I loved everything about the hotel. The location, quality of the facilities and the staff at the pool, reception, engineers and the cleaning staff were all lovely and very cheery.

Hemme in the Frontyard restaurant ruined our experience at the restaurant. We stayed at the hotel for 11 nights and his attitude was miserable when serving a group of 7 women. He refused to serve us. We had just got back from trick or treating and were in high spirits and having a bit of friendly banter with some other British guests. The manager was called to serve us despite it being Happy Hour at 10pm. He totally ruined the night for us and going forward he was miserable the whole time of our stay. Personally I wouldn’t have him working at the restaurant as he should t be in a front of house role with such a bad attitude.

The facilities were great and comfortable. Everything was clean, and the staff were amazing. It was very convenient to have the shuttle to and from Universal Studios and City Walk. I loved the fact that the hotel had different activities per day for guests. The staff helped with our luggage when we arrived and left. Thank you for that!

The reason I couldn't give it a 10/10 is because of the parking fee. I paid $260 for 6 nights. I don't agree that guests staying in the hotel should have to pay for parking. It should be included. There is nowhere else to park as an alternative. Also, the food at The Front Yard restaurant was just OK. I don't know if it's what we ordered, but it lacked flavor. Not what I was expecting for the price we paid to have dinner there.

The property has an amazing vibe. The pool was so refreshing, the dive in movies was a hit with the kids. Rooms very clean and the beds could possibly be the most comfortable hotel beds we have ever slept on. Staff all very friendly, warm and welcoming The trolley to universal was a handy addition especially travelling with young children who can’t go in Ubers (no car seats) The hop on hop off bus also picks up from outside hotel we only managed to do the yellow loop. Traffic is crazy so pick the one loop you are interested in cause it’s doubtful you can do 2 (if you want to get off and explore) If you want to stay close to universal would highly recommend the garland.

The location. Went for a walk down the street to get some lunch and groceries walking back to the hotel (on the road the hotel is on and within 4 mins from the hotel walked past a man riding his bike with a machete around his neck. Our driver from our airport transfer also told us not to walk around after dark.

We had a wonderful stay at The Garland. The location was brilliant, the grounds were beautifully presented with well considered touches. The room was tidy, with comfortable beds and pillows. It had a great bathroom, fridge and setup. Whilst the room was ever so slightly compact for a family of 2 adults and 2 children the table & balcony gave us social spaces and the bathroom was well sized. The location and ambiance were wonderful. The trolley was very convenient, and we had a view of Hogsmeade in the distance. Whilst close to the motorway the room was really sound proofed. We had great help from the staff on one matter when my daughter was unwell. Our checkout process was less desirable regarding resolution of a dining charge issue between the restaurant and the hotel but this aside we absolutely adored our stay and will definitely be back one day!

The Hotel was a great find. The first impression, based on seeing the outside of the hotel in the pictures, doesn’t do service to just how charming and well appointed the hotel is. The lobby, bar and pool have a great hangout vibe and the rooms are super comfortable. The whole place has been updated from top to bottom and has a very special feel. The staff were great, and very helpful. The restaurant was super stylish and offered a good variety of foods for our family from pool side Nachos and sandwiches to a really tasty entrees like roasted half chicken in a cacciatore sauce. The hotel is not cheep but you get good value for money, and we will remember our time there fondly. FYI, the hotel offers a free shuttle to Universal studios, which made it a super easy to get there and back. Only a five minute drive.

The staff were ok. They did not seem interested or genuine in their interactions with us. Just seemed more important to hang out with each other and be super cool. I mean, they were all pretty cool, but on a number of occasions, we just wanted to order something or get something, and we were the last thing on their minds. This happened in the pool bar and restaurant a couple of times. Maybe it was us - who knows

Staff were all amazing, the trolly was cool and loved that it took us to and from universal studios. My son loved the pool. The ambiance was very nice.

Our only issues were: the balcony door wasn’t shut properly so the noise from the highway (we faced the highway/parking lot) was awful when trying to sleep. I tried several times to reclose the door, feeling like I pushed it closed well) before I finally had to ask for help and was sent an engineer to look at it. Unfortunately we suffered for two nights before I asked for advice, which should have been done earlier but it was so late at night when we were getting into bed. Twice we ordered take out food and the items were burnt. Hamburger bun was blackened on top and bottom, french toast was black on one of two slices. Next orders of each I just asked for no toasting of the bun and to not to burn the French toast and all was good.

The Garland far exceeded any expectations I had from just viewing it online and thinking "I love the retro vibe of this place". The wonderful reception area with all of the amazing furniture and fittings blew our minds on arrival - so fab. We were able to check in early (we arrived at midday) and our room was even better than what I had seen online. Perfect for the two of us who as friends, needed two separate beds so the family suite worked beautifully. The beds were the BEST BEDS both of us had ever slept on. So comfortable! The pool and bar area were fantastic to sit around and relax. We dined at the Front Yard restaurant for breakfast and lunch and loved the food. And the icing on the cake....finding out that the Brady Bunch house was a short 10 min walk away. We were truly living our retro dreams by staying at The Garland.

Absolutely love this hotel! Second time I have stayed here and the staff are always so amazing and definitely make the hotel!! Shout out to Tanner and Danielle at the pool bar/cafe who couldn't do enough for us! This is a great place for kids - the pool is always lovely and the hot tub is welcoming in cold weather. Love the twinkly lights at night and the general atmosphere. The laundry is a massive plus, especially when travelling with children! Love the little shop and both restaurants are brilliant, we ate there pretty much all the time they were that good! We will be back!!!

Its in a great location with easy access to the freeways, however you can really hear the 101 at night which is my only con - but it eventually becomes white noise :).
