Very pretty quirky country hotel. It was a big mansion before it became a hotel. The hosts Jasper and Maria were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. The quiet and calm nature was great. Maria made all the decorations and knitted stuff herself. Beautiful tasteful decorations. The village is tiny but pretty.

The internet connection was erratic. No kettle available in the room (we asked but all they had were out of order). If you don’t have a car, you rely on taxis which come from Trysil (20-25 mins away). The taxi company isn’t reliable, don’t show up on booked times (we missed our bus to Oslo because they forgot about our booking which was made two days before the travel date).

We had an issue arriving late and the hosts made sure to accommodate us knowing we were already stressed. The room was beautiful and we sank into the comfy beds for a perfect nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was a haven - the pictures don’t do it justice how beautiful that room is.

It’s a very peaceful location and remote - be ready to drive a lot! We went during the off season and many places were closed around us. We were going mainly for hiking which was perfect for us but might be tricky for some.

I like the cosy style of the hotel. Really close to skiing town Trysil, not so far from the boarder with Sweden, but far from loud night clubs. It's a perfect hotel who love skiing and prefer avoiding loud nights.

Sometimes Wi-Fi network could have worked better. But that's the only thing which could be improved.......

Very nice accommodation with a family atmosphere. We appreciated the great breakfast and the comfortable and clean room. The hotel is located in a small village with a great location for trips to nature. Convenient location for skiing in the Trysil resort with the possibility to go skiing in the Swedish resort Sälen. We were very satisfied with the accommodation and we are very happy to recommend it.

Breakfast was made for me at the table. Reason being I was one of the few guests at the time. The bed was comfortable with an extra pillow and a warm enough quilt. Dinner at the restaurant was great, completely in line with the experience I had during my last visit. It was very easy to get some decent rest one of the days because of the serene environment.

Even though the bed was comfortable I would have appreciated a somewhat wider bed in the single room, as it felt quite narrow.

Nice and tidy breakfast, all you wanted was there in terms of variety of fruits, freshly baked bread, cold milk, cheeses, hams, sausages, cerials etc. The location is really nicely decorated and made you feel at home, staff was sometimes walking around, doing some small talks with the customers in between work tasks.

Breakfast was of a very high standard with an excellent choice of food.

There was nothing we did not like.
