The staff were very friendly and attentive. We felt very safe there as a family. Some people have made comments that the breakfast was limited. Everyday there was different fruit and it was lovely and fresh. A short walk to Thewet pier to get the boat along the river, otherwise you need a taxi/ tuk tuk to get anywhere although these are really cheap. Our room overlooked the pool and was lovely and clean and spacious.
Nothing really. This is a small boutique hotel so do not expect the facilities of a large corporate event, but this is the charm of this hotel. In my opinion the daybeds around the pool need new cushions.

This hotel is in a great location near Thewet Pier, which made travelling around Bangkok by boat a fun and scenic experience. The room was comfortable and well-designed, and we also made good use of the gym, which was a peaceful and well-equipped space. The real highlight, though, was the small but tranquil pool set in the hotel’s beautiful garden—it felt like a hidden oasis right in the middle of a full-on, energetic city. A lovely place to retreat to after a day of exploring. We’d happily stay again.
On our final morning, our serene breakfast was somewhat disturbed by a loud English family who barrelled into the dining room with the grace of Swift’s Yahoos—bickering over pancakes, sloshing juice, and generally treating the room like a Butlin’s buffet on free cider night. It was a relief to make our exit shortly after, leaving them mid-toast debate. Sometimes, travel reminds you not just where you are, but where you’re glad you’re not.

The hotel is a lovely, historic property that was once home to the royal governess. The staff are polite and kind, and check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. I had been looking forward to staying here for a while, and I’m happy I finally got the chance. The location is well-thought-out—set back just enough from the main road to be surprisingly quiet at night. There’s also plenty of parking space.
Since the building is a wooden house, sound travels easily between rooms. This isn’t our first time staying in places like this (I personally prefer historical buildings over newer modern designs), so we understand it comes with certain quirks. Unfortunately, our neighbors weren’t very considerate—mistakenly opening our door upon arrival (without apologizing), stomping in the corridors and on the stairs late at night, and slamming doors when they returned at 3 a.m. While this isn’t the hotel’s fault, I mention it here as a reminder to future guests: please be mindful of noise, especially in such a classic, charming place.

The hotel has an amazing garden and pool area. It is so serene and peaceful. It makes a contrast to the crowds and hecticness of the city. The breakfast has great choices and food is really so tasty. The hotel is small enough to feel relaxed without the expansiveness of corporate hotel. However, it doesn’t offer what you will expect in a corporate luxury hotel. But I think the overall atmosphere, the food and the attentive staff overcompensate for that. I would also highly recommend the message therapist. Prices are higher that most places but to really do pay for what you get, which is quality of service.

This is a green hotel that has a very beautiful garden with different types of wildlife in the center of the city - this feature is great and helps you escape from urban life. Congratulations to those who designed and maintain it - please keep nurturing biodiversity. The hotel has a pleasing design overall. The hotel staff (reception and restaurant) are very pleasant and helpful. The food in the restaurant is quite good (for dinner). Although they are both small, the workout room and pool are also very nice.
The rooms on the main street are a bit noisy sometimes (street traffic). Not too bad, but noticeable sometimes. In the building on the street, there is no elevator to carry suitcases up and down stairs, though staff will assist you if you ask.

The Raweekanlaya was exactly the kind of hotel I was always looking for. I absolutely loved my stay there. It is small enough to give your stay a personal touch, yet big enough to function well. I loved, loved, loved the garden, which is an oasis of tranquility. The pool has just the right size to allow for a bit of swimming and the water is well temperatured - just perfect. The room was quiet, clean and wonderfully furnished. It had a lovely atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. The bathroom had the perfect size. Everything was clean and the shower was hot. Something not every hotel had, unfortunately ;-). Breakfast was delicious - with lots of options for an European or Asian meal. Later in the day I had a coconut by the pool which was also fresh and delightful. In the afternoon I had a hand and foot massage - which was wonderful and one of the best I've had so far. The staff was friendly and always helpful. All in all it was a pure delight to stay in this hotel and I will be back for sure.

Stayed 5 nights in the Governess Suite on 3rd floor (no lift) - so good for getting your steps up each day. Set in Colonial style building with lush grounds. Large comfortable bed and spacious sitting area. The breakfast service was personable with small range of choices that changed daily. We loved ending our day in the pool, which we mostly had to ourselves. Accommodation located within walking distance to the river ferry terminal.
Our room facing road appeared to be double glazed, but street noise still apparent - noise started early evening and didn't ease until early hours of the morning. Some parts of the room needed attention - air conditioner leaked, stains on walls and paint peeling. No biggie, but no bar service due to the "wellness" tag and proximity to a local school (although noted that while we were there, functions with alcohol were catered for on site).

Breakfast was such an amazing selection of Thai dishes, we wish we could've stayed longer to do more than just taste them. The chicken and rice porridge was so unusual for us but we hope to try replicate it when we get back to Scotland because it was so flavourful
We have stayed here before, and we booked again because we were so blown away by all that was so great about The Raweekanlaya Hotel. The staff again were so welcoming and wonderful, we, my wife and I together would go so far as to say they were such a tribute to all the Thai people we had the privilege to come into contact throughout our visit to this wonderful country.

It’s absolutely beautiful. You are welcomed as soon as you arrive and the outside area is so lovely with water features, trees, plenty of seating areas and a pool area with sun beds. Our room was very clean and perfect size for me and my mum to share. We were given new towels and our rooms made up daily as well as new water bottles every day too. There’s a little street market just outside the hotel each evening too.
My only slight criticism is that it’s around 20mins to the city centre by car so each time we needed to get somewhere we had to order a bolt. But saying that bolts are very cheap and the hotel is so lovely, it’s worth the £2 to get into the city.

We loved our stay! The hotel is quite central in Bangkok, yet in a very calm spot. Rambutri and Khao San Road are just within 20 minute walking distance (3 min. with tuk-tuk) and there is a 7-eleven near the hotel which is very convenient. The hotel is very clean and the staff was really friendly and always keen to help. Also breakfast was good with many different choices. Perfect hotel for a comfortable stay if you want a bit more comfort than a hostel.
Nothing in particular. If i have to say one thing, than maybe that the vieuw of the room was not so romantic, since we looked out on the roof with a dozen airconditionings intstalled on it. But since we didn't book a hotel in Thailand to look out of the window all day, that was no problem
