Great location and beautiful grounds. It was nice to have so many options for restaurants to walk to at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beach area and views are beautiful. The only negatives was the king oceanfront was a little small. The pillows could use an upgrade and were not very comfortable. The seating in the room was also not very comfortable. We were short on things like kleenex, toilet paper, and a bath mat at times. Hot bathroom because there is not an exhaust fan but a window vent. We wanted to get a bigger room but they booked up many months in advance. They do have free surf safe lotion on the beach, ability to fill your water bottle every day at the towel station. Wait staff are available for drinks and snacks on the beach. There is a very pleasant and calm area for snorkeling. Even with some of the dislikes in our room, we were very happy that we stayed at Lions Dive. We loved to beauty of the beaches in Curaçao. The town of Williamstad is lovely and very close by to visit.

Beach is fantastic. Lovely lounge area with shade and loungers, services at both ends of the beach, outstanding swim area behind the breakwater, always clean and well maintained, towels and fresh water always available. Next door mall (Mambo Mall) has many excellent restaurants. Bliss the Berry offers very special healthy breakfasts. Bocas Argentine steak house is first class. Balconies with sea views are brilliant. Top floor is best. Gym is good for weights and floor exercises. We didn't dive on this trip, but we are experienced divers, and the dive operation looked first class.

Room totally lacked decor. Hardly any seating in the room. Gym aerobic equipment was in very poor (unusable) condition. Breakfast was very expensive relative to options available. Room was not good value for money, except for the view...

The hotel's infrastructure and its location are its main highlights. The private beach is one of the most beautiful and serenate I have seen in a hotel of this price range, and the very convenient location provides you great dinning alternatives at Mambo Boulevard, 3 minutes walk away. Also walking distance to the aquarium. Parking was super convenient also.

On the low note, the hotel restaurants are good, but poorly staffed and it takes ages to get proper service. The Hemingway beach bar requires 2 day in advance booking, and once there, it may take 20 minutes for service to come by. The Nemo Japanese restaurant had tasty food, but two servers for 20 tables, and first Japanese restaurant I've ever been without Sake on the menu. All-in-all, the pros way outweight the cons and this is a great accommodation solution to venture Curaçao by car (45 mins drive to the most beautiful beaches like Cas Abao or Kenepa, but usual considering the good alternatives). On another note, the hotel could use some type of kid's club, considering the sheer amount of youngster crowd left to their own devices

Lionsdive is a beautiful resort and is very well situated on the island. Lots to do in the surroundings. My first encounter with Hemingway was at first a unpleasant one. I had a bad experience with a server on the beach (very rude Dutch young man who recently started working there) on Sat. Feb. 15, 2025 which left my quite upset. I have worked for years in the Hospitality Industry in different roles and would never have even thought of treating a guest as badly as this young man treated me. I gave a complaint at the Frontdesk with Sergio who handled it like a charm as he listened to me and connected me immediately with Michenoe (the Restaurant Supervisor on Duty). Michenoe was absolutely wonderful and handled the situation perfectly. In the evening I had dinner here and Didi, my server, was very attentive, she did a great job at providing me with a wonderful experience. Because of the bad experience I had, Michenoe made sure to comp my partner and I 's breakfast on Sun Feb. 16, 2025 where Nina and the rest of the breakfast service team took amazing care of myself and my partner. Thank you Sergio, Michenoe, Didi, Nina & the breakfast service team for turning my bad experience around to a positive one. I will be back for sure. Ms. Chirino.

Server on the beach who was very rude. When I went to get some food he had pushed my beach chair with all my belongings from under a palapa claiming that that was their station even though there was no sign saying that and two of his colleaugues had seen me sit there for 30 minutes already and hadn't said anything. After being rude he turned back to his two colleauges to continue chit chatting while I was left with my hands full with food and my belongings to figure out where else I could find a spot in the shade to sit (the beach was packed). I ended up having to go to my room to eat as there were no more spots to sit comfortably.

Room was spacious and well equipped. Great bathrooms with plenty of hot water. Comfortable beds. Quiet room on the whole. Got a suite with stunning ocean view. Lots of space outside. Good ac in all rooms. Breakfast was great with lots of choices. Lovely to have it outside by the sea. Restaurants are moderately priced and serves the usual mix of international dishes with some local additions. Pizza place was the best imo but wasn't open all nights. Hemingway had the best service and location. Good fish and veggie food. Beach is perfect for families. Shallow. Clean. Clear water. The small beach has some snorkling opportunities but boats pass close by. Beach wasn't crowded, service was good and some beach chairs are reserved for hotel guests. All in all, a perfect stay with lovely touches from the staff such as dressing the room on account of honeymoon that we hadn't announced prior to arrival. Very grateful!

