Good location, easy to get to. Room was nice and bed was very comfortable.
The lift took ages. After waiting outside for it to check out for 10 minutes we gave up and took the stairs. The queue to check out was very large and slow. We wanted to get the discount on our car parking at the train multi-story but also ended up leaving this as it would have taken so long to get to the reception desk. The aircon controller was difficult to work and the lighting was made up of a series of lamps which were nice at bed time but not very bright for getting ready. Couldn't get the TV to work easily either. On balance though we liked the hotel and our stay.

Large very comfortable bed in a spacious clean room.,with a well equipped bathroom, although due to mobility problems, I had difficultly in accessing the bath, so that I could use the shower. I enjoyed the hot buffet breakfast. There was good choice of tables. Tables were cleared rapidly after use. The staff seemed happy and there were always sufficient numbers.. The hotel has a very impressive entrance. The hotel is adjacent to Leeds City station. There an excellent selection of pubs and bars.within a short walk. I will use this hotel for future visits to Leeds
I found the back ground music at breakfast not overpowering but boring. The high step into the bath

First impressions were fantastic lovely staff amazing decor to the main areas room very nice.
Some areas like stair case seemed a little neglected. We were very disappointed with the breakfast. Seemed short staffed Tables not getting cleared and people queuing to enter for some time. Witnessed used milk jugs being passed between tables and tables only being wiped with a dry cloth. Noisy and very busy. The decor did not match the rest of the hotel. For us to stay here again the standards for breakfast need to catch up with the rest of the hotel

The location is great, very central. Our city view room with a king bed was fabulous. The room was a great size & the bed was really comfy. The public spaces, especially the lobby & bar are beautifully decorated in an art deco style. All the staff we encountered provided excellent service. Breakfast was really good too with a great variety of hot & cold options.
The only thing I wasn't mad about was the room where breakfast is served. It's in the basement & when it's busy it's very loud. Maybe some more soft furnishings & screens could dampen the noise. Other than that there's absolutely nothing I didn't like!

THE BEDS THE BEDS!!
NEED NESPRESSO MACHINES IN BEDROOMS. THEY DO NOT COST MUCH THESE DAYS. AND THEY ARE A HUGE "CROWD PLEASER". IN FACT THE KETTLE AND THE SLEEVES OF NESCAFE ARE SO 80s! (HENCE WHY I MARKED ONE DOWN ON THE FACILITIES). WE ALSO MUST COMMENT ON THE 40 MINUTES IT TOOK TO FIND THE MULTI-STOREY STATION CARPARK. HOTEL DID NOT WARN US OF THE ROADWORKS WHICH ARE JUST IN FRONT AND BLOCK ALL MEANS OF ACCESS. THEY COULD HAVE SENT US A TEMPORARY MAP HOW TO GET TO THE CARPARK, I EVEN PHONED TO ASK WHICH CAR PARK IS BEST TO USE AND THEY SAID THE MULTI-STOREY, BUT FORGOT TO TELL ME THAT ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND THE ACCESS. HAD TO DRIVE ROUND 3 TIMES AND ASK AT A CORNER STORE IN THE END. (HENCE WHY I MARKED ONE DOWN ON COMMUNICATION)

I brought my parents here for a special night away. It was definitely the right choice. The hotel is spectacular and the staff excellent. We had the entire experience, from a few relaxing pre-dinner drinks in a nice nook in the reception area (doing Mum’s favourite pastime of people watching), to an amazing dinner in the restaurant, to a very comfortable night of sleep to a slap up breakfast the morning after. The location is great too. So close to everything in the city centre and the private entrance from the station definitely makes you feel special. My Dad’s in a wheelchair and we had absolutely no accessibility issues at all. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Location is always a plus, no further travelling once reaching the train station and also located right in the heart of the city. Reception staff are polite, friendly and cheerful. The room had everything we needed in it and was clean and neat, The bathroom was sparkling clean and had shower gel and hair products. Breakfast was ample and staff were polite and friendly as always.
Would have preferred a walk in shower rather than having to climb into the bath but this isn't a complaint as I am sure if I had asked for this at time of booking it could have been accommodated.

Beautiful hotel in the Art Deco Style. Staff were very friendly and lovely to chat to. The beds are amazing - fantastic sleep as they were so comfortable. Ate in the restaurant - beautiful space And very classy BUT it sounded like a night club. The music was totally not in keeping with the environment. It was Loud, thudding and awful! The food was just ok and we didn’t have breakfast as leaving early to have breakfast elsewhere anyway. They are doing a refurb of the bar/restaurant - not sure why it will be an Indian restaurant when there are many great ones a stones throw away though. But, I do hope they leave the night club music out of the refurb. I would definitely stay there again - just for the wonderful beds!!!
Loud music in the bar - more akin to a night club than a classy hotel.

Characterful old building; inside and outside. Lobby is a beautifully laid-out and decorated. A lively and comfortable atmosphere to relax, drink tea and generally enjoy watching the world go by. Especially the old fashioned book-shelves and paintings. Also impressed at having option/selection of loose teas. Lighting and decor...spot on. Nice comfortable furnishing. Excellent place to read morning papers, or a book. Oldie-worldy, but with all necessary modcons. A destination in itself, whether or not guesting in hotel. Lively but not rowdy! Lighting in lobby and restaurants perfect not over brigh as in some more modern places. Great combination of art-deko and victoriana, but still with all one could expect in terms of modern comforts and facilities. Much nicer than most modern places.Nice and woody. Hope u never modernise or tart-up the place. The Queens is something well worthy of preserving. Room very well soundproofed. Enjoyed views of outside, without being disturbed by the noise. Food and service in restaurant all rather fine. We're happy customers.
Minor criticism: we did have to request a change of room, as the firedoor directly outside slammed noisily. But management/staff bent over backwards to arrange a transfer. So we're still happy customers. outside first room banged noisily. But to be fair, we were transferred to a quieter spot.

The central location is perfect and easily accessible from the train station. There’s ample pay for parking in the area. The room was small but clean and comfortable, if a little small. Breakfast was buffet style but everything was good quality, piping hot and well cooked, with a varied continental section too. The hotel is beautifully decorated and furnished, and staff are friendly and helpful.
I had difficulty accessing the room and had to return to reception assuming the card was faulty. It transpired the handle was faulty, and there was a ‘knack’ to opening it. (Being…. Give it some welly). They clearly knew this and would have saved inconveniencing the customer had they told me at check in. My friend’s room wasn’t affected, but I endured an annoying noise all night. Sleep was affected by what sounded like a constant water heater/kettling noise. Just avoid room 503.
