We stayed for 6 nights. Our room was an ocean view room with a nice deck for sitting. It was large and very clean. The breakfast that was included was great. There was a lot of choice every day (cereals, yogurt, 3 different breads, pancakes or french toast, butter cake, egg station, thai curry and rice, sausage, ham and bacon, beans, fruits, veggies, cheese). It is located on a beautiful stretch of Lamai Beach. The beach was kept clean (which was not the case with all of the hotels along the beach). There were loungers by the beach in the shade and also at the pool. There are not a lot of them compared to the size of the hotel though. If you want a lounger on the beach in high season you had better have your towel on one of them by 7:30 am or you will be out of luck. There were also beanbags which were very comfortable as well if you wanted to do a bit of time in the sun. We are beach people rather than pool people, but we had a couple of swims in the pool in the evening. It was warm with a nice sitting edge but not located beachfront if that is important to you. There were 2 covered tables by the pool that can seat a large group of friends to socialize or play cards in the evening. We had fruit shakes, beer and lunch some days at the hotel restaurant. We were conveniently located to all restaurants, bars and the night market. It was easy to get a taxi or songthaew to go somewhere else if you wanted. Other services you could use from the hotel were taxi, rental car/scooter, tours and laundry. We used the laundry service twice and laundry was back within the day.

The chairs on the the deck were VERY uncomfortable. They are wooden chairs with completely upright seat backs, so we did not sit out there as we usually would after the beach but before dinner. There were some broken items (planter, beach chair) being stored in a corner on along the walkway connecting the hotel to the beach. Removing these things is an easy way to make it look cleaner. More beach loungers would make getting one much easier.

Given the price point there’s not much to complain about

The staff were so incredibly friendly...especially the dining manager Khong.. .the breakfast was fresh and varied...the location was excellent...staff kept the beach clean of sea debris and leaves...there was tons of shade if desired...water pressure was strong...rooms were clean and comfortable...I could go on!

Guests would go to the beach early in the morning and claim the beach beds by putting down a towel or bag...then leave the loungers empty for literally hours! It would be fair to have a system to discourage this...though this is no fault of the hotel!

Perfect location right on Beach and short stroll up lane to road with bars, restaurants and shops etc. Excellent breakfast selection with egg station, selection of fruits, toast, jams, cake and yoghurts. Coffee and hot water replenished constantly. Staff excellent, very friendly and helpful, in particular Kong (not sure if spelling correct) but he was so cheerful and we all had daily laughs with him especially regarding the weather!

Not enough sunbeds for guest capacity but appreciate this can be quite difficult with limited space

Nice little bungalow with a balcony right next to the beach. The bungalow isn't luxurious but it's comfortable and has everything you need. Food from the restaurant is good and reasonably priced. Plenty of space to sit on the beach and the shops and bars are five minutes walk away

Jet ski next door could be quite noisy in the morning

We arrived in time for Thailand's New Year celebrations which featured lots of warer! Great fun. This is a great location, with very easy, safe beach access. Tide change was minimal. The swimming pool was an oasis if you don't like beach and sand. Beach towels were provided. Very good restaurant food, well priced. Breakfast was included in our accommodation price. The menu offered was extensive. It's very quiet at night, which meant we could fully unwind. Staff were very friendly.

We had 1 x Double bed and 1 single bed. Could have done without the single bed, and then have easy access to both sides of the bed. Having insufficient power points is very limiting. We needed an extension cord to be able to connect a medical device. Luckily, we were able to connect our own power boards to facilitate a connection. Internet in the room was unavailable.jet skis are very popular, but noisy!!! The resort is a little 'tired' but the staff maintain a clean environment.

The hotel corresponds its description and we loved our stay. We liked the location, the direct access to the beach, breakfast facing the sea, the large room with a wonderful view, the comfort of the beds and the helpfulness of the staff. We also appreciated the services: taxi, scooter renting and laundry. They make everything easy and comfortable.

The breakfast, particularly the sweet part, was simple and not of good quality. The big problem of this stay was the deckchairs in front of the beach. People left their towels early in the morning to block the deckchairs without necessarily using them. We spent most of our stay on the sand with our towels because no deckchairs were 'free'. The hotel should have introduced a system because unfortunately some people are really selfish.

Lamai Coconut Beach Resort's location was perfect. It was near to all restaurants, shops and night market but hotel area was peaceful and quiet. Garden bungalow's were beautiful. They were quite small and I don't recommend to have extra bed in bungalow. Bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was versatile, both europian and thai food. Beach was amazing, I think maybe the best part of Lamai Beach. Staff was amazing. Everyone was smiling all the time and made us feeling welcomed. Restaurant had really good thai food, one of the best green curry, laarb and chicken with carlig and pepper in Lamai. My daughter had her birthday during our stay and they made us special arrangements to celebrate with beautifully laid table and flowers.

Bungalow were quite small to have extra bed.

I stayed with my husband and my parents - we were visiting Samui for the first time. The staff are absolutely fantastic and I cannot rate their service enough. The pool is clean and a good size. The restaurant is open and airy and very close to the beach. It’s quiet and peaceful, and you can walk to the Main Street in just a few minutes. There are jet ski rentals available on the beach. The food is very good, though I would not recommend the pizza. We loved the happy hour offers!

The wooden bungalow rooms are quite small and cramped. The gaps in the floorboards meant that mosquitos could come in which was not great, and we got bitten a lot! Perhaps a room in the main building would have been a better choice.

We stayed in the bungalows and they were right near the beach in a perfect location, with. 100m walk to the main road which was bustling with activity. Nice little porch to sit on as well and plenty of day beds and bean bags on the beach. There is a fire show just a short walk down the beach which was excellent.

The bungalows were a bit tired and dated but totally acceptable for a 3 star resort. They are quite small but again satisfactory. Note: The beach photos we took aren’t reflective of how beautiful this beach normally is. There was bad weather before our arrival so it was a bit rough and eroded whilst we were there.
