Great staff and excellent breakfast!
Didn't realise our particular room had a private, but separate toilet and shower to the sleeping room. In fairness this had been sent in a message after the booking was made but I missed it. Perhaps it maybe should be more obvious for the listing of the twin room, unless I missed that too, but kinda feel I would've noticed a detail like that, entirely possible I didn't. Fine for us two lads as we just needed somewhere to put our heads after a wedding party. The bathroom floor appeared a bit dirty but again, not a huge deal for us.

Beautiful building. Walked into a lovely older worlde bar and was warmly welcomed by staff and patrons. We're shown to a compact double room that was so clean and well presented and even had it's own patio area. There was a great information book that was concise and to the point with information on the local area etc ( some places we've stayed have a book that would take a week to read!). After a comfortable night we went down to what was one of the best cooked breakfasts we've both enjoyed in a long time. All the ingredients were of a good quality, tasty and well presented. A good choice of juices, cereals and jams were also available. Would definitely stay here again. Ten out of ten from us.
Some noise from neighbours but really not worth a thought.

Location was excellent and parking convenient. Breakfast really set us up for the day and we had a lovely terrace, had the weather been suitable for it.
The room was cold and needed the supplied heater to warm up. This was because there was a poorly installed double glazed door to the outside with a large gap, where cold air just poured through. Needs addressing as it feels a waste to have a heater on. Also, it was a pub, but it shut at a very early hour which was a little disappointing.

The room was as expected with everything as per the descriptions. The beds were comfortable and all the facilities and provisions were as detailed on the website. The bathroom although small, had everything required and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. The breakfast was superb - many options and choices available for both hot and cold options and the host was great. Free Parking. Just a few minutes walk from the centre.
The main locking door to get into our area of rooms didn't seem to be working properly. The bathroom appeared to have been painted, but there were lots of areas where they had 'missed bits'. They should also have updated the shower tray seals, which appeared broken and unsightly.

Very Friendly staff which was welcoming, and ensured our stay was comfortable. Great food in the pub, nice bathroom and comfy beds. We had to leave before breakfast was officially open and the staff set us off with baps and drinks to go! Plus they provide a fan which is always a huge bonus.
We had to traverse the pub game area (pool table/dart) to get in and out of the room hallway, which was crowded (understandably) with groups of young people, but made it a little awkward going and in and out easily. Also, not being able to leave the building after the pub closed and was locked up was a bit off putting.

All the staff were very welcoming. The food brilliant well presented tasty and good portions. Our waitress was lovely and helpful with our food choices and knew the menu well. The restaurant was clean and airy. Our ensuite garden room lovely as we also had a table and 4 chairs on the enclosed patio area, ideal for our 2 dog's. Good size carpark too. The pub was very busy when we arrived but it's a good sign it's extremely popular with the locals and visitors alike. Would we stay here again? Most definitely and mega thanks to everyone.
Nothing.

All the furnishing in the room felt new and/or well maintained. The room was very clean. Though there's a lively pub downstairs and a lot of traffic around the location, the room was fairly quiet. We really enjoyed being greeted by friendly, professional and helpful staff upon arrival, at breakfast and at departure. The breakfast also far exceeded our expectation in terms of the quality of the ingredients and how it was cooked.
The duvet was the only part of the whole experience that we actually didn't like, it felt very plasticky and not breathable. And a hint for light sleepers, it is an old building, so there is the possibility of hearing your neighbours if there are other / louder guests staying there as well.

The room, while basic, was clean and very comfortable. Bathroom had good shower. The cooked breakfast was very good. The selection of cereals (which I didn't have) was very limited, but overall good value for money and served by very friendly staff.
I was very happy with the accomodation, but there are a couple of things to point out. The rooms are above the bar, and if you are an "early toi bed" type might be a problem. It didnt bother me. The pub is on a busy road and although quiet at night can be a bit noisy from around 6.30 am. Again it didnt bother me. Lastly, they stop serving food at 9pm so if you will be arriving after this you'll ned to eat before you arrive.

Breakfast was very good, with a selection of cereals, orange juice, fruit and croissants for self-selection. The cooked breakfast (vegetarian in our case) was well-cooked (non-greasy) and they were very accommodating with switching items etc, and asked if we wanted extra toast or anything else once we'd finished. Cafetière coffee was good, and I heard someone else order espresso, so they seem to have all caffeine needs covered. It's only a small venue with a few rooms so the choice wasn't huge, but more than adequate, and I got the impression they would have gone out of their way to accommodate any additional requests as far as possible. The venue emailed in advance to warn that they had a special event on over the weekend we were staying and that there would be live music, but the room seemed well insulated and we had no problem with noise.
Our room was not en-suite, but had a separate private locked bathroom just a couple of steps across the corridor. This was the corridor to the entrance/exit, though, so I did bump into other guests a couple of times, and it did involve some rather noisy jangling of keys when going to the loo in the night! However, bathrobes were provided for comfort and privacy, and the listing did make clear that the room was not ensuite and priced accordingly so no complaints about this, but it's worth being aware that there's a chance you might encounter other guests as you go to and from the bathroom.

Nice breakfast. Helpful staff. Clean room. Good value. I was staying for a funeral, not as tourist. Much nicer than anonymous hotel. Had dinner with friends there and this was excellent value.
Sound transmission between rooms poor. Lighting in corridor lit up bedroom through the night.
