Our stay at Murphy’s Farmhouse Guesthouse was simply perfect. From the very first moment, we felt warmly welcomed and truly at home. The guesthouse has a genuinely family-like atmosphere, which makes it stand out in the best possible way. The breakfast was local, fresh, and plentiful – exactly what you hope for to start your day. There were several delicious options, all made with regional ingredients. We especially want to highlight the hosts, who went above and beyond to ensure that no wishes were left unfulfilled. Their dedication and kindness were remarkable, and it’s clear that guest satisfaction is their top priority. We are extremely satisfied with our stay and highly recommend Murphy’s Guesthouse to anyone looking to experience true Irish hospitality at its finest.

The breakfast, the rooms, comfy beds, warm shower….. every aspect of our visit was excellent. Mary went above and beyond as my husband left his raincoat in the closet of our room. We realized it as we were hiking towards Torc waterfall in the Killarney national park.. I was able to contact her through WhatsApp and ask if it was found, she replied promptly with yes…. And stated she was on her way to Killarney anyway…. We were able to connect and meet up within an hour and a half of realizing it was not here. That I say was above and beyond our expectations for sure. So grateful as he needed his raincoat for the afternoon Jaunty ride through Muckross house and grounds !!! Made our first 24 hours in Ireland smooth as silk.. “ The Irish are so welcoming, helpful and nice “ We truly experienced this firsthand with Eileen and Mary at the farmhouse!! So grateful ~ The Caseys ~ Jenn, Edward, Kayleigh, Ryan … Nebraska, USA 🥰✨🤗

Nice family run traditional b&b in a very quiet location. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Was lovely to walk around the farm and the quiet surrounding area. This is a taste of rural Ireland away from the more touristy & busier towns. Two bars within a short walking distance. The Anvil was good for food while Murphys was more atmospheric for a pint and chat with locals. Only improvement suggestion is that wifi was not great in bedrooms. It was strong in the common areas though. An extender would solve that. Or maybe it’s better to not have wifi and just relax after the day of sightseeing. I was so tired it didn’t bother me.

Our room for four was surprisingly spacious, the bed was super comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay — always smiling and helpful. Breakfast was another highlight: homemade, delicious, and generous, with several options to choose from. We truly felt at home.
Just a small detail: the Wi-Fi didn’t reach our room very well, and since we were on the ground floor, we could hear footsteps from the room above. But nothing that ruined the experience :)

We had another delightful stay at Murphys Farmhouse B&B. We were there seven years ago and would you believe we were booked into the same exact room?? They had no idea we were there seven years previously in the same upstairs room. It was nice to see mother Mary, daughter Mary, and Eileen. Our room again this trip was very comfortable and had been redecorated. The bathroom was perfect with a great shower and very hot water and good water pressure. Their Irish breakfast is still fantastic and very filling. They had also redone the beautiful dining room. It was so great to be there again. Thank you, ladies.
Very steep stairs.

Breakfast in the morning was as pleasant as could be. The staff were more than welcoming, the food was simple, ample, and tasty, perfect for an early morning. And they couldn't have been more helpful in helping to arrange transportation, even driving me one town over to catch a more convenient bus schedule.
The WiFi didn't extend throughout the property although it was available in the common rooms. A simple WiFi extender would address the issue.

The breakfast was delicious with a menu of options including a full Irish breakfast and smoked salmon, plus a buffet of yogurt, granola, homemade fruit compote, juices, croissants, etc. We updated to the room with the mountain view and got to see the sheep grazing and beautiful sunsets. The bathroom and shower were a good size with good water pressure and hot water.

The home is a lovely old farmhouse, tastefully appointed and very clean. The breakfast was lovely, with a number of good choices.
We booked a king room, relying on the pictures online. We were given a double bed in a room the size of a sardine can. We didn’t even have room for two suitcases. I notified the owner that we weren’t comfortable but it was late at night and too late to change. She did refund a small part of my money when we checked out, but that doesn’t help with missing a good night’s rest while traveling.

I loved the proximity to a couple of eating establishments. My room was a little quirky in that it had 3 levels but overall it was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious.
I had a regular size single and at 188cms my feet hung over the end which was uncomfortable when I was awake but not noticeable when I was asleep.

The view from our room was great! We looked out on an open field, and could watch a hare running after crows in the morning. Breakfast was delicious, with many choices both on and off the menu! Pubs for food and drink were within easy walking distance. We stayed here in 2009, and were very happy we chose to return to this B&B again. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula are both nearby, so Murphys Farmhouse works very well as a base for touring these areas. Mary suggested a laundry service in Dingle (near ALDIs) that was wonderful! We dropped off (many kg) clothes in the morning, toured around Dingle Peninsula area, then picked up laundry at the end of the day. Cost was less than finding a laundromat and doing them ourselves.
WiFi was difficult to use in the room, but worked very well in the downstairs sitting room most of the time. That would be about the only thing we didn't like.
