Nice location, 5 minutes walk from Kyoto station. We had a budget level room in the first night. The hotel has a really nice Onsen Bath which is included in the room rate. All rooms have individual air condition. Windows to the street have an inside “door” with traditional look, which makes it look like a ryokan room. All amenities are in the bathroom, even water kettle and tea are available at the room.
Budget level room is very tiny. It’s difficult to hang the clothes, no luggage storage. However, the room has the same bathroom as bigger rooms.

So far this is among the biggest room we get during our stay in Japan Very convenient place about 5mins away from JR kyoto station Everything is clean, public bath is big Nearby there is 7 eleven & lawson Best staff services among our stay in Japan Overall is very nice & pleasant stay
Be aware on the tax charges as booking.com juz highlighted i need to pay 150yen per person for hot spring tax, but i ended up paying 1440 yen for the total tax, its ok for me but this is definitely not a + sign

In house onsen was convenient and good. Indoor and outdoor available. There is 100yen leg massage equipment and washing machine in same area too! Central location and 5mins walk from Osaka train station and bus terminal only
Japanese breakfast was good but they change alternate days, 2 kinds only. Became boring after 3 days eating same food

Very clean, very conveniently located in walking distance from the station, eateries, buses. Tastefully designed with lots of thoughtfulness, tranquil. Made good use of the onsen which was a relief after long days of exploring. Very nice, special breakfast was a nice start to the day. Very professional, courteous staff, I will stay here again and highly recommend! The laundry room was small but the machines are efficient.
Honestly can’t complain about anything, had a terrific experience all around. Everyone was so kind. Accidentally locked the safe box and couldn’t remember the correct code, called the front desk and someone came upstairs within two minutes!

Situated near to main railway station, easy walk. This is a very good hotel for a western traveller to get an experience of Japan. Breafast was japanese, and of course very different from what we eat at Europe. But this is the idea of travelling: you see something else, and though I did not always know what I was eating, and started to like it more and more. So in the fifth morning I think this was already part of me. Onsen was an extra, which completed the experience.
Maybe I could say there was sometimes some little noice from the street, but during the nights very calm city, and one can sleep well. Even though your windows are towards the street.

Location was excellent, so close to train station. Staff were great, super helpful & accommodating, nothing was too much to ask. Gave us umbrellas when it was raining, called taxi for us & kept luggage after check out. Beds were so comfortable. Phone charger supplied in room. Onsen was a lovely addition.
The room was quite small making it difficult to open our suitcases. As we only stayed 1 night this wasn’t too big a deal but may be an issue for a longer stay. We booked a twin room

The staff was able to speak English quite well, which was a kindness and very helpful to us. The location was close to Kyoto Station and convenient to restaurants in the area. There was a convenience store close by. The rooms had a small refrigerator. The bathrooms had ample space for two people. There were storage closets we were able to use. Each room had a table and chairs for eating, school work, etc. We used the laundry facilities and found them to be reasonably priced and convenient.
Recycling facilities were only available near the vending machines on certain floors. We wish these had been available on every floor. There was a large school group that arrive on our second day and we had to move rooms to accommodate them. The hotel staff was very apologetic and moved all our bags for us into the new rooms, making it fairly seamless. Still, one of our party members wasn't feeling well and would have preferred to have the room available to sleep that day.

Very near train station and buses. Lots of good local restaurants. Lovely onsens, very quiet and relaxing.
Nowhere near enough spaces for hanging clothes or towels. Only one towel given which you need to use for bathroom and onsen. No extra towels in onsen area. No futon made up in our tatami area each night but maybe this was an extra fee service? Quite steep ÂĄ1000 yen pp extra charge at their very cool bar.

As an interior designer, I was very impressed with the level and quality of the hotel decor. The Japanese style room we selected gave us the feeling of a traditional ryokan while in a more modern hotel environment. The Mineral Onsen was delightful, as was the staff, who were a tremendous help to me in finding my way around and navigating the transportation system. They even booked me a massage in my room on an hours notice and made me an appointment to rent my Geisha Kimono for a day in Gion, which I highly recommend for all female visitors.
The only thing I would have loved was the option of room service. Other than that everything was perfect, and the café downstairs was good for breakfast in a pinch.

No better location for a typical Japanese-style hotel with an onsen facility. It's less than a 5 minute walk from Kyoto station so we had access to all the buses and trains for day trips and getting around the city. During our stay, it also felt as if we were the only American tourists which was refreshing. The tatami rooms were clean and spacious.
