Location and the size of the room. Staff too

The toilet had no door. So it was kind of embarrassing to use it right next to the partner. Plus, toilet was set in a very narrow space. My shoulders couldn’t fit in that space. Really not comfortable.

This hotel is extremely well located in the center of Willemstead, its stylish and well presented. Our delightful deluxe room was located overlooking the central pool courtyard

Some of the rooms (not our one) have a very exposed own entry (like a front door on a street) this might not suit all travellers

If you want to be close to everything here is the place. The location is exceptional, you are so close to the center of the city and to a lot of restaurants and bars. The breakfast was amazing, it's a la carte so you can choose one main and one drink but it's a good amount and the staff from Van Gogh is really friendly! We loved the view from our room. The pools also are very quiet and great. We really loved our stay there.

The cleaning is a bit bad. But don't take it wrong, everything is very clean but if something is on the floor (trash or something) they will leave it there until you tell them. But nothing against them!

This is our favorite hotel of the island, we've been coming here for 8 years now. The rooms have a smill kitchenette which is important to us, because we like to stay home and cook some of the days. The staff is amazing! We were placed in a smaller room than we were used to. After contacting them they immediatly found us a better room and moved our stuff effortlessly. The place is amazing, in the middle of Willemstad, surrounded by a beautiful garden and a small pool. It's very quiet and comfortable. Will go again.

It could be cleaned a bit better. Also there are signs of degrations in the room. But it's all very minor.

I love the location, architecture, interior design and overall aesthetic. I went at their busiest day, which is new years. They warned me in advance that it was going to be crazy and loud due to all the festivities around the hotel. But it was worth it. Also, the rooms were cleaned daily and smelled clean.

Not a complaint oer se, I knew beforehand that it was going to be loud. People were celebrating new years and throwing fireworks outside, we could hear it. But they did warn us and tried to be as accommodating as possible.

The pool area is a charming little jungle. I was surprised at first, that after a check in we needed to go out to the street and follow the receptionist to a building a short walk away from the main one, but that turned out to be not a problem at all - the location and facilities were really nice. We had the room on two floors and there was a lot of space.

Some could be disturbed on Thursdays and Saturdays with the live music from Mondo Bizarro - our room was full of music on those nights, as it‘s in the same building. I liked it, but can imagine can be a surprise, especially for a family with small kids.

Location was excellent! 10 minute walk to the city, multiple eateries on the street behind us, friendly people everywhere, accommodating staff and nice small but relaxing pool. Too many ways to enjoy this spot.

No microwave, chairs and bed were not as comfortable as expected. We understand a renovation is coming so we hope the only 2 issues we had with the place will be addressed

It was a very pleasant experience from start to finish..nice pools but you must be cautious getting in...not suitable for young children...great restaurants in east wallking distance...Ginger is one and it has music on Thursday nights! Easy walk to town and Dushi ...very safe and near wonderful restaurant "James"...great for breakfast..

If they offered a shuttle to the beaches ...

The room, swimming pool and location are exceptional. The atmosphere is special.

1) There were two night guests (cockroaches) and hopefully nobody came with me to my house. 2)!!!!!I was promised a taxi in the early morning to airport (5:45a.m.) but nobody showed up and nobody was available neither by WhatsApp nor by phone at that time. My nightmare came true because I nearly missed my flight. I was really desperate. Luckily one nice guy on the street agreed to drive us to airport.

The Pietermaai Boutique Hotel is located in a residential neighborhood near a charming “backstreet” that is full of life at night with musicians, restaurants and bars and a fun local vibe. This location is perfectly located close enough to downtown and the canal and Emma Bridge that you can easily walk back and forth between them and feel like you see something different on a different street everyday. It feels safe. And its charm is also quite pleasing. The pool area is not resort-huge but it’s quaint and well-maintained and has plenty of seating. The staff was terrific and accommodating, helpful with recommendations and calling us taxi’s.

There appears to only be one room that is on top of others, and unfortunately for us, that room was above us. This being a historic building, the floors are wood and not well insulated…not the hotel’s fault.It’s just something to know beforehand. Also, its bathroom is not entirely private, meaning there is no private stall or door…it’s got a half wall that separates it from the living/sleeping space but the toilet is not enclosed. Just something to be aware of. Fortunately there is a separate bathroom that is located out by the pool that is available for all guests and it seems infrequently used so that helped with privacy.
