Beautiful old building with very interesting history. Feature working lift from 100 years ago.Massively wide staircase.Appealing hotel entrance.
Unfortunately it was not as clean as it should have been .Dirty window in bedroom and dust all over the place.I have added photos of the same.

We arrived pre check in. Told lift was out of order and offered 3rd floor room. Explained that due to recently diagnosed health issue this was not suitable. Immediately offered an alternative room on a lower floor. Very impressed with this solution to an issue we had not previously considered. Thank you so much!
The only thing that was disappointing was that we couldn't afford a second night...

The aesthetic of the building was gorgeous, and the lift was beautiful - not so much if you're in a rush. The location was brilliant, we love staying on Bath Street and the parking was so handy. Friendly staff who are very accommodating. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but heard it was delicious so will try it next time we stay. It was a bit more expensive than we would normally pay in a place we are staying, it may be worth offering a discount upon arrival.
The room we stayed in could use a little TLC, we did mention a couple of areas on the way out, hopefully be looked into and repaired. Improvements can only be made if the staff are informed which we try to do wherever we stay - not as a criticism, just recommendations to make the stay better

Gorgeous building , perfectly located for all major city centre attractions, lovely breakfast. Staff are attentive and so accommodating. Beds were unbelievably comfortable. My daughter wants to know where to buy the mattress from.
Corridors had an overpowering smell of cigarette smoke, which filtered into bedroom and meant the room had a slight tinge of smoke that didn't leave even though the window was open the whole time. The outdoor window was open when we arrived and we had no one of closing this although we could close the sliding door. This meant the room was quite cool, and the shutters rattled in the night and there was some outdoor noise from the street in the early hours. Didn't mention these things as it was the middle of the night we we only stayed one night so not a huge issue for us.

Staff went out of their way as I had to amend my booking. They also took a parcel for some one to collect whilst I was out. All very helpful and pleasant.
Room was cold and noisy. I had pneumonia which did not help and could not work out how to alter the temperature. I was right next to the heating/airconditioning equipment on the roof which kept me awake. However, comfy bed, plenty of hot water and a load of tablets kept me going and would not stop me booking again. I was moved to that room as I had originally booked for two people and was alone so my fault.

We loved everything! Stunning building with a great history, very close to the centre of town. Lovely staff and a great breakfast. On arrival, check in was seamless despite some complications with my stay logistics - I had booked for work for one night and leisure for another two so wanted to make sure I was in the same room for the duration. The receptionists were very helpful with this. They also helped me switch rooms as the first one had a broken window. They also gave us great advice on our last day about seeing Loch Lomond. The breakfast was a rarity - a la carte! A range of dishes on the menu and all seemed to be very tasty, with attentive service too.
It felt a little tired, maybe in need of a refresh, but it’s not that bad really - it’s forgivable when you consider how old the building is!

very clean good comfortable bed value for money breakfast was very nice and the dining room was very clean
no kettle in the bedroom or free tea/coffee only products which had to be paid for and as an elderly lady on my own i couldn't get the tops of the water to unscrew. i think water should be available free of charge. the dining room was freezing they had problems with the heating but still wasn't sorted on my second morning. the lift is picturesque but too heavy and cumbersome for an elderly person to manage although the very nice receptionist lu helped me when asked..

This hotel made my trip even wonderful. When it comes to travelling in Scotland, People always said Glasgow is not as good as Edinburgh. However, I completely changed my point of view after staying in this hotel. The location is sweet (a 8-10mins walk from train station) and there are a lot of cute little live band bar nearby!!! The lady at the reception knew it was my first time in Glasgow so nice was she that recommend all the sightseeings that are worth going! Like the food, the cathedral etc. And they were soooo good. Love the elevator so cute cuz u need to close the door by yourself!! The room is comfy, big and kinda give me a mysterious vibe;) would come back again!!

The building itself is already an experience - such a fabulous piece of history. The old timey elevator makes you feel like you're in a movie. We found very helpful, kind staff who helped us with a late check in. The room itself is on the smaller side but perfectly fine, well decorated and welcoming. There is a level of care in every detail in the room and bathroom, from the toiletry set to tea and biscuits.
Our only grievance would be with the mattress and pillows, all too soft for our liking.

Our room was beutifully decorated. The breakfast was exceptionally good because it offered some different, unusual options. Staff were very helpful. We were given a complimentary coffee on our return from dinner out which we appreciated. The hotel is very close to the main street, A Gideons bible in the bedside drawer,
Our room was looking out onto the central well where the ducting system was located This was a bit noisy and if you wanted fresh air it made it even louder. We did manage to sleep though.