- Everything spotless apart from armchairs that were ready for a deep clean. - Nemo, the asian restaurant, failed to impress sadly. - Club night (1 out of the 4 nights we stayed) at Seascape, is pretty loud, even though it's several properties away from Lions.

I recommend (if suits in your budget) to book one of the appartments, either ocean front or even those located at the swimming pool. They are really spacious and very nice 👍🏻 .

Beach and chair access to the outside (non hotel) guests. On certain days it van become very crowded on the “hotel” beach and less chairs are available to the hotel guests. Be aware that some of the rooms (does not apply to the apartments) have shared balconies. If you do not mind, you’ll be okay, if you value more privacy, book an appartement. We were not aware of the shared balconies, didn’t read this information anywhere on the booking when selecting a room but will definitely book an appartement for our next visit as they offer privacy which we value. Also, we were not a fan of the breakfast buffet at Hemingway’s, we would have appreciated a higher quality a la carte breakfast if that option was available.

Location was great. Nice beach, with a breakwater and some fish to see when snorkeling. 15 min drive to Tugboat Beach which had amazing snorkeling - that was a highlight. Lots of shops/restaurants on Mambo Beach next to hotel. Hotel doesn't currently have a gym, but gave passes to an actual gym located along the Mambo Beach shops, so that is better than usual. Everything was well maintained. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly.

I have no significant complaints about the hotel. Towel replacement was not totally consistent, although the rest of the room cleaning was fine. The restaurants at the hotel were ok, but kinda middle of the road. Didn't have much when we wanted a really nice meal, nor a really simple one. Beer selection was lager, lager or lager. Restaurants along Mambo beach gave a bit more variety, but there were some much nicer ones in the Pietermaai area (less than 10 min drive). The Punda area was really touristy.

Everything was wonderful— the beach, the pools, the views, the food. It is a great spot for little kids too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurants in the area were all tasty and the shuttles to the supermarket or to Willemstad were very convenient. We even participated in the beach boot camp which was awesome!! We loved that the aquarium was right beside the property too! One of the highlights for the kids.

Towels service and clean up could have been better. We often found that our rooms weren’t clean at the end of the day until dinner time and there was a couple of days where we didn’t have towels in our room at all. Willemstad was a a nice day visit but VERY touristy, especially if you are there at the same time as the cruises. The shuttle drops you off from 9-1 but we didn’t find we needed that long so we took a taxi back. It is very safe.

Restaurants where you can eat /drink with your feet in the sand are wonderful! Omelets, grilled cheese, and fruit bowls are available after 9am for half of the buffet breakfast price. Protected beach is fantastic, with okay snorkeling, but water shoes are helpful due to coral. Beach is close to beachfront rooms. Shelters and palm trees helped shade, when necessary. Free transportation to Willemstad in the morning to visit museums, stores, restaurants, and attractions.

I loved this resort. I could easily spend a few weeks there if everything wasn't so expensive. Euro pillows were very plump, giving me a stiff neck. Lack of outdoor sand removal foot washes made not bringing some sand into the room impossible.

Compared to other tourist destinations, Curaçao seemed distinctly non-exploitative. Our servers, tour operators, and taxi drivers were all well educated and comfortable - they mentioned being able to take their own vacations. As an emerging tourist economy moving away from oil, everyone gave the impression they appreciated rather than resented a tourist presence. At LionsDive, the focus on sustainability was cool. From reusables to discouraging waste to solar power to complimentary reef safe sunscreen, it was cool to see them leaning into what it takes to preserve the island. They had a green key certification and everything! Location near the aquarium and shops/restaurants were nice, plus the dive shop on-site. We also felt that the included nature hike/snorkel was a great added value. We also enjoyed the massage from the spa, but it felt a bit pricey.

The restaurants on-site were convenient but just okay in terms of food. I felt like they were trying to offer what tourists expected in terms of variety instead of specializing. There was extremely limited access to anything like a convenience store and NOTHING is open before 7:00, making it hard to get to early adventures on time and fed. I would have brought snacky type breakfast stuff or opted for the room add-on to have groceries delivered if I had known. I left margin in our plans for spontaneity, but things were pretty booked at the resort and other places nearby by the time we got there. While I usually over plan and wish there was more time to see what's fun when I arrive, I would recommend planning in advance here.
