This beautiful period property is located on the banks of the Severn and surrounded by 3 acres of gardens and coppice. We were greeted by Marie-Clare at the door and Lou-Lou her adorable Dashaud. We stayed for 2 nights and were fortunate to witness the phenomenon of the Severn Bore which occurs periodically. Our room was spacious and well furnished tastefully and in keeping with the character of the age of the property. All amenities provided and wi-fi worked well as did our phone signal. There are some wonderful walks from the house along the river and the biggest surprise is the volume of mistletoe growing wild in trees all around. The room was spotless and newly refurbished and very comfortable. There is a seating area downstairs with coffee machine and cake/biscuits always available. The room is flooded with natural light and is a delight with sit in with a book or planning your day... The breakfast is on another level of both presentation and quality. The fruit is fresh and varied and the cooked items locally sourced from farms local to the village. Marie Clare is a wonderful host and this place is down as a return to on our list and recommend anyone to stay here as a relaxing quality venue and definitely not your average B & B.
Absolutely nothing to dislike....

The property was easy to find using the sat nav, I was greeted by the lovely Marie, who was extremely friendly and showed me around the beautifully decorated B&B. The room was absolutely stunning. Featuring an electric blanket, coffee machine, a small bag of fudge (which was gone within 5 minutes of me spotting it, delicious!) Marie gave me some recommendations of local restaurants to get some dinner. It was so peaceful! Marie informed me about the breakfast times, when I went down for breakfast she took my order and wow the food was incredible, she made me feel really special!! I cannot recommend this B&B more, it was the perfect getaway and was only about 10 minutes away from Gloucester town centre. I throughly enjoyed my stay, thank you Marie for making me feel so comfortable throughout my stay.

Marie-Clare was a dream host, ensuring our stay was comfortable and pleasant. The breakfast was absolutley delicious and of great quality. The property is set in a beautiful location, tucked away, with a cottage garden feel. The gorgeous wisteria, roses and foxgloves were all in full bloom during our visit which was really beautiful to see. It really is an idyllic setting. We loved the little vase of fresh flowers from the garden in our room, such a lovely touch. Thanks Marie-Clare for such a wonderful stay!
Nothing, it was wonderful!

Property was excellent… everything to hand and some lovely extra touches incorporated to make everything special. Breakfast was wonderful. Host was charming. Home from home and great value for money. Would easily say this is a four star not three b&b
I assume being grade listed / or just very expensive to replace, the windows are single layer and due to this, let in damp and mold. House therefore was a little chilly and a tad smelly everywhere. However cleanliness, besides windows was spotless. Important to note it was November so aired out in summer I am sure is lovely.

Lovely old farmhouse by the river, beautifully presented, inside and out. Wonderful garden with secluded areas to sit, sunbathe and eat. The breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice and high quality ingredients. The owner is a very friendly lady with good info about interesting places to visit in the area.
There is nothing not to like about this B&B, as it’s very good value for money and a lovely place to stay, with a premium feel. If I was being picky, then not being able to walk to a shop or pub was a (very) mild inconvenience, but the owner was totally fine with us bringing our own food and drink back for dinner.

Marie-Claire was the best host. I loved that she got the sausages in each morning from the local butcher; truly the best breakfast experience I've had in a long time. I let her know ahead of time that I was traveling with a friend for her birthday, and Marie-Claire went above and beyond in making our stay special, even getting a cake for us! Overall, the property was adorable and had some great history, plus being right on the river, it was so quiet and peaceful!

We were made to feel very welcome in Marie-Claire’s beautiful home. Spacious and comfortable bedroom with excellent facilities including dressing gowns and coffee machine. Freshly cooked breakfast was delicious, and we were well looked after in all aspects of our stay. Marie Claire also recommended a walk from the doorstep which was lovely.

The Naight House is centrally located for visiting Tewkesbury, Cheltenham, Cirencester and of course Gloucester and Gloucester Quays. Marie-Clare is a fabulous host and has thought about everything you might need during your stay. There's a lovely picnic kit available and many areas in the garden to choose from to relax in. The room was beautiful and the breakfast selection is absolutely amazing.

Location was easy to find using Google Maps. Our hostess Marie Clare was there to greet us when we arrived. Room was spotless, bathroom wonderful. Bathrobes provided. Coffee machine and fridge with milk just outside our room in an alcove and kettle, bottled water, teas, coffee and hot chocolate available in our room. Breakfast superb, made by Marie Clare herself. All freshly cooked to order using local produce. Bed very comfortable with an electric blanket if needed (although this not necessary as Marie Clare had made sure heating was on when we got there). Would definitely stay here again.

The attention to detail to ensure we had a comfortable stay was excellent. Marie-Clare is a superb host. Breakfast was delicious; locally sourced smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. A super selection of cereal, fruit and yoghurt. Good coffee too - a welcome bonus. Super location by the river with marvellous gardens. Would definitely recommend.
