Nice room/overall hotel. The shower was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The bed was uncomfortable, needs more pillows and the mattress kept sliding away from the wall. Not keen on the location, very little on your doorstep.

The hotel was beautiful. Rooms were super clean and cosy! We received a welcome drink when we checked in! The pizzas are fab! Hotel staff couldn’t do enough for us. Our first night we found our room to be a little noisy as our room was right next to the lift and it dinged every time someone got out. I asked for a different room the next morning and the staff were super accommodating. We also asked for extra pillows which were delivered to our room.

We were not aware until checking out that there is a city tax in Hamburg. We had to pay an extra €11.56 for 4 nights in the hotel.

I have stayed at several other hotels at Berliner Tor and The Moxy is by far the best. It’s a great location for heading into Hamburg central or getting to the airport. Berliner Tor area is perhaps a little rough around the edges but I never felt uneasy. I particularly loved the welcoming staff, functional rooms that have everything you might need and the bar/reception area. Welcome cocktail on arrival (either alcoholic or not) went down a treat. Easy check-in and check-out. Wished I had stayed here on earlier stays. The vibe is cool and chic.

I found the bed to be a little too firm for my liking. Only one pillow per guest which was also not ideal - however I didn’t ask for another one, so that’s my fault.

Сlean room, plenty of towels. Shampoo, hair conditioner, shower gel, hand soap in abundance. Good noise isolation, neither the neighbours nor the toilet can be heard. The room has a wall with hooks and hangers, also blackout curtains are a nice addition. It is very convenient that you can leave your luggage in the storage room at the hotel on the day of departure, free of charge. There is also a metro stop on lines S and U nearby. There is also a large space downstairs, with sofas, places to work, board games and a minibar with drinks. I recommend it for the next stop!

Very soft pillows, in my opinion, but this is a subjective opinion, for someone it may be just right. There is construction going on opposite the hotel, but we were in the room only at night, so I don't know if it's audible during the day or not. In any case, it does not depend on the hotel.

It was great! And so, so clean. There was even a free welcome drink the first night. And the staff was so helpful with recommendations about food and activities. And the menu card for food at the hotel was reasonably priced and delicious 👌 The common area was nice. There's a bakery 600 meters from the hotel where the breakfast is really, really cheap compared to the €21 breakfast buffet at the hotel - but other than that, it was a pretty long walk into the city. We used the electric scooters which can be found almost anywhere. And thankfully, their English was great!

Parking was either horrible or terribly expensive. No trashcan in the room or in the bathroom, only recycling - not great whilst on a period or if you just have trash in general.

Fairly new place, room looked good, clear. Very welcoming staff, comfortable bed and facilities, room at a quiet inner court. Not too far from where things are happening in town, a lot of public transport close by

Two evening there we dance evenings where outsiders came and had to pay for, in the lobby. Full, noisy, no space left for the guests to just chill there… what a weird concept. No water cooker in the room or fridge is always missed when staying more nights in a row.

The vibe and atmosphere are incredible!! I cant stop praising the coolness of the hotel reception and bar area. I stayed at Moxy Köln airport before so Im aware of the kink vibe and the coolness and the incredible stylish design but this one is so much better! The breakfast was fulfilling, the staff were so warm, cool, and just the good amount of hospitality that doesnt offend. Also the smell is iconic and the choice of the body washes and conditioners with their popping pink color and very nice quality just added to the experience. They allowed me to leave mu luggage all day after checkout and took care of giving it back to me on my return. I was happy with those days spent there.

The location is just right across a construction site. Inorder to reach the hotel you have to explore the easiest way yourself. If you have some luggage, you will have either to go down and up a ramp with your luggage or, worse, down some huge public staircase, as the hotel somehow is "down". Also Berliner tor station is central yet not the nicest in Hamburg. Also the absence of a kettle, a mini bar and no safety box or a small closet is abit inconvient, given the price point of the hotel, it should come off as more comfortable inside the room.

Great hotel for short or longer stay. The interiors are hip and fun. There's a nice sitting and bar area downstairs. The room itself was compact but had most amenities. I really appreciated how soundproof the rooms were, you could not hear fellow travellers late at night, fortunately. The staff was accommodating and helpful.

The room's closet facilities are limited, so if you bring a lot of clothing you won't have anywhere to put it other than on 4 (?) hangers and the rest in your suitcases. At night, the downstairs area can get crowded and loud as people go there for the bar, so it's harder to work there when needed. The nearby station is currently surrounded by construction, so the way there is longer than normal, and there is some construction noise outside

Spacious rooms, cool design, friendly staff & good options at the bar. Arrived early and was already able to get my room. Lots of different transport options close-by & quick to reach center.

Not a lot of space to put things in the room, but that is a minor thing. No kettle in the room, but there is one you can use down next to the bar - we were only told this on the last day & it‘s a little hidden - would be good to inform beforehand. Currently a little hard to reach on foot due to constructions close-by. The area is more for cars, exhibitions etc. But you are in the center very quickly.

- Unrelated to property but for location for train station, if you lack mobility reconsider staying here if you plan on traversing via train. Only able to exit/enter via big flights of stairs. - Lack of cleanliness in bathroom, shower had pink mould, dirty bottles and hard water stains - Need more coat hangers / option to store clothing
