Good location. Flat, easy walk into town and all the sights and eating places. Bright, good size bedroom and a bath as well as shower in the bathroom. Good choice of breakfast foods: Cereal, fruit or a range of traditional English cooked breakfast foods. Helpful staff. Mostly quiet road especially at night when sleeping.

Our room was upstairs so if you have a problem with stairs request downstairs room. Just a little niggle that our towels were not replaced on our second to last day. Dirty ones were put back on the towel rail for some reason and our mugs weren’t washed (perhaps a busy day?).

A short walk to city centre and railway station. Clean room and a decent shower. Slept well, had no issues and would stay here again. Check in was flexible. Staff let’s you mind your own business isn’t overly chatty which suited me fine.

Not sure if staff understood what vegan breakfast meant as I always specified I only want things that are vegan and still always had milk and butter by default. Also got a veggie sausage every morning dispite never requesting for it. Obviously not a major issue but I don’t like to waste food which is why it would be better to follow the customer’s request.

We stayed in the Family room which was spacious enough with a double bed and two single beds. All very comfortable. It was extremely quiet at night with a view to the back of the property. The location was perfect, a 15mins walk from the town centre (York Minster etc). It was all very clean, modern bathroom, 2 towels provided per person. Parking is available on the street just outside of the bed and breakfast (arrange with B&B to ensure it is paid for). This allowed us to just leave the car and do everything by foot. Worth mentioning that there is a lovely restaurant nearby - The Churchill Hotel with an amazing outside space. We tested it for a late evening drink (did not try their food, they did pizza mainly in their pizza oven). Many food choices in town. Breakfast was fast and with a choice of cooked options or simply cereals / fruit/ yogurt (menu card to be filled in and left at the entrance which sped up service. A great stay.

The location was lovely, a quiet road off the main road with a mixture of guesthouse and residential properties. The guest house was an old building with period features and the breakfast was fantastic. I didn’t see the owners much but when I did they were welcoming and quite friendly. The guesthouse is only a 10-12 minute walk to the main area of York with the shops and attractions accessible and within walking distance of each other.

My room was a little small. It was a single bedroom but others I’ve stayed in have been much larger. Everything else was great.

Stayed for 2 nights with 12 year old son. Very welcoming and hospitable hosts. Beautiful, comfortable and clean room. Easy breakfast ordering system and lovely choice of breakfast food. Hosts were happy for my son to eat his own food (he has a special diet). Extra towels were kindly provided on request. Perfect location -off the main road so very peaceful at night, but also conveniently only a short walk to the main attractions. Highly recommend this B&B!

There was absolutely nothing that we found fault with.

Great location, and I’ve stayed there before. Lovely and quiet street, but near enough for a stroll into the centre of York. Both the rooms I’ve stayed in, this time a family room and previously a double are a great size and the shower and toilet are impeccably clean. Great breakfast to start the morning off too. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Simple checking in and checking out procedure. I will definitely hope to get a room here again when I next visit York.

It was hot in York and there were no fans at the property. Very minor negative to be honest.

I had damaged my knees and a ground floor room was needed. The room was very big, bed nice and comfy, tea and coffee making facilities was waiting for us, the curtains big blackout one and reduced any noise from outside, what little of it anyway! not far from the centre of York, we just left the car and walked everywhere! it was ace we went a couple of weeks into the new year and it was very quite no queuing for everything, apart from betty's cafe, but we just wasn't interested in that!

not a lot really! everything was in walking distance, food was ace! nothing to complain about really! if push came to shove the towels was a bit small but we got by!

Speed of check in. The room was very clean. Efficiently produced breakfast. Shower worked. Not many stairs to climb. The house was in good decorative order. They allowed me to leave luggage in their breakfast room before I checked out. Pleasant staff. Very close to one of the most popular areas of York.

Although clean, it was a very small room. I suppose I’m not very sociable so don’t like breakfast rooms where I feel I’m being gawped at by other couples especially as I always travel solo. There could have been more choice on the menu such as different fruit juices, poached egg or boiled egg and hash browns. I’m sure most people would be satisfied with their breakfast and the speed of the service. Very small bins in the room - could have been larger.

The breakfast was amazing, fried egg to perfection! The bed was so comfortable, slept so well! The link to internet worked so well. A "single room" can often have limited facilities, this room did not lack in anyway.

A very basic smart phone, so needed to ask more directions to the Guesthouse from others when I got lost! A map included in acectance email would have been helpful

Very nice B&B on outskirts of York centre and a nice easy 10 minute walk to the Minster area. Good breakfast and nice room if a little small, but singe rooms usually are ! No one on arrival at check in but key and car parking instructions were easy to use/follow In a nice area where the football ground used to be and near to pubs and restaurants and a Sainsburys just up the main road. Easy on street car parking £5 per day and hosts organise via York council so you can leave the car and walk into the centre which was great

No complaints but maybe : Fresh fruit at breakfast Car parking arrangements explained prior to arrival rather than worrying what to do when you get there. A text or email after booking to explain would be a nice touch.
