So much to talk about. The hotel was beautiful and located centrally. Loads of parking and easy to find. We were able to visit friends nearby in Arbroath and local attractions. Train station nearby so didn’t have to drive everywhere. Clean comfortable room which was a large size and met all of our needs. The bed was extremely comfy and had loads of space. The restaurant was great and the meal was reasonably priced and great quality. The best part of the visit was the entire team. Friendly, customer focused and just an absolute pleasure. Irene and the team were FANTASTIC! Nothing was too much to ask for and they were all genuinely welcoming and made the stay so personal. A great stay for a weekend and we will definitely return to stay again in the future. Could not recommend this hotel enough, thank you Links Hotel for your hospitality.
Nothing, it was a great stay

Room was beautifully clean, spacious, bed was lovely, bathroom was very clean, very well laid out, tv was clean and a good sized screen. Layout of the hotel was very well thought out, although more than one accessible room should be offered, the one you had was booked for the duration of our stay. Over all the staff were lovely and professional, the cleaning ladies were phenomenal, the whole hotel was clean and fresh looking. A very nice stay in a lovely hotel, just look past the tired outdoor decor.
The outside of the property looked like it had been poorly maintained, paint was cracking and looked dirty. Breakfast was dry and tasted like it had sat for 2 hours under a hot plate. The waitress was rushed off her feet. The shower head was covered in limescale, all problems that could have been easily fixed. We didn’t stay in the restaurant for our evening meal as the prices were extortionate, and going by the quality of the breakfast, we decided to stay clear.

The staff were lovely, very friendly and very accommodating of our dogs. It made the stay much more relaxed. There was loads of hot water and our room was quiet, tucked away out of the way so we didn't need to worry about the dogs disturbing people. The car park made transport very convenient, not having to research in advance where to leave the car.
The water from the tap in the bathroom was brown initially but after some googling, it seems this can be normal for older buildings in this part of Scotland. We reran the bath after 15mins and it was fine the second time. Perhaps a card to explain this would be helpful, so you don't get a surprise?

We received a very warm welcome at check-in and throughout our weekend stay (as did our dog Duke), the whole staff were very friendly and always willing to chat. The room was excellent, very clean and tidy, plenty room, comfortable beds, loads of luggage space, excellent facilities and toiletries. The food in the restaurant was excellent and beautifully presented and good value for money. The breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. The hotel itself is very well presented with a fantastic stairway to the rooms, everything was warm, spotless clean and fantastic furnishings and decor throughout. The location is in a very quiet area but very close to the main street and only a short walk to the beach. Overall a 10/10 hotel and we will definitely return.

I know the area so I know the location of the hotel , ideal for myself visiting friends and family
Everything was fine , staff ,location and room. My only gripe would be that okay they maybe don’t use a single room very often , but the cobwebs hanging from the ceiling above the bed were a bit off putting so I just didn’t look up high. Also the silver hose on the shower was leaking at both ends , at the shower head end and also at the wall outlet. I’m sure just a new silver hose or some washers could fix this. The room itself was clean, catered for all my needs and was very much appreciated

The welcome from staff more than made up for what is essentially a well used 'business' hotel. An old building but well refurbished and spacious rooms in modern extension. Dining and bar areas very busy with happy locals who made you feel welcome, not strangers out of place. Exceptional dining staff spoiled us to bits when they discovered it was our special anniversary, and a very good dinner lived up to its AA star rating.
The town of Montrose which is a sad remnant of its fascinating history.

Very clean room and great breakfast. Despite a storm outside the room was quiet and we slept well. Car park seemed full but there were no problems parking. There was a bar but we did not use it and we did not eat there at night so no comments on these aspects (but all looked nice)
Our room was in a separate annexe and getting from the restaurant to the room was less than pleasant in the storm. A short covered walkway would help.

Staff were so friendly and helpful especially Irene on reception, room lovley, one of those regal era type hotels but with all lovely ammenities. Staff really helped in the dining room as I had a short time to eat dinner and breakfast was fab. Really good place for centre of town or wandering down to the water front. Close to the catherdral and town centre.

The staff here are very friendly and remember regular guests faces. I stay here for work and they make me feel very special. The food is also amazing especially breakfast.
The bathroom could have been abit cleaner as there was a random garden pea on the floor… and a foot prints on the floor tiles. Nothing major though.
