside to the location is the great little pub with live music around the corner - if you stay here you must check out The Grove Inn ...

Beautifully decorated and a lovely aroma around the hotel. Very well presented and high end with great attention to detail. Very clean, well maintained and looked after - definitely a great hotel.
The lift was broke and it was my sister’s wedding, this made getting up and down difficult for day 1 but thankfully it was resolved by afternoon on day 2 which was fantastic and really helped the wedding. The staff however were incredibly accommodating and helpful, they cannot be faulted morning was too big of an ask all weekend and the amount of times we needed support for those that couldn’t take the stairs was a lot - they handled it very well!

The position was great for a function at New Craven Hall. Good signage, lit up at night to help find hotel. The breakfast was very good with an extensive choice suiting adults and children. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating not making an issue of the fact that we had a baby to stay in our room which had not been expected. Provided a cot and high chair with no problems. The ambience was classy and the bar area great for light lunch, a quick evening meal and drinks.
The bed mattress was solid and the pillows hard. When I asked for softer pillows I discovered that they were in a cupboard labelled spare towels, but even the softer ones were harder than I expected. As the main reason for staying was to get a good night's sleep this was an issue. The lighting in the room was poor for dressing up and makeup etc for a wedding.

For starters anywhere that offers fried bread as a breakfast option is going to get a 10/10 from me!!! This added to an already excellent breakfast in a nice room. The hotel was easy to find, it was clean and reception staff were great. Our room was bigger than we had expected and again, clean & tidy.
This is a city centre location - JUST! A little bit more out of the way than what it appears on the map. (But there is a great pub about 100 yards away called The Grove which has live music)

Hotel is a great location, no more than a 10/15min walk to the shops in the centre, and a 10min Uber ride to Greek street with all the bars on. Big room and big bed, I slept fine but my partner didn’t like the pillows, shower was powerful.
Parking at £14.95 per night is steep, I found an NCP on Wellington street for £3.95 for 24hrs on a weekend, it’s a 20min a walk away but worth it for the price difference. TV could do with an upgrade, and some room decor features are a little outdated. Be careful with charges, my partner called to reception to ask for 2 wine glasses to be brought up to the room… they said it would be a £4 charge!! So he went down and got them himself 😂 madness!
