When I say this exceeded my expectations that’s because I had reasonable expectations! The room was nice, shower so roomy and clean/new, staff very obliging. The first night was quiet, the second we could hear the planes but maybe that’s related to wind direction etc. plus the fact that our body clocks were out which made sleep harder. Beds very comfortable. We liked the free water with fruits in it, teas and coffee available downstairs any time. The quite basic breakfast had some fresh fruits and the oats were delicious (the cereals were far too sugary for human consumption imho 😂). The omelette/scrambled egg and tomato was nice. They used disposable plates and utensils for safety and maybe to avoid extra cleaning! Free shuttle was great. Nice drivers.

We weren’t terribly keen in the disposable stuff but it was ok.

We were visiting family in the area, but our flight out in the morning was super early and we didn’t want them to have to bundle up the kids to drive us to the airport, so we stayed here for the night before our flight. Front desk person was pleasant and professional. Room was clean and comfortable. There was coffee in the lobby when we checked in which was very much appreciated! There was a small store by the front desk that had a small selection of emergency sun dries and snacks. There’s a Jack in the Box that shares the parking lot so we were able to walk over and get a quick bite. There were a few homeless looking individuals hanging around the parking lot, but we still felt safe. Booking the shuttle for the morning was easy and the shuttle driver was super nice. We had to leave before breakfast, but they had some to go bags on the counter so we could at least get something to hold us. I’d definitely stay there again.

Very clean and comfortable room, tasty American breakfast, good location close to the airport, 80% satisfied.

I had waited almost 30 min. until someone (who works at the airport) told me that I would need to the call the hotel to book a shuttle. I waited another 20 min. then. The hotel should inform guests in advance that it is necessary to call them after the arrival! I saw shuttles of other hotels arriving automatically twice per hour with or without guests. In addition, the shuttle drivers were unfriendly.

Breakfast and location were great. Very clean room, lovely comfortable bed. Staff were kind and helpful. Plenty of fast food nearby.

Pick up by the shuttle took an hour after calling, I probably didn't get enough information initially when I called about what the shuttle looked like and exactly where it would pick us up. This information should be easier to find, on booking.com perhaps? After a long flight we were exhausted and by the time we had to change terminals to get picked up it was all a little difficult.

We had an overnight layover in Houston, this was the perfect place to stay and make it to our flight at 9am the next day. Clean, spacious room, bathroom seemed recently renovated, decent breakfast, even has a gym on site and free shuttle to/from airport. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There are some places to eat nearby (mainly fast food); we were pretty tired and decided to order through food delivery app. Would stay again if we need a place near the airport.

The room we got felt slightly damp/stuffy. We were not too bothered though as we were staying for only one night.

I am so happy with my room. Big, Spacious and Near the airport. The FREE SHUTTLE was the main reason I booked this hotel. Breakfast was also very nice. I also enjoyed their Ice Machine where I can get anytime of the day.

I later realized that we need to call the hotel if you are already in the airport for pick up. I thought it was just there all the time waiting for guests.

Very convenient to the airport. We spent a night and got a shuttle back to the airport the next morning to catch a shuttle to our cruise out of Galveston. Hotel is very safe feeling, staff is very nice, rooms are very comfortable and they have a nice breakfast. The guys that drive the airport shuttle are very pleasant.

I don’t have anything negative to say about this hotel.

Was met at the airport by tatiana thomas who had a big smile and was extremely nice . It was crowded at the pick up area and my flight had been delayed. Her smile and kindness completely brightened my day !! Was so grateful !! Her cousin Terry Thomas took me to the airport for second part of my trip .like his cousin he was also very nice and kind . The other staff at the property were also kind and helpful and my stay was very nice . Don’t remember anyone else’s name or would compliment them . Everyone was great !!!!

Wish there was a restaurant on site but was a close walk to get food

The location near the airport was great. Breakfast from 6am to 10am was fabulous. Good variety hot and cold, and very clean facilities. Coffee available all day was spot on. Bus route 104 outside to go into city. Return bus stop just the otherside. $1.25 each way. Restaurant at Doubletree 3 minute walk was great value and drink prices not too bad. Can't get head around the tipping and taxes on everything. Should be inclusive. Would I stay again? Definitely.

The air conditioning system in room was very noisy. Sleeping pill took care of that the following night. Otherwise, I can't complain .

The location close to the airport is the best thing and the shuttle back to the airport.

Even though the hotel is 7 minutes from the airport the taxis run on a fixed fee and the is no shuttle at midnight. So $30 for 7 minutes ride. That’s more of a complaint with the taxi companies but something to consider.
