This property was great for providing a nice place to sleep as well as prep meals. It’s quite accessible via walking or tram to the old city, and was a quiet place in a safe part of town. It’s also located next to a stunning church and wonderful park with lovely footpaths! Additionally, we had a small fiasco with forgetting our passports at our room, and Julia (the front desk attendant) was absolutely phenomenal in helping get them to us. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we acquired them prior to our return home.

It would be nice to have access to a gym / recreation room, but that is my only slightly negative note.

We got a big room on the ground floor with a big poster bed - fabulous! No problems with the bay window facing the street which was quite enough to have peaceful night sleep. Carpeted floor, stucco molding and a beautiful fireplace behind the bed curtains. The neighborhood is a site for a few foreign general consulates, hence safe. Tesco and Sainsburys are at a walkable distance. The personnel allowed earlier check-in and was very friendly and helpful with pieces of advice. Very clean and well equipped kitchen; a bathroom spacious enough to feel comfortable. The room was cleaned on a daily basis, incl. changing of towels

It would be handy to have some extra plates, cutlery and glassware. A sharp eye would spot stains on sofa upholstering so some cleaning would complete a fresh polished look of the place.

Close to the Haymarket station and to the city centre. Cleanness. Although there was no a breakfast option, a kitchenette with tea and (instant) coffee making facilities is available Friendly receptionists, we were able to check in already at about 2 pm.

Many-many steps to the rooms on the top floor - it was ok for us even with pretty heavy luggage, but only since we are quite sporty No pubs or restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel It was pretty hot in the room when we arrived, but opening the windows solved the problem, although the street got quite noisy in the morning. A fan is also provided, but no AC.

We had a very pleasant stay at Palmerston Suites. The check-in process was smooth, and we were warmly welcomed by Rumana, who manages the property. The room was well-equipped with a small kitchen containing everything needed for quick meals, a TV, a comfortable bed, and excellent heating, which made our stay very cozy. We want to highlight Rumana’s exceptional readiness and service. On January 24th, during our check-out, our flight was canceled due to Storm Eowyn. We were left with no accommodation options elsewhere or even in the hotel. Rumana went above and beyond, showing incredible kindness and humanity. She immediately reassured us, told us to stay as long as we needed, and swiftly arranged the extension of our stay. We are eternally grateful to Rumana, as her quick actions may have saved us during this severe storm. Thank you for everything!

Room spacious. Was warm which was excellent as it was freezing outside. Location great for a visitor. Easy links to bus, tram and rail. Within Walking distance to places of interest.

A second lamp on the other bedside table would have desirable. The main lights were very bright but the alternative, one bedside lamp made reading a strain. A check on whether the safe could be used should have been done . Someone hadn’t left it open for the next occupant. However, as I really didn’t need it I didn’t ask for it to be sorted out but another guest may have required use of it. Lack of lift could be a drawback but I was familiar with the type of property and managed. I was on the 2nd floor.

Great value for money. My room was very spacious. There was an area with a sofa and coffee table, large tv with Netflix and Amazon Prime, very comfortable bed, and wardrobes with hangers, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The bathroom had shower gel and shampoo, and the kitchen was stocked with microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and a hob. There was basic cutlery and crockery inc pans, and a small supply of tea / coffee as well as washing up liquid. I was there as a solo traveller and it was perfect. I was able to leave my bag at reception until it was time to check in. (Reception is only open between 10am - 6pm) It was a 20 minute walk to Princes St, and about 5-10 minutes from Deans Village. Would definitely stay again!

There is no lift and my room was on the 4th floor. This wasn’t a problem for me as i only had an overnight bag, however if have a lot of luggage - be prepared. The shower was a little confusing. At first it kept going cold after a few minutes. There were lots of buttons and it looked quite techy, so instructions would have been great.

The rooms are lovely, as the main entrance, exactly like the picture. Inside the rooms, there were a complete kitchen, as well as a confortável bad, a good bathroom. A largue screen also. About the location, it is close to the museum of conan Doyle and the church St Mary. I walked my way to Princess Street always , it was about 10 minutes pm foot until the train and touristic atractions of old Town.

No breakfast. There is no one on the reception to make the check in after 6 pm, eventough they provide great instructions on how to do the self check in. I can only imagine how a lady could feel, id gerring there late, since there are some places close by that are a bit dark at night…

It was really very useful to have a kitchen on my trip. The equipment was everything necessary and only just enough, so we didn't create heaps of washing up! The bed was comfortable and the room temperature fine. The room had signs of wear-and-tear but it was as clean as it could be without renewing the furnishings or redecorating. I realised from the reviews that my standard room would not be "luxury" by most people's standards, but it was very convenient and comfortable.

Although our kitchen was spacious, and bathroom perfectly fine, the bed area was a little cramped as the suite was in an awkward corner of the basement. I really didn't mind, but if space and "luxury" are important to you I expect the higher rate rooms are in the more conventional parts of this historic building and worth the extra money.

Check in was easy even as a late check in. Room was clean and comfortable and serviced each day. kitchenette had all the essentials. Rooms were a good size and the bed was very comfortable.

A couple of fixtures and fittings looked a bit worn out but nothing that really bothered me. A fraying net curtain and curtain tie back etc. There was a flickering light in the bathroom which was a bit annoying and I couldn't get the shower head to stay in it's holder when switched on the pressure pushed it out and sprayed water all over the floor.l so I had to just hold it while showering. Hot and cold was difficult to balance.

The room was huge, with a big four-poster bed and two small couches. It’s a lovely old building and didn’t originally have a bathroom or kitchen in the room but both have been built in. I asked for a ground floor room if possible because I’ve been having trouble with stairs lately and luckily there was a cancellation and they were able to accommodate me. The room looked out on the street but it’s a quiet area so that wasn’t an issue.

The sink tap was a bit wobbly in the kitchen and the shower was very small.
