Very attentive. humorous and helpful staff who looked after some odd storage requests very well - comfy bed - nice shower. Overall very happy to return next time

Only minor things not noteworthy - breakfast was ok but a little less selection maybe - but still fine. Location is fine overlooking the river but maybe a few minutes longer walk from city centre if you are not very mobile

Wonderful staff, the shower chair for my mum was missing but they made sure one was provided so great staff that will go that extra mile for you with a smile. Nice breakfast and perfect location. Beds are super comfy. Easy public parking. However, the room could have needed a quick dust as there was a layer of dust on the glasses on the table and on the lights. But we had a great stay and would definitely come back if we have the opportunity to do so.

The dust on the glasses on the table, on the desk and lamps. It would have been nice if they were dusted before a guest arrives. Mugs and cutlery in the kitchenette also need to be checked before guests check in as two mugs were not really clean and that also was the case for some of the cutlery and a pan. But easily rinsed off but again it would have been nice if everything had been checked thoroughly before our arrival by the staff.

(+) Location: Position is everything! Right in front of river, in a quiet neighbourhood, yet just 5min walk from the center of Karlstad. We could stroll around the river, enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the area, which greatly accelerated our experience in the city. (+) View: We had a room facing the south. We could have upgraded to a room claiming ’river view’, a room facing the north. Yet, there is a smaller branch river on the southwest side, occupying most of the view of our south-facing window. So regardless of room choice, you get a river view, either the larger one or the smaller one. (+) Staff: The personnel was very accomodating and helpful, both during the check in/out and during breakfast. (+) Simplicity: The breakfast was simple, compact, yet with satisfactory variety of bread, waffles, cereals, and other sweet/salty choices. There is a coffee/tea corner at the reception available to hotel guests, since there is no water boiler in the room. Quite a different concept than other hotels, but not unpleasant.

(-) Cleaningness: This is a personal judgement. My wife thought the room was quite clean. However, I take notice of accumulated dust on the hair dryer, the mugs in the room, and on furniture surfaces. Yes, the room was visually clean, however, it appears it was cleaned a while ago, probably the last time somebody occupied it, which was likely some time ago before we checked in.

Very small room, with a very small bed (140 cm wide...i never encountered such a small bed in a 4 star hotel before)...it seemed that was what i reserved (i think it was very well hidden in room facilities when i reserved as i did not seen it). Scarce breakfast. Also, took a fine for parking in a totaly empty parking lot right next to the hotel.

The location is very great, it is in the heart of the city and is right on the river bank. We had a great view of the river. The breakfast was tasty and diverse. We liked the apartment.

The only thing that we didn't like, is that it was too hot with a closed window. We couldn't open the window because of the mosquitos.

The cleaning process was not clear, even though they explained it in the beginning. They wrote to leave the towels on the floor to get new ones. But we didn't get any when we did that. They just took the old towels. They removed the trash but didn't really make the bed.

A very nice hotel close to the center of Karlstad. Modern and clean rooms. Nice breakfast.

Be aware about parking. A staff member said that we could park two hours for free and didn´t need to move our car but that was not correct - did cost us a fine.

Everything was clean and the room with river view was a real treat. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Location was superb.

The coffee during breakfast could be better 😉

Excellent view and location. Very spacious and open.

These summer nights are killer without effective blackout curtains. Their curtains could have provided more coverage. Also, no AC.
