The room was comfortable, quiet and the bathroom had an actual bath, not just a shower. This was just what I needed after a long day's work sorting out my mother in law's garden! The breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of car parking available. The hotel was very convenient for where I needed to be in Huddersfield and the check in process was very smooth.
I was a bit surprised to find that car parking had to be paid for. I have never been to a hotel where that was the case before and it's not as if there were only a few spaces. The hotel was a bit tired in places and some of the windows needed a good clean.

Staff are great ….. it’s run more like you would expect from a privately owned guest hotel …. It works and very efficient but it’s different which I guess I really like it !
Iv attempted to apply for a corporate rate on 2 or 3 occasions and nobody has replied. I originally booked for one night but my plans changed …. So checked to see if rooms were available which they were . I arrived at 1am , explained the situation as I requested a delux room . Sad bit was I was charged far more that my original booking and for a 5 hour sleep … the same rate or indeed a cheaper rate would have been nice !!

I only stayed one night and didn't use gym, bar or restaurant so have only given 4 out of 5 rating although the reception area is large and looks very stylish and cosy. I stayed in one of the hotels newly refurbished rooms and it was amazing - very plush and comfortable with a supersized bed and huge telly with all the apps and set up for gaming I believe!
Nothing major - not a big fan of booking in on screens in reception area, I like a staffed reception desk. That said, there was a very nice member of staff about when I arrived who helped me do the necessary. And I'd maybe put some coasters in those nice rooms, I didn't want to put my cup down on that lovely wooden furniture so had to improvise. 😊

Nice property that has had extensive renovations which has given it a very airy feel. Room was pretty bog standard so I would rate it as expensive for what you get.
The staff were nice although I REALLY HATE being referred to as ‘Guys’ which comes across as a lazy add on to a question or sentence. I would prefer the question was just that. There is no need at any time to refer to guests as ‘guys’. Sorry, rant over. It would be nice if the tv remote worked properly in the room and it could be possible to turn off the smart device pop up that appears every few minutes on the tv screen (not unique to the room because it was also doing it on the screen in reception) it’s probably a simple setup process that needs to be addressed.

We had two rooms, my wife and I in a superior double and her cousin in an accessible room. The rooms had been recently refurnished to a high standard and were very clean. The beds and the pillows were very comfortable. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant which was very good if a little pricey.
Breakfast was a bit of a hassle. It was served until 9:30 and we arrived at 9:05. Some things had already run out and had not been replenished. The coffee, once the machine had been refilled and the water had boiled, was excellent. The hot buffet was good and plentiful. One gripe in common with many hotels. Why on earth can't the toaster be correctly adjusted? Once through the machine and it is just warm bread, twice through and it is burnt toast!

The hotel surprised me, lovely staff and lovely renovated rooms. The young lady on reception was amazing, very friendly and helpful. So good first impressions. The quality of the beds was good too. A good all round very reasonably priced hotel, about a ten minute drive to Piece Hall venue, in Halifax. Would definitely stay again
Breakfast was a little disappointing. The quality wasn't that good and buffet meant food had been there a while so not cooked fresh. A good quality freshly cooked breakfast without having to get up to serve yourself would be so much nicer . Also it wasn't very nice having preserves in a huge jar instead of small single pots. Use good local produce instead of cheap and nasty bulk buy products. Otherwise this hotel would be amazing.

Hotel was very good and exceeded my expectations. Room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection and good quality (it's always a good sign when a hotel can properly cook tomatoes, and this one can).
Nothing we didn't like. It would have been even better if there was some natural yoghurt with no added sugar available at breakfast. The low fat natural yoghurt had added sugar so I tried some yoghurt that was in an unlabelled glass jar (would be a good idea if the jars were labelled), thinking that would be fully natural but it was very sweet.

Overview Cedar Court Hotel Huddersfield is a charming hotel located between Huddersfield and Halifax, offering a mix of modern amenities and traditional style. It’s an ideal spot for both business and leisure travelers. Rooms The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and tea/coffee making facilities. Some rooms offer beautiful countryside views. However, the doors are not soft-closing, which can sometimes lead to noise disturbances as you can hear people passing by. Additionally, if your room faces the garden, you might prefer to keep the window closed for privacy. Dining The on-site restaurant, Grill [54], serves delicious food with local ingredients. It's often very busy, especially during peak times, so it's best to book a table in advance. The lounge bar is perfect for drinks and light snacks. Facilities The hotel offers great facilities including a fitness center, indoor pool, sauna, and steam room. There are also excellent conference and meeting spaces for business guests. Service Staff are friendly and professional, providing excellent service from check-in to check-out. Location Conveniently located near major motorways (M62), the hotel offers easy access to Leeds, Manchester, and local attractions like Eureka! The National Children's Museum and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Value Cedar Court Hotel Huddersfield offers good value with competitive rates and various package deals. Pros: Convenient location Comfortable rooms Excellent facilities Friendly staff Whether for business or leisure, Cedar Court Hotel Huddersfield provides a comfortable and convenient stay.
Busy restaurant during peak times Doors are not soft-closing, leading to potential noise disturbances Noise from people passing by Limited privacy in garden-facing rooms

Modern Room , light airy and comfortable not cluttered.
Hard pillow s. Few Steps to climb on way to upper bedroom levels . Rain. Long walk from car paving not good for stilettos. Up hill ,difficult to Manover luggage soul traveller if elderly and have arthritis. Heights location being on top of hill difficult for anxious elderly folk that do not like being high up and motorway net work congested and allways accidents and hold ups at that chain bar ..Up north we need more government spending on better transport systems we need more motorways and road tunnels and improve woodhead pass .Only 3 ways to Manchester?need a display board outside to prompt visitors to entrance as wrong turning end back on a motorway or dual carriageway in opposite direction driving miles out of way trying to find way back.ie Halifax

Lovely friendly welcome and efficient check-in from the team on arrival. The room was a good size and very comfortable, with a grand view across the top of Huddersfield to the hills beyond and the iconic Jubilee and Emley towers, mirrored in the artwork on the wall. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room too. Breakfast was a good array of cooked and 'continental' options.
Parking is a bit odd. Lovely big car park, but you have to pay extra for it (only £4 per night). But a few days later I received a £100 parking fine notice! I called the hotel and they cancelled that, but this seems a common occurrence from reading other reviews. Cedar Court need to get that sorted as it's left a sour taste after an otherwise excellent stay.
