The situation of the hotel and accompanying views is superb. The staff were all very amenable and friendly. Nothing was any trouble to them. The room was spacious with a spectacular view. All amenities you could ask for. Breakfast was plentiful, good quality and nicely cooked. We had evening meal there a few times during the week and it was excellent. Great choice great food, well cooked and good value. Also a well stocked and comfortable bar with great sea views. Ample parking was available all week and although in a quiet location is within easy reach of Cardigan and main routes out. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The only thing I didn't like was having to go home !!!!!

Large car park. Lovely room with great bathroom, large walk in shower plus large modern bath. Towels and bedding all fresh and clean. Our Executive room had two chairs to sit and enjoy the view from the bay windows. These bay windows had blinds and curtains for those who like darkness when sleeping. Very nice lounge to relax and have a drink or a chat with the staff who were very friendly and helpful. Finally the breakfast, lots of choice, cereal, yoghurts, fruits and of course, a great full English whilst sitting looking out to sea. Definitely going back when next in the area.

The hotel was in a picturesque setting overlooking the estuary at Cardigan Bay. There was sufficient easy carparking and check in was efficient and friendly. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped with stunning sea views. We arrived quite late so had limited time to explore the area that evening having booked a table in the Flat Rock Bistro. Quality of food and service was excellent and good selection of drinks. Breakfast next morning was very good with decent selection to suit most tastes. We did local Parkrun at Teifi Marshes so had to rush a little but still thoroughly enjoyed. Great value and we will definitely be back!

We should have stayed an extra night

The property was excellent. The staff very attentive. Food delicious and excellent value. Plenty to eat!! We have stayed at the sister hotel (The Cliff Hotel and Spa just opposite) and the food and service at the Gwbert is much nicer. 10/10

The only downfall was no air con. The room was very hot. A fan is provided in the room but personally I need the room quiet to sleep and the fan would have disturbed me. I chose not to use it. This was the only issue. Otherwise excellent.

Location. Has one of the very best views on the west coast of Wales. The room was modern with an ensuite which all worked well. The bar and restaurant were very good and reasonably priced. Excellent breakfast the next morning.

One gripe. We stayed in Room 6 on the first floor. The floorboards in the room above are unbearably squeaky and noisy. It was fine once the upstairs folks had gone to bed, but while they were pottering about it was dreadfully noisy. DON’T stay in Room 6 until they fix the boards above!

Loved everything about this place. The staff were absolutely lovely, so friendly and helpful. Very professional and you could see they were all working as a team. The suite was beautiful, super comfy bed. Beautiful views. Great coffee machine. Loved having a fridge too. Breakfast was outstanding, there was so much choice. Really good to see pastries individually bagged and not just all out in a pile. Full cooked breakfast was served quickly and of super quality, made for a great start to the day. Evening meal in Flat Rock bistro was excellent. Bar prices were good too with plenty of choice. First time for us to visit and will definitely be returning.

I can honestly say that there was nothing we didn't like here. Everything was fabulous.

Lovely 2 night stay. Very good location next to the sea so there are beautiful costal views both from the hotel and when out walking close by. Poppit beach is a quick , scenic drive away and we enjoyed a lovely stroll along the sands. Cardigan is just a few miles from the hotel with a variety of local shops as well as plenty of places to enjoy a bite to eat and drink. The food at the Gwbert is absolutely outstanding and was probably the highlight for us . As a result we booked to eat dinner at the Flatrock Bistro on our 2nd night too. Breakfast also delicious both mornings. Staff were always friendly and generally very attentive. We felt it was the right balance of being left to realx while feeling looked after and valued as guests. Beds comfortable.

Noise from other surrounding rooms at points of the night and in the mornings like creaky floorboards. Some soundproofing would have made it perfect. Also on our 2nd day we requested our room to be made up. Certain things like the sink had not been given a wipe down in the bathroom but this didn't bother us too much. Would return again.

We have been here several times and it never fails to deliver. Excellent clean rooms. Very comfortable. Wonderful breakfast. Most rooms have superb views across Cardigan Bay. Always plenty of car parking available. The hotel has/is undergoing a refurbishment and it has improved it even further.

I work in the area 1 day per month. I like to get to site early to ensure I am back for check out time. If I could get breakfast from 7 instead of 7.30, it would be helpful.

Nice position and views, love,y bed and shower, for us, the food quantity was too large, but very good in quality. We did compromise by having a starter and dessert!

Sink had a crack in it, reported to reception. We booked an Executive room, we felt that the room seemed a bit small with not enough space for clothing etc, to reflect an executive status. It was nice having a bay window with seats.

Very smart hotel. Looks like it has been recently refurbished. The downstairs restaurant, hallway etc very stylish. My room had a super new bathroom. The sea views from the restaurant at dinner and breakfast are to die for, especially sundowners at sunset! Breakfast superb. plenty of choice inc hot breakfast beautifully cooked

My room's outlook (poky window overlooking carpark) but someones got to have it, I guess!
