I recently had the pleasure of staying at Centara Udon, and I can confidently say it exceeded every expectation. From the moment I stepped into the beautifully designed lobby, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that immediately made me feel at home. The rooms were immaculate, spacious, and thoughtfully furnished with all the comforts a traveler could need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom amenities felt luxurious. I especially appreciated the attention to detail – from the crisp linens to the ambient lighting, everything was designed for relaxation. One of the standout features of the hotel is its central location – everything in Udon Thani is within easy reach, whether you're shopping at Central Plaza (connected to the hotel), exploring local markets, or heading out for sightseeing. Breakfast was a daily highlight. The variety was excellent, blending both Western and Thai cuisine, and the quality of the food was outstanding. The fresh fruit, traditional Thai dishes, and perfectly brewed coffee made every morning something to look forward to. But what truly sets Centara Udon apart is the exceptional service. Every staff member I interacted with – from the front desk and housekeeping to the restaurant team – was kind, professional, and eager to help. They made my stay not just comfortable but memorable.

As for what I didn’t like — there was really nothing out of the ordinary or worth complaining about. Every stay has small imperfections, but nothing stood out or affected the quality of my visit in any negative way. The overall experience was smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable

Location was good,Reception and restaurant staff were a perfect 10 and the breakfast was delicious with great options and variety. Outside security was very rude and unprofessional needs retraining how-to react to arriving customers after a 3 hour bike ride,worst welcome we received anywhere on our travels around isan at many hotels and resorts.The Centara in Korat is perfect how you treat arriving guests this Centara Udon was the complete opposite.Minibar not stocked correctly,Both Key Cards stopped working.Aircon controlls was inconvenient

Check in was quick and easy. Good location, next to central mall. Nice bar on the ground floor. The room itself was specious (we got a suite).Bed was comfortable and Internet was strong. Staff were really lovely

Parking was patchy at best. The hotel shared parking area with central mall and we couldn't get a space when the mall was busy. It was a bit of a trek from the car to reception when we checked in (with our luggage). We've stayed in Cantara hotels in other parts of Thailand. This one didn't quite measure up

A lovely hotel, although it’s older it’s kept you really nice condition and modern. Wonderful staff, nice food and a really nice experience overall.

The check in experience is good. The staff are wonderful, but I’m not sure about the policy of actually taking funds out of your credit card and holding them, you don’t get the money back for a month. So in the meantime I’m getting charged interest on the deposit that they withdrew from my account. I understand why they do hold funds, but most hotels just put a hold on the money, not actually withdraw it from your credit card.

Very friendly and professional staff. Great location next to Central mall and a short walk to various markets and UD Town food court. Convenient parking for hotel guests. Good breakfast. Nice scent when you enter the hotel. Good sauna, herbal steam room and hot & cold jacuzzis in the health club. Comfortable beds and walk-in shower.

Nothing really. The pool was not very inspirational and was deserted, but that is probably due to the weather and it being low season. For the WiFi you have to sign in again every time after leaving the premises or after the night.

Comfort, cleanliness, size, friendliness of the staff. Quality of the breakfast.

Here is a message I sent to the hotel a few days after our stay. Ten days later we have not received a reply. We enjoyed a wonderful stay in your hotel between 16 - 19 November. We were in room 729. The service was excellent. I have a request to make. I have mislaid an envelope with around 4000 baht in it. I do not know if it happened in the hotel or somewhere else. Buffet breakfast was delicious and had a lot of variety but it was a bit expensive. Location was great for being next to the mall which had many shopping options and amazing food court. Came in handy when we needed something last minute and when we had unexpected free time.

Laundry service was very expensive compared to other hotels stayed at, 3-4 times the amount. Also, they had signs in the room about being charged for missing items and I thought that was not tasteful. Perhaps visitors could be informed another way.

My wife was from this area, she died about 14 years ago, so I came back to see the area and to reengage with the things that I love about Thailand.

There’s nothing to dislike about Thailand, it’s a wonderful place and the people, in particular the ones that are not at the tourist areas just reinforce to you how wonderful the people are, engaging and smiling all the time. A wonderful area and beautiful people.

Despite there is permanent chaotic parking situation, staff finds alwaws a solution, to park the car. Breakfast is very rich and valuable. Internet very good. The location is great, close to Central Robinson and close to the night markets of Udon

maybe the problem is more likely caused by booking.com. I booked the Hotel 2 month prior to arrival as "no refundable". I had to pay at booking with my credit card. When I had to pay the additional fee for the cat, the total amount of my stay plus the cat was withdrawn from the credit card. I assumed the amount of the stay had been already drawn when I was booking, therefore I had to trust the frontdesk . I couldn't check my account, since I have an old-fashioned account with only monthly overview of my activities. The amount for one night's stay for a cat ,500 Baht, is far too much. No service for the cat included, even no insurance for possible damages.

Excellent Stay at Centara Udon Thani! We stay at Centara Udon Thani 1-2 times a year, and as always, our experience was outstanding. The hotel offers top-notch service, comfortable and well-maintained rooms, and a perfect location in the city center. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay every time. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a great variety of delicious options. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!
