What an absolutely lovely place! The room was immaculate - that bath is exceptional! - with a gorgeous window looking out over Rye and super comfy bed. Tunnnocks in the room and a tea and coffee making facilities! Absolutely delicious restaurant, too - we had breakfast both mornings (exceptional!) and dinner on the first night. Definitely go for a lychee margarita! The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were extremely careful and thoughtful with my nut allergy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Rye.
The hotel advertising makes this super clear, but just be aware there is no shower (other than a good, powerful shower attachment) in the bath. Not a negative, just make sure you’ve clocked it!

Perfect location on Rye High Street, staff were very welcoming and allowed us to check-in early as room was ready. Large room comfy bed and pillows. Great night sleep and really good breakfast. You get to choose from the restaurant brunch menu that the rooms are above. All in all a great experience

Spacious room and bathroom. Very comfy large bed, plus a sofa. The location is great - at quiet end of High Street, near the views and all the cobbled centre of this gorgeous historic town. Breakfast was delicious - and so much choice. We also had our dinner there and the chef creates such tasty small plates, which are not remotely small! No wonder it was booked out in the evening and there were queues in the morning for brunch. The staff are all friendly and sunny. It all made for a great weekend.

We loved having the breakfast included and the fact that its the same menu as the one they offer in The Fig, the choice was great, and including the smoothie is a massive bonus. Loved the vibes of the actual restaurant/building - bed was comfy and earplugs are provided if you need them as the room was facing high street so could get noisy.
Only thing for us was the fact that we were told upon arrival it will be better to have breakfast before they open to the public, so from 9 to 9:30 as otherwise you will need to wait for a table, maybe a booking system should be easier? guests could book a slot from 9 to 12 as that would have made a massive difference. Also checking out at 10 is VERY early, never have staid somewhere where check out happens at that time, as you only have a very small window to have breakfast and take bags out.

Breakfast was AMAZING - delicious eggs benedict and a hot drink and smoothies/juice also included. Really cute restaurant with modern finishes and plenty of space. The room was well decorated, the bed was super comfy with fluffy pillows and everything worked as it should.
Faultless stay.

Really easy check in and check out process. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the main street and a short walk to the train. Breakfast was delicious and served very quickly. Nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room. Lovely toiletries and fresh towels each day.
The half an hour window to have breakfast (9:00 - 9:30am) before having to queue for a table (when cafe opened to the public) was at odds with a relaxing stay. The small window means you can’t sleep in if you want to be guaranteed a table at breakfast without a wait. The room was very hot and only a small noisy fan was provided. A large and modern fan, or air-conditioning is needed. Given the heat, we had to open the windows to sleep and it was very noisy (as expected on a main street). Do not recommend the basic room (which is street facing) for light sleepers. Mattress and pillows not great quality.

The room was lovely, very clean and a good size. It was kept well stocked and in order by daily housekeeping. Breakfast was *incredible* and every single thing we tried from the menu was delicious, coffee was great, the smoothies were lovely and it was all round such a nice way to start the day. Staff were lovely and very helpful whenever we had questions. The room was above a cafe/restaurant so we were a bit worried about noise but the room came helpfully stocked with earplugs and noise was over by 10pm so it really wasn't an issue.
The only thing I would change is that it would have been great to be given two sets of keys as because there was no latch/slam-lock on the door, it meant if one of us went out without the other you'd either have to lock the other person in or leave the room completely unlocked which wasn't ideal

Perfect location. Spacious room (we were in Boho). Nice touch having water in the room. Minor observation – because there were original sash windows and it happened to be very windy when we arrived they were rattling, but improvised and put some tissue down the side and that sorted it. Restaurant excellent too as ate there the 1st night. Did I mention breakfast different being able to just choose off the brunch menu, but it was fantastic quality quantity and taste

Everything was great about our stay at the Fig! Central location of the room, check in and out was easy, staff exceptionally friendly, our room was clean and had a beautiful view and the breakfast included in our room was top class!
Nothing bad to say - an iron in the room could be an extra added but otherwise fabulous!

Beautiful rooms, felt so cosy and had lots of little extra touches that made it really enjoyable to spend time in the room. Breakfast was exceptional and so handy having what we thought was the nicest cafe in Rye just downstairs! Great location too
We were there during a quiet period, although I suspect during the busy season the room might get quite noisy (we were in the Boho room which is on the road side) so something to consider (although The Fig provided earplugs which was a nice touch).
