This idyllic home from home property was a little gem, when me and my partner decided on a trip to Newquay i was originally planning on booking one of the other hotels closer to the beach, but when this property popped up as "usually not available" i fell in love with the look and feel of it - asif one of those "hallmark movie homes" (free parking too which was a bonus). The Host Amanda was lovely from the start messaging on the day of my arrival to check checking in times. The room was spacious, light and clean, comfy double bed, kettle for a nice cuppa in the room, mini fridge, TV, radio and even a mini fan, there was enough space to hang/store our clothing for the duration, good size bathroom too. The breakfast room was light and spacious, the tables where set out lovely and Amanda cooks an delicious full English breakfast just how you want (removing items if needed) Lovely morning chats asking us and the other guests about our days previous and what we have planned that day. The Hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the start of the town, and then a further 5-10 minutes walk to the beach depending on which way you go. Overall it was a lovely stay, would recommend 100% and hope to stay again in the future.

This was a fantastic Bed and Breakfast. The host couldn't do enough for me and the room was perfect. I would highly recommend it as it's only around 15 minutes to walk to the harbour and beaches and nearer to lots of places to eat. the room was spotless and the bed really comfortable. Breakfast was more than enough and there were lots of offers of additional help and ideas for visits as well.

There was nothing negative about the 4 nights I spent there. Everything was perfect.

Amanda is an outstanding host. She goes out of her way to make your stay memorable and her breakfasts are legendary. We took her advice on places to visit and her warm and friendly nature really goes a long way to making you feel at home. Alderberry Lodge is a prime location...you definitely won't be sorry to stay at this establishment. Sincerely thank you Amanda...we will definitely be back!

This b and b is perfect. It's spotless, breakfast was beautiful a lovely selection of cearal fresh fruit and a full English. If you didn't fancy going down there was an option of having a breakfast bap brought to the room. Amanda the host is lovely welcoming and friendly and has good knowledge of the local and surrounding areas and gave us a few pointers. We had a wonderful stay. Thanks Amanda and staff.

There is nothing not to like!

The welcome was wonderful. The room was lovely and the breakfast was outstanding. We felt very comfortable and we would recommend a stay.

The shower was only luke warm even when set to the maximum setting and we could not fully close the shower doors. This worried us a little as we did not want to get water all over the bathroom floor. We were also woken up at 3 a.m. by inconsiderate guests watching TV/ videos with the volume set so high that we could clearly hear the noise through our wall. My wife then found it extremely difficult to get back to sleep. This was a shame and did affect our overall impression of our stay.

The location is perfect, close enough to town but far enough for it to be completely quiet. Room was perfect, everything you need, including a mini fridge. The food was amazing. Cereals galore, fresh fruits yogurts and over night oats, followed by a full English cooked breakfast. A big highlight for us was the vegetarian option for cooked breakfast, it was delicious. Amanda is so lovely, warm and welcoming. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be back!!

Very friendly host who went out of her way to make you feel welcome. The room had a mini fridge and the host provides bottled water and plenty of tea/coffee. The breakfast has an amazing choice, including yogurt and fruit salad and a full English. The cooked breakfast is the best I have had for a long time...perfect.

The room was not large but adequate and well appointed.... we are used to king size beds, although the double bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size,

Location is ideal for central Newquay all amenities are walking distance. Parking was little tight but we managed to squidge about a bit and sorted. Landlady Amanda was gr8 very welcoming and friendly left us to it which is what we like. Brekkie brill we had a cooked brekkie but there was plenty to choose from big thumbs up ; )

Our room was a little small but had all the amenities that we needed and as it was only for one nite nothing to winge about it suited us : )

We liked everything about Alderberry Lodge. The rooms and beds were comfy, the bathroom was great, thoughtful touches in the rooms to make any traveler comfortable. Amanda made a delicious English breakfast and had many other options available to suit everyone's tastes. The center of Newquay and beaches are about a 5 minute walk downhill so very convenient to everything, restaurants included. Amanda was able to accommodate us when the airlines unexpectedly moved our flights, necessitating a second overnight at Alderberry. Much appreciated her flexibility and availabiiity of a room!

Really nothing was an issue.

The location was perfect. We could easily walk into town and our hosts were wonderful. Breakfasts included choices for vegan and gluten intolerant guests, and of course wonderful cooked breakfasts.

The only minor issue was that the car parks were quite tight to get into, however Amanda went out of her way to help ensure that we all got our vehicles safely parked.
