Clean, parking garage access, more than decent-sized gym and gym equipment. Comfortable bed, and fantastic shower / water pressure. Even the restrooms in the lobby were way above standard.

We thought it was very strange that there was not a single microwave in any of the rooms, lobby, / common areas. I asked the front desk staff, and I was informed that there weren't any microwaves on the property. So, if you were thinking about heating up the leftovers, you could not finish at one of the many great restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. No dice.

A charge put on my credit card by Wilson Anthony , which I had to dispute to have them removed.The entire stay was great until he decided to abuse his authority

Room was excellent. Plenty of desk space for my writing/viewing iPad and placing my peripherals. Everything was clean. Staff mistakenly placed a baby crib in the room while I was out for the day. I notified front desk and the cheerful service staff came within 5 minutes and removed the crib promptly.

I came to D.C. to spend time in the Museums and attractions on the mall. The location is a bit remote and walking to the hotel may take at least 20+ minutes if you don't mind walking. D.C. city blocks are long! The Metro Station I used (Farragut North) is also at least 10+ minutes walking, assuming you have your Google map showing you the way on the first time. Also, bakeries and cafes are also 10-15+ minutes walk away.

The hotel is in a very good location; you can easily walk to the main attractions and interesting places in the city. The staff was very nice, especially the people at the reception and the gentleman who opened the doors. The room was satisfactory, and the bed was comfortable.

The hotel is located near a large roundabout, so if you have a room facing this direction, it can be quite noisy, and the windows don’t seal well enough to block out the sound. The bathroom is very small, and it’s clear that the shower, bathtub, and overall bathroom fixtures are outdated and need to be replaced.

The location was really great proximity to the things I visited. The staff were courteous and helpful whenever I had questions. There was one bellhop in particular who really made my stay more welcoming because he remembered me, always kindly greeted me with a smile and overall was good spirited.

I needed a microwave some days but the property doesn’t have one for guests. It would be nice if the property had a drink and snack machine onsite, if someone cannot get to a convenience store. Also, it would be good to have an informational list in the rooms. Whatever programming is set for the tv is complicated to navigate channels. It doesn’t operate like a traditional cable guide. I also didn’t see the bar area open on the days it was supposed to be but I asked and was told there was another bar area open by the restaurant area. Lastly, it would be helpful for guests to know if there is a secured space to place luggage if arriving before check-in, as a courtesy.

My husband and I were there visiting the city to site-see. We enjoyed the ease of finding the hotel. The parking of our car in a gated area was great. The location of the hotel was in walking distance of all the attractions we were wanting to see. The staff was super friendly and the food was fantastic. We ate breakfast and dinner and it was wonderful. The bed was comfortable as well especially after walking all day it was nice having a restful and peaceful sleep.

The pricing to park our car could have been cheaper I think but then again can you really put a price on security! I would say that any higher on parking might have discouraged us from staying here.

Outdated furniture

I don't travel into Washington, DC often. I had to make a trip due to a family emergency. The Washington Plaza Hotel was affordable and relatively close to the hospital. The room was comfortable, the parking was convenient, however a bit steep in price. I was pleased with my stay, despite the reason for the stay. The staff was very pleasant.

The parking price was expensive, at $43/night. There was also a $50, refundable "deposit" added at the time of check-in. I was not expecting that charge, as it was not listed in the hotel description. Having that information ahead of time can alleviate any surprises.

The staff was super helpful and it was a great location for my daughter and I could get around easy. The pool was a great amenity for my kiddo as well. It was super close to every means of public transport (subway, bus, taxi) which made our travels so much easier and way more fun. also, a very short 10 minute walking distance away from us was a beautiful state of the art playground, which was awesome for an in between activity when my kiddo and I just needed a break.

It was difficult to get food without leaving the hotel. We were told we could order from the restaurant but it was closed because it was a weekend. Thank goodness for door dash and we found something. The rooms were very very small and the bathroom was almost non existent, but we made it work. I did find it odd that no where in this hotel I could find a microwave anywhere and the coffe machine was located in the bathroom.

The staff was above and beyond! Very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The restaurant and front desk staff especially. The location is good, and walkable to all the sights. Food at the restaurant was excellent.

The property and rooms are a little outdated and our room was small. We were only there two nights so room size was not too bad but if you want to stay longer it might feel a little cramped. Room service was also not available during our stay and the property did not have any vending machines so we had to walk to nearest store for a soda.
