Staff, food, value for money and cleanliness.

Only issue was breakfast, short staffed and a lot of patrons were getting angry waiting. We had to ask twice while we were sitting waiting to get our order taken. It needs an extra bit of management.

Fantastic location within easy walking distance of the centre and attractions. Great restaurant SAGA just around the corner. The hotel is located on a leafy suburban street so very peaceful and quiet. The complimentary toiletries were of good quality and replenished daily, as was the tea, coffee and biscuits. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The room we stayed in was a great size, as was the bathroom so plenty of room for 3 people sharing. The overall furnishings and facilities are slightly dated and could do with an upgrade, particularly the shower which lacked power and would have made washing hair for example very difficult. Also the water through the taps was often not hot, just tepid. There was a radiator in the bedroom under the window which we couldn't turn off.

The staff at the Malone were so friendly and welcoming and truly made our stay. The staff at reception were exceptional and a special mention to Becky whose pleasant, cheerful and helpful manner are such an asset to the hotel. And Tony who served us our breakfast and looked after us so well in such a kind and friendly manner, the Malone are lucky to have you on staff. And the food was great!!

My only complaint is there was too few electrical sockets in the bedroom and it was difficult to keep all our devices charged up. But I understand the rooms we were in are being upgraded soon so I'd recommend a few extra wall sockets be put in.

The room we stayed in was very spacious. It had a small fridge, a safe deposit box,a hand-held steam iron, and a coffee machine .The bathroom was good-sized walking in a shower (not a bath with a shower curtain that sticks to you ), the room was very clean , and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was had,a l large section. Excellent breakfast.A large car park in the back of the hotel, no need to take the car into the city centre, bus were on the Lisburn road which took you to the city centre, ten minutes ride, one of the best hotels we stayed in definitely would recommend this hotel. It will be our number one choice when we visit Belfast in the near future

The Malone is in a beautiful location within walking distance to so many things, pubs, restaurants, shops, all kinds of wonderful places! The hotel is simply beautiful and the staff are so nice! The car park in the back is very large and very convenient! If you don't have a car you can walk to the town center or an Uber is only around $8. The beds are comfy, the pillows are comfy, and it has a restaurant, and a pub and Breakfast! You can't go wrong! I highly recommend this hotel! They even upgraded us for our 20 year anniversary! Just a great place!

Great size of room, good location, good value for money, free parking! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Also there were free bathrobes (to use not take haha) and the bathroom water pressure was great. Breakfast staff were wonderful. Beds were comfortable and heating on point. Pillows were just the right size for me but my tall friend found them a bit flat for her long neck (this is not the hotel's problem however, best pillows ever imo).

They were obviously doing some refurbishment so there was drilling and door banging next to our room. We had to wake up early anyway so it wasn't too bad but if you're a late riser or a light sleeper you should know that.

The hotel lobby and bar are absolutely lovely! The young northern Irish man at reception was extremely welcoming, very good for front of house. The room was fantastic, quiet, and comfortable, and the bed was huge and comfortable. All items in the room were nice and clean. The toiletries were plentiful, nice hot shower and fluffy towels. We had a drink or two in the Greyhound pub, which is attached to the reception, it was reasonably priced, and a great pind of guiness. We had breakfast the following morning it was self-service, buffet style breakfast with fresh eggs and beans, and the continental breakfast was lovely to.

There wasn't anything we came across that we didn't like at all.

Requested quiet room, it was quiet, clean and comfortable. We arrived early and the receptionist done his best and got us checked in earlier, didn't catch his name. Breakfast chef was very pleasant and friendly, freshly made pancake was delicious

Attitude of receptionist when I rang down to order food in the evening, asked could she remind me of lobby menu, she said she didn't have one. I said what sure it's on the reception desk, we read it earlier. she snapped I'm the only one on reception and I don't have time to look, and hung up.. When I went down and asked a barman for the lobby menu he said oh that menu doesn't exist anymore...we had viewed it at reception whilst waiting on check in. I'm 32+ weeks pregnant and had to carry the heavy tray of bar food to the lift and to my room, 3 members of staff walked past me and no one offered to take it for me.

The location absolutely can’t be beat. My friend and I wanted to be able to see some of Belfast, and while we are walkers, we didn’t want to have to walk 2 km just to get anything. The street the Malone is on is a residential street of beautiful homes, and is just about 3 blocks from the botanic gardens, 4 blocks from Queens University and Methodist University, and the beginning of a great shopping district. I was looking for a room with 2 twin beds, which are sometimes difficult to find. The beds are really comfortable, the linens very nice, and the bathroom and toiletries are excellent. I needed parking, and they have on-site, free parking. The included breakfast was very good, though we are not hearty eaters.

The only thing that posed a bit of a challenge is the lack of electrical outlet(s) by the bed. Our voltage converters have a 3’ long cord, so we were able to string just enough length to plug in CPAP machines, which both of us use. I would have liked to have plugged my phone in to charge next to my bed so when my alarm went off I didn’t have to get out of bed to silence it.
