We travelled for our best friends bachelorette, we arrived after 9pm and the staff were still there and more than helpful, accepting and accommodating, when she noticed my best friend in her bridal outfit she asked me politely if she can change our rooms so the bride to be gets the slightly bigger one ( i would've gotten it because i made the reservation) and i was so surprised that she wanted to do that because it rarely happens that staff think about such things and i can't appreciate that more, this place was far beyond amazing and we absolutely LOVED all the staff we encountered!

Nothing, in all honesty this was the first time ever that we booked in somewhere and i didn't find something not up to standard. The whole place was just amazing, clean, beautiful, professional, safe and amazing staff!

Oh my word I loved everything about this place. The staff is amazing! My booking was last minute but Alina made everything so smooth sailing. It's obviously cold as it's winter time but this place had everything to make us warm. I mean from electric blanket to a bathroom heater. That is the best thing I loved about this place. I'm so impressed that they put their customer's needs a priority. We couldn't have breakfast as we had to leave extra early but they made us this cute breakfast pack on the go 😊...thank you so much for the thoughtful gesture. Most places would not even care that you can't make it for breakfast! Safety is always my concern but I had nothing to worry about here. The unit was beautiful and clean. The view is so beautiful and peaceful. This place is definitely now my go-to accommodation when I need to be around there.

Absolutely nothing!

Fantastic location, a real oasis of tranquility yet only a few minutes from Menlyn Mall and seconds away from the Woodhill clubhouse and first tee. The staff made our party feel as if we were staying with friends rather than in a hotel. Whatever your reason for staying I can’t recommend The Woodpecker Inn highly enough. I hope to return soon!

I can’t think of any negatives at all.

All Staff were Extremely friendly and assisting at all times. Peaceful surroundings, Central, food was great, room was older furnished but very neat and comfortable. Patio for breakfast with most stunning setting on golf course and with beautiful vegetation. Always felt safe and enjoyed the surroundings and walks.

The breakfast was exceptional. The guy at reception was really friendly and made me feel welcome. I will definitely be back.

The toilet seat was loose, but I reported it and I am sure they will fix it now. If things like this doesn't get reported, it won't get fixed because it is something you cannot see. You have to sit on the seat to notice it.

Everything was nice. Host was welcoming. Breakfast was lovely. View on the patio to the golf course whilst having breakfast was nice. Lots of birds and lush green lawns.

This is personal preference. I like sleeping in a dark room. The room had an opening in the ceiling with a window. It was bright as soon as the sun comes up. No way to cover the opening. But that is personal preference.

Excellent. Would have given full marks for everything, but that means perfection. Only minor detail was orange juice and water at the breakfast table on the first morning, but not the second. You set the bar on the first day :-). Loved the rooms and all available bouquets on TV. Loved the view. Good shower head and water pressure. Given a guest house, more than enough privacy. Annatjie and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very safe and peaceful surroundings.

Everybody was very friendly and accommodating! Service was 5star! Will never go to any other hotel/guesthouse when I'm in that area again. Annatjie and I had such a nice conversation and shared beautiful memories of our lost loved ones. Thank you for making my heartbroken time more bearable.

Just a suggestion : some ice cubes in the freezer would be great.

Everything - The staff were friendly, helpful and they put an incredible amount of effort into the breakfast. The shower is nice and big and the "shower head" sprays a strong stream of water - I have slept at many B&B's where the shower head sprays in 7 different directions with everything wet except YOU... A plus was the environment is quiet and peaceful.

Great, tasty and appealing breakfast. Attention to detail by the staff, personal touch and genuine interest in their guest's comfortable stay. It is a home away from home. We have booked for our next trip in May. Only suggestion is to have more comfy pillows to sleep on. Management and staff are fantastic..
