The location. The beach just in front and Palmar Beach within walking distance. Boats to Il Aux Cerfs just literally around the corner. Quite good choices of supermarkets, restaurants and takeaway shops. The owners were especially nice. Very pleasant and professional. I was allowed to remain until after checkout time as my return flight was in the evening. Good privacy. Good facilities. Can cook, has a microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery and an iron and ironing board. Clothes line to hang out your washed clothes. Lovely dining area.

Some locals & staff may ask questions to the point that it gets uncomfortable and become quite inquisitive.

To tell the truth my first impression was not soo good - basic apertment, bit smelly wardrobes,dirty sea... But actually we started to like it there! Beach was nice (sea was still sometimes dirty in the afternoons,for bathing we prefered other beaches), we liked pleasant garden, white sunbeds, crabs in the sand, the view, kind mrs Patricia and homy breakfast :)

We especially didnt like dirty sea (which isn't of course fault of the apartment, it is just the harbour location..)

The location is excellent, right on the beach next to Trou D'eau Douce public beach. This is a perfect place to spend a few days. Lots of places to eat in Trou d'Eau Douce (walking distance), Perfect place to board the Catamaran to go spend a day at Ile Aux Cerfs. Staff is really nice and welcoming. The view from the Beachfront rooms is very nice. 1st Floor beachfront rooms are very modern and nicer than the ground floor ones.

We just missed a separation on the balcony between the two rooms located on the same floor. It lacks a little bit of privacy. I would recommend renting the two rooms. Plus it makes sense as you share the kitchen.

Patricia, the staff and the gardener are amazing, always smiling, and really friendly and helpful! Our room had a a mall kitchen with everything we needed. The location right on the beach is perfect, and nice with the lawn for our kids to play. We really felt at home and enjoyed the stay, and felt safe through a passing cyclone. We would definitely consider coming back if we go to Mauritius again!

It’s a basic accommodation and a bit worn down, but as long as you expect this, it’s fine. There are lots of boats right off the beach, which are noisy and can be disturbing for some people, although our 1 year old thought it was super exciting to watch the activity. When we arrived, there were lots of seaweed on the beach due to southeasterly winds, making swimming very unpleasant, but when the winds changed the seaweed disappeared and the beach was beautiful, although lots of coral pieces, so swimming shoes can be good but not necessary. As everywhere else on Mauritius, there is lots of plastic waste on the beach. Very sad to see and it really takes away the “paradise feel”, and could be easily addressed with more bins and some regular cleanups.

Trou D’eau Douce is a real Mauritian village with a local vibe. The Villas are in an ideal location next to the public beach and two good local restaurants.

The parking can be a nightmare if more than two guests have cars. The small lot is on a blind corner in both directions. To be able to get out you have to reverse in across two lanes of traffic. I eventually learned how to do it but it was stressful and I scratched my rental car in the process.

Amazing accommodation. Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Lovely location. Highly recommended..Room was 1st floor 2 bedrooms and kitchen/lounge and balcony with garden view. Cosy and perfect for our stay. Patricia was so welcoming and cheery every morning.

Location is best and staffs are friendly.

They have to rework the parking near the big bungalow its really a steep slope risky to put cars and doors were not having keys to lock. The room having bunk bed is a bad choice should be replaced as single beds even it will be small but adults will be comfortable to sleep. Otherwise not major problem.

I recently stayed at the self-catering holiday apartment and I have to say, it was an amazing experience. Being right on the beach meant that I had easy access to the water and could spend my days lounging in the sun, swimming in the sea, or taking long walks along the shore. It was the perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and natural beauty, and I would definitely stay here again in the future. If you're looking for a relaxing, beachfront getaway, then this apartment is the perfect choice!

Even though the house is not modern, it had all the amenities as described and it was spotless. We enjoyed the garden and the beach - lovely location. It has good restaurants within walking distance too. Patricia was lovely and very welcoming. Overall, it was a great stay.

The toilet’s flushing mechanism was constantly running, and a towel was placed on the floor to prevent flooding.
