Room was upgraded to apartment-style - incl washing machine & min-kitchen. Very comfortable including the bed - and spacious . We also used the onsen. Very good Japanese and western breakfast. Breakfast room manager was very friendly and helpful. Staff everywhere were also friendly and helpful. One of the reception staff even came to our room to help with the washing machine as all the instructions were in Japanese. Hotel is a little distance from the centre - around 900 m flat walk - but there are frequent buses and also a tram takes you most of the way. Many choices to eat in interesting and reasonably-priced Japanese restaurants within a walk including in back streets.

We stayed in a junior suite and it was super spacious for 4 people with a kitchenette, dining area and washing machine. The view overlooking the ocean was spectacular, especially from the bathroom. The hotel was clean. They don't provide daily room service but provides clean towel, robes and water bottle refills everyday. The customer service is also fabulous, with staff greeting you from the moment you get out of the car at the front entrance, to the reception staff and dining staff. Apart from the amazing views from the suite, the other highlight has to be the buffet breakfast. The variety is amazing especially if you are a seafood lover. However it can get very busy in the morning so either go super early or just after 8.30. The hotel also has a mini mart and kids gaming area. I didn't go to the onsen as it's always busy but it appears to be a popular choice for guests.
Parking can be painful, the hotel has 5 parking lots and they can all get very full. The hotel is slightly outdated from the outside and some of the lifts are a bit old. Location is a bit of walk to main part of town but a non issue given walking is the norm in Japan. The futon beds needs a bit more padding.

The hotel has an Onsen (hot bath) in the basement, which hotel guests can use free of charge (seperate male and female area). The breakfast is a buffet type with sashimi, different fish types, hot and cold plates, miso soup, bread, rice, ... very good breakfast, which I had booked together with the hotel. Location is good within walking distance to a supermarket, convenience store, restaurants and tram.
Parking fee of 500 Yen is acceptable, but I do not know how they check who paid and who did not as I did not get any receipt for parking. Not a problem of the hotel, but the 1 Mio. USD view of Hakodate is not that special (good marketing). They say that they do not change towels every day, but they do as well as the pajamas you can use to run around the hotel.

Hotel Global View Hakodate offers a great breakfast selection and a relaxing onsen, making it a comfortable stay for travelers. The food quality and variety were impressive, while the onsen provided a soothing experience after a long day of sightseeing. However, the room I stayed in did not have air conditioning, and during my stay, it only had a heater. Unfortunately, the window was jammed and couldn’t be opened, making the room feel like a sauna. Thankfully, the hotel quickly resolved the issue, ensuring a more comfortable experience afterward. Despite the initial inconvenience, the hotel’s responsiveness and amenities contributed to an overall pleasant stay
Guests who prefer adjustable room temperatures should check room features beforehand,

The room is considered quite spacious, I requested ocean view and they are very kind to provide us according to my request. Location is quite strategic, not far from JR station. we rented a car so its not an issue for us. Parking lots is limited eventhough we have to pay for the parking fee every night. The staff directed us the other parking lot opposite when the front parking is full.
the free WIFI is sucks. it is an open WIFI without password, everyone can just use it hence its super slow and doesnt work at all. We had problem using their washing machine in our room. the common paid laundry dryer is at downstair.

Great location between beach and station, on a street with a lot of food options. Great breakfast, maybe the best breakfast we had in a hotel, especially the fish options (of course). Very friendly staff, speaking English. The rooms are quite big for Japan and super clean. The hotel has also an onsen, offers Japanese massage, has a laundry (super useful) and a play-area for kids.
The fact that many tourists were using the pajamas offered by the hotel during the breakfast. And also the noisiness of some of them, I felt really sorry for the staff having such customers.

It was very spacious which is (unfortunately) a rarity in Japan. It actually allowed us space to store our luggages properly without tripping over like a hazard. The hotel observes eco cleaning so you don't have full room service every day. But it gives you an option to change your towels daily and clear your garbage. Staff were pleasant and most had basic English to be able to communicate with you. Having an onsen onsite was a plus, allowing you to relax and wind down after a long day. NB: 900m distance from JR Hakodate station.

-Basically an apartment room, huge space -Kitchenette is well equipped with kitchenware, electric hob, big fridge -Combo oven also provided though difficult to operate in other mode than microwave as it's only in Japanese -Washing machine available in the shower room is a huge plus which is weird that they don't advertise more
-TV located in weird corner of the room -There is a bit of a cigarette smell left in the shower room, and the air filter machine can't get rid of it all. -Not enough parking spots, we had to go to the 3rd parking lot located at the next block which cost the same as the closer ones

Friendly staff, nice room, and public bath, decent location as well.
There was a full day where the public bath was unavailable and no alternative was offered. The breakfast buffet was changing daily which is not bad in itself but we felt that there was quite the difference in the quality of it during our three nights there, with two of the mornings not being too interesting food-wise.

The room was comfortable. There was a kitchen and a laundry machine in each room. There is a big carpark for hotel guest to use and if that is full, there are another 2 more carpark nearby that can be used as well. The breakfast is superb. Must try. Every morning offers fresh sashimi don, ten don and kani don. Well worth the value. The onsen was good as well. A bit crowded but none the less comfortable. Walkable distance to the busy streets.
The check-in experience was less than ideal. The person that checked us in (a young man) was very rude to us. I understand it is hard to use English to communicate and we offered for him to speak Japanese to us as my husband understand Japanese. He was still very rude afterwards. It is not about the language barrier but the attitude he is showing. He is by far the rudest staff I have seen in the whole of Hokkaido. Disappointing. The next time round we were served by Sato, and he was very friendly. The kiosk downstair only sell very simple items.
