It’s in a prime location to Paddington Station which is why we chose it. Breakfast was very good for a continental. The room was very small for three adults, but that wasn’t a huge issue and it’s just the nature of staying in central London. It was a quiet location. It was very clean.
They don’t do bag storage for more than two bags. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything. It’s an older building so this is difficult to manage so it’s not entirely their fault. We were told on checkout that we could request a ‘quiet area’ next time. The 5th floor hallway is very narrow which was difficult to manage with large bags and there are lots of split levels with stairs. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have mobility issues. Their lower floors may be different though. The lifts were also tiny! The lift to the 5th floor was 2 people max, so we either had to do two trips, or use the other one to the 4th floor (which was a little bigger) and walk the rest of the way.

In a great location, feel safe walking around at night. Close to the tube and Paddington station. Very clean and all the staff were so lovely and very helpful.
The rooms were a little small but I expected that due to the type of building

Royal Eagle Hotel was located in the quiet and beautiful neighborhood of Paddington, close to Hyde park and to a very central underground station. We loved the location, the staff was friendly and helpful, especially the sweet lady that helped us with our breakfast. Breakfast costed only 9£ and it was worth it. Our room was a double in the basement which seemed a bit claustrophobic at first, but the daily cleaning of the room made it better. There is some room for improvement (walls had cracks and tab was clogged) but it was really clean so it made up for everything. We would definitely recommend it to friends and we will visit it again.
It was in the basement, window did not open because the bed was located right next to it, the window was wooden framed and it gave the impression that someone could open it from outside because it was kind of loose and on ground level with one other room but it was not a huge problem (imagine that we were two girls alone living there for five days so safety was our utmost priority).

If you plan on going to London, definite recommendation for this hotel. It's not the cheapest option out there, but it damn well is good value for your money. Location of the hotel is wonderful. Staff was excellent, caring and very friendly. Beautiful interior. Single room is very small, but that's to be expected, perfect for a solo traveller. They offer a cold breakfast, so don't expect to have a full English. I loved my time there, I have nothing to complain, only wishing I could've stayed longer in London.
Didn't bother me, but if you're a light sleeper, I would recommend earplugs, especially the single rooms can get a bit noisy with the outside road noice, even though it is on a pretty quiet street all things considered.

The location and the cleanliness of the hotel. The friendliness of the staff and the choice of pastries available for the continental breakfast. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean - this is fabulous and the main hotel areas were also spotless! Well done to the Housekeeping team!!!
The room was very compact. I was a single occupant in a double room which suited me fine but if my husband had been with me - we would have been falling over each other due to lack of space. Also the pillows are very soft ( not my personal preference) but I didn't ask for replacement ones. Not all the lights worked in the room - one side of the lights behind the headboard were not working.

Location and stuff :) The hotel is located in a perfect location, everything of “must see in London” is so easy to reach from this area. The hotel is only a 4/5 minute walk from the metro station Paddington which is perfectly connected to the city centre. ( 25-30min to Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street, Camden market, etc. ) And almost forgot, you can walk to Hyde Park from the hotel in just 10 minutes :) And in the end, the staff is so friendly and always ready to help you. ( * if you choose the breakfast service from the hotel which is quite good you can have a great meal for money that you wouldn’t be able to cover if you’re eating out somewhere because the prices are quite high )
Functionality of rooms. The bed is very short, to the extent that our legs were hanging off them ( we are 170cm tall ) and the loose in the bathroom is quite impractical because it is very small and it is not possible to wash without splashing everything.

The hotel is very conveniently located, just a short walk away from Paddington Station. The area is nice and not too loud. The rooms, the hotel reception and the breakfast room are very clean. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. No cooked English breakfast but a good continental breakfast with lots of choice. Good value for money in London. We slept very well and would definitely stay there again.
One of our rooms was very small and situated directly opposite the two lifts, no ideal location in terms of noise. The single-glazed sash windows also let noise from the street in, but the curtains helped a bit against this, and the street was rather quiet at night. This is typical for London and is to be expected in a period building with original features, so no big complaint about it!

The staff were extremely welcoming when we arrived and so lovely to chat with. The hotel is situated in a fantastic location. Not even a 5 minute walk from Paddington Station which has access to the underground and train services. There’s lots of restaurants and pubs around so you won’t be short on options to eat out. The hotel does offer a continental breakfast but we ate out most mornings on our way out. The room was great, super clean and perfect for us. A tv with a good few channel options and also a tea/coffee station. Overall, I would recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to just sleep and chill out in the evening if you plan on exploring London for most of the day.
The only issue (completely minor) that we had was the room is small but not uncomfortably small. You can hear the underground if you are on the ground floor, but that wasn’t really an issue for us. Also, we were situated in a room looking out onto the street so we could hear a lot of the traffic and people passing by but thankfully we didn’t lose out on sleep. Also, the beds are quite small, that was the only real issue I had.

Breakfast was on a Continental basis. With different breads and pastries, selection of meets and cheese. Very functional.

Great location for us to see concert at Hyde Park. A short walk from Paddington Station and lots of pubs/bars nearby. Really helpful and friendly staff. Clean room and clean bathroom. I’d stay again.
Very small room. Would’ve liked to have had a hairdryer, bigger tv and more sockets. Had to move dressing table to get to sockets to charge our phones. Could hear lots of noise from surrounding rooms, not because other guests were particularly noisy just poor sound proofing. If I stayed again I would look to upgrade and not pay for breakfast as there were so many places to eat at nearby.
