The Receptionists and most the bar team were amazing really made my break more relaxing. Spa treatments were excellent value for money however disappointed the pool/jacuzzi areas

Some of the staff were unhelpful, verging on rude and there were only 2 that were working properly. They left plates, glasses on tables for hours, didnt bother restocking the bar and the management seemed to take it out on the next staff on shift instead of the ones actually doing there jobs My first room was dirty, hairs everywhere, peeling paint, ripped headboard and was so small I felt claustrophobic however the receptionists swiftly resolved this by changing my room and then I had no issues

I was put in RM 102 , near the main road and heard the road works every night . I drove back to hotel one night and the road was closed so had to leave my car and walk to the hotel .room next door to me was getting refurbished and they started work at 7.30/08.00, so having been awake with the road works , I also had the work going on next room, needless to say I got little sleep. I could have been put in a room away from the road and mouse next door . As a guest you shouldn’t be charging for the car park . I was also charged for a lock to the ladies locker room . Not impressed .

Generally a nice hotel, really lovely outdoor space, restaurant and bar. It's in a good location and easy to get around from. Plenty of parking - we had an email to say it's £5 a day but weren't charged as hotel guests. Good sized spa area with long opening hours. Got a warm, welcome cookie on arrival. Room was large and comfortable. Was cleaned well and tea station was well stocked.

Some areas of the hotel needed refurbishing - like the bathroom in our room and the steam room. We booked dinner in the hotel restaurant on the Friday night, but there was a leaver's ball in the hotel at the same time. They didn't have enough staff (only two trying to manage dinner for the hotel guests) and had sold out of a few dishes on the menu (which isn't huge anyway).

Very nice, large twin room for my Mother and I. Quiet and relaxing sleep with excellent blackout curtains. Pretty views from the bar area and swimming pool. Had a lovely swim evening and before breakfast using the steam room aswell. Helpful reception and bar staff. Lots of choice in food for a late lunch and a light supper. So many TV channels! (as we have limited choice in our house.) An excellent breakfast, far exceeding the details I got online beforehand. Everything you could wish for. And then a beautiful reception given given in memory of a dear friend, with access into the garden. Thank you.

Only small things, like there were cracked mugs amongst the crockery. The room information didn't mention the check out time.

Friendly and comfy bar. Bar food quite good. Restaurant food was also good, but we had to wait longer than expected for it to arrive, as apparently was a large party in the function room. Nice pool and jacuzzi.

We had some confusion over the final bill, due to addition of parking charges (which had then been waived) and I had to point out the error to avoid being overcharged by £10. No malign intent on the part of the hotel, but a mistake that is worth watching out for. The shower in the pool area had a very weak flow. Due to large party in function room, guests in the restaurant were a little neglected. Perhaps need more staff to manage both events? Curtains in restaurant drawn, so very dark, despite lovely sunny weather outside.

Just wished there were more cooked vegetarian options at breakfast. Bathroom was kind of small and the shower barely had any power as the way the shower was designed, it would flood if it had power. Some of the reviews stating the hotel are not dog friendly is a complete lie. They gave us dog treats at every opportunity. You can't go in the main restaurant at dinner but you can book and just in the bar area with the main dinner menu which I actually preferred. The breakfast restaurant has an area for dogs and they greet you with more dog treats. Obviously the spa is off limits but that's it. Lovely grounds to take dog for a walk or if you cross the road and go up this side road, there's a lovely forest.

Breakfast was good, but bacon was underdone. Would be helpful to know if omelettes available. Room was spacious but sound insulation poor, doors banging and flooring creaking, much noise bridging and transference. Was not clear if lifts were available, needs to be made more clear.

The noise from doors banging. The ventilation system needs working on to get the balance right. Little jobs outstanding, like the shower screen hinge not fully fastened, board concealing pipe work not affixed, could fall on someone’s foot. The small o e percenters that have a big impact but low cost. After reception with great greeting and enthusiasm, the remaining staff hospitality is inconsistent, need to work on your staff culture and values as there is an inconsistent message of people not wanting to work there.

Good location - easy to get to Bourton in the water etc and easy to get to Cheltenham and Gloucester. Spacious room, very large bed. Friendly easy check in. Had dinner in the pub the first night. Easy to get an Uber into Cheltenham for dinner in 2nd night.

Our room looked out onto a wall and a ladder which was annoying considering the lovely surroundings of the hotel. We weren’t in the room much but if I’d have paid more I would have complained. As it was we got a cheap deal (probably because of the room view!) The radiator made a very loud banging noise so we needed to turn it off.

Parking - plenty of spaces. Hotel - clean and tidy. Reception - Efficient and friendly and we were offered a hot cookie upon arrival which was great. Breakfast was included in the price. This wasn't mentioned upon booking the stay so was a lovely surprise. Lovely room- elegant , clean and lovely view on to the garden. Stunning hotel. Breakfast- good range of food and had a window seat looking out on the garden. Great coffee available in the room. Checkout was easy and friendly. Plenty of facilities ( gym/swimming pool etc) if you wanted them.

Breakfast - Not very hot. Not sure how long it had been on the hot plate. Terrible coffee in the restaurant and only luke warm. Our room was 547- it was a very very long walk down corridors to get to it.!!! The pillows looked nice but there was no depth to them to sleep on. Your head just sank into them. Not nice at all. Stayed for a dinner / dance- food 7/10 Portion control inconsistent and nothing special. Wait between courses too long. Disco too loud whilst people eating/ talking. Needed to be quieter background music. £5 car park charge was a diappointment after paying what we felt was a lot of money for the room.

Staff were friendly room was good and access to spa was nice. I did request if there was anything staff could do as we were celebrating and they were able to offer complimentary cake and a banner which was a lovely touch and I wasn’t expecting it at all as when I’d asked I was offered options to purchase things which I decided against

When. Booking It was definitely advertised as breakfast incl but when we arrived it wasn’t on the booking which was annoying. Would be nice if there was a possibility for some more loungers around the pool instead of chairs but there’s not much space
