The proximity to downtown was convenient, the check in and out process was smooth, and the room itself was clean and quiet. Would stay here again!
The neighborhood doesn't have a great "feel" if you're not from the area i.e. if I were a lone female at night I'd probably not love it. I'm a "suit and tie for work" guy and when stopping into the Kroger one block away I was 100% NOT the local demographic which made me feel like I could get robbed in the parking lot. This could be completely off from "what the locals know" but perception is reality and I'll definitely not be walking around the local area in a suit.

Location, ease of check in, complimentary laundry facilities, spacious room, comfy bed, pretty clean and the room had a kitchenette. the bathroom was also fairly large and had a fantastic vanity mirror. I liked that the access to the room was coded, super easy to get access.
No sheer curtains on the ground floor, so couldn’t open windows to let daylight in (I could have but you could see straight into the room, which I didn’t like); stagnant smell in the bathroom; an alarm that went off on 2 of my 3 nights at the hotel; and the super bright time on the microwave. All little things in comparison to the positives about the room. My room was on the ground floor, so had direct access to the street - as a solo traveller, I didn’t like this as it made me feel a little unsafe BUT if not travelling alone I think it would have been good. the amount of emails that come through, if I was only staying at 1 x hotel on my trip wouldn’t be so bad; but I’m travelling for 6 weeks and the emails are constant - I was worried I was going to miss something important.

Entering the building from the street was confusing. The front door was locked but once I realized it was the mobile key, it was smooth sailing. There were a few homeless people right at the front door so the approach was a little scary.
Location. It is located in a weird part of town, there are lots of homeless. We were scared to park on the street but our car was fine. We also had to pay to park which seems like it’s defeating the purpose… most hotels offer free parking for the same price we paid to stay here.

I enjoyed having the little efficiency apt. type room a lot, but the lack of parking was a bummer. With 3 vacant lots right there by the building you would think some sort of parking lot or space would be available. Using Lyft to go to Broadway is still a better choice than driving & their prices were great going there but they are higher coming back which isn't what I'm used to. But beyond that the Sounder was a great place to stay. We didn't actually see the staff be we did see cleaning carts so we knew they were there come check out time.
I didn't like the checkout app. When I went to use it I typed in that we'd be leaving at 11am but it decided to tell me that check was now at 10:30am the time I was filling it out it out at. And I didn't want to be charged for a late check out. I feel like the rushing caused me to throw a couple things away I meant to pack because I couldn't find them at my next stop in Memphis & was rather upset about losing at least one of them & having to go shopping again.

The entire building was SO clean and the lobby was spacious and full of natural light, so I could step out of our room and work peacefully. The building was a convenient location (walking distance) to a Kroger and an excellent restaurant, as well downtown Nashville (not really walking distance 😉). I'm actually looking at other Sonder facilities to stay in because I was so impressed by this one. Free washer and dryer with detergent provided was a top tier amenity, IMO. I also spoke with an agent through the Sonder app to see about upgrading to a 2 bedroom the day of check-in, and the agent was fast and extremely helpful.
This isn't anything against Sonder, it's just a human factor to take in... But our first night was a rough sleep due to someone having a dog that I'm guessing they left alone in the room (this is a no pets allowed facility) and the dog barked for hours. There isn't a front desk clerk or anything like a typical hotel, so it was just a thing to deal with. Also, the upstairs neighbors sounded like they were playing hot potato with a microwave and were actively testing the load rating of the floor/ceiling.

Our room was large and very clean. Brooklyn Bowl is a 12 min walk(safe)and places along the way to eat. Assembly Food Hall on Broadway is fabulous. 22 min walk not too bad, just one stretch across railroad. The Morton/shops/distillery is about a 20 min walk, but I do not recommend walking to it. Overpass and lots of homeless people on the route. Quick Lyft 5min $6. The farmer's market down the road was an ok walk about 10 min. Food and small shops, cute.
Someone forgot to set up the Roku TV. I could not watch anything and didn't want to deal with someone to fix it.

It was all very tidy and a slick system if all goes to plan. The property was very clean, offered almost everything I personally need, the property is secure, and the neighborhood is quiet. That's all I require.
Couldn't get the television to work. Some kind of vending machine would have been nice to have. I was very lucky that there was still a manager on duty when I broke my phone because otherwise I would not have been able to reenter my room. I understand the whole business model is to run with absolute minimum staff, but it would be unacceptable to have no one on hand to handle guest emergencies.

It was simple - clean, elegant, comfy. At about half the price of similar options! Remarkably quiet, actually. The room felt more like a Scandinavian minimalist style apartment and less like a hotel room. It had everything you need, smartly but simply arranged. The self-serve nature of the stay was awesome - you use the app for everything. No interacting with staff. The smart tv let me stream Netflix, Hulu, etc. that parts kinda genius. It let’s you sign into your accounts, but automatically wipes everything and resets after you leave. I’m a convert.
Honestly can’t complain. A honeymoon sweet it is not, obviously. Got the job done and made the trip more economical.

It had pretty much everything you needed to make food and plenty of dishes and silverware. Very convenient.
I stayed all week long and it just didn’t seem to ever have enough bath towels or hand towels in the common area where the supplies are kept. No paper towels for the room. I had to purchase my own but that wasn’t really a big deal because we have a grocery store right next door.

Nice, cozy unit with a good shower. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is surprisingly well stocked-cookware included! The area is a good one, just in the development phase so it doesn't look upscale. Close to downtown Nashville but not in the middle of the chaos. Overall a great little studio for a single traveler or a couple, maybe even a small family for a short period. Excellent value!
It could have been more thoroughly cleaned and there were a couple ants, but it wasn't what I would call dirty. The walls are thin and that was the biggest drawback for me.
