Amazing breakfast at the Nihonbashi Asada restaurant. Offers a buffet breakfast with western and japanese selection. The delicious morsels arrayed on unique tiny plates is a very different experience than heaping everything on one plate! Even the drip coffee was good. The bedroom was super comfortable, no complaints.
The restaurant still requires that guests wear these ridiculous plastic gloves for the breakfast buffet. I also thought the onsen was a bit of a let down, with only one lukewarm bath.

We chose this hotel mainly due to its excellent location in Nihonbashi, with excellent connections to the metro and the JR lines. You can walk to Tokyo Station in 15 minutes, Akihabara in less than 20 minutes, Ginza in less than 30 minutes - or you can take the Ginza line straight from under the hotel! Kanda station for the JR lines is less than 10 minutes' walk. The area around the hotel has some lovely little shops, as well as some big department stores, cafés and restaurants. Just outside the hotel there is a Seven-eleven konbini, if you want a quick snack. All in all the location could not be better. We also wanted a hotel with a sento (the public bath) to relax in the evenings. Soaking in the hot water is the most relaxing thing after a day spent exploring, or just before bed. There is a bath for women and one for men, that you access with your room key. The bed was very comfortable. We did not hear any noise from the other rooms or from the street. There was a separate toilet, and a bath/shower room. The sink is outside of the toilet, sort of in the room. However, there was a sliding door that we could close to create a separation between the sink area and the bedroom area. Our room also had a small sofa and an armchair. Everything was clean and in good order. Breakfast was very good, with mainly traditional Japanese options, such as grilled fish, rice, miso soup, and a lot of little side dishes such as pickles, small portions of tofu, seaweed, umeboshi, etc. There were also Western-style options, such as croissants, pain au chocolat, bread, some cereals. The staff at reception was very polite, efficient, and helpful. I would very highly recommend this hotel. I think we will stay on other Mitsui Garden Hotels in future, to explore other areas of the city.
There was no storage space in the room for our luggage, but we put it in a corner and it worked out fine. It is well known that hotel rooms in Tokyo tend to be small, so it wasn't a surprise. Although the breakfast was tasty, the options did not vary from day to day, so for a 7-day stay it got a little boring, and one day we simply skipped it and went to get something else. Some evenings the public bath was a bit crowded (especially the female bath) and on a couple of occasions there were children who were speaking loudly, disturbing a bit the relaxing atmosphere - but this is more a reflection on other guests' manners rather than on the hotel.

The breakfast selection was good, enough for Western taste and very good for Japanese taste. I loved the greenery outlook in reception/dining area l. Hotel felt modern and sleek.
I shared with my daughter. Room slightly small but inline with Japanese hotel rooms you couldn't leave your suitcase open, there was no room for that. I didn't like that the hand basin for personal use was not enclosed for privacy and you had to change in shower area if you wanted any privacy. The room felt dark with lighting on. Lighting not great for doing make up application. The check in staff member tried to overcharge me for my stay by $600, only after showing her my booking did she agree she had made an error.

This is really a great hotel! We didn’t try breakfast but there are so many other options around! Location is amazing and quiet as it seems a bank district. We really liked the amenities at the bottom floor to avoid wastage and the onsen was really nice and quiet. Shame it doesn’t have a laundry. Honestly the best stay in our Japan trip! The metro is literally inside the hotel and it’s super convenient, especially if you want to go to Kamakura! You sit down in the city and after 1h you are at the beach!

Well spaced and beautiful aesthetically reception area. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Check in process was easy and fast. Room was promptly cleaned every day.
Security for the lift access to the guest room floors could be improved. I encountered non guest able to press any floor call buttons so long as the lift access is activated by a valid guest taking the same lift. It should be card programmed to only floor where the guests are staying (feature implemented at ANA Inter-Continental that I stayed before). Next is the hotel could have provided a lounge area outside the public bath for guests to rest while waiting for their spouse or family members after bath. I agreed with the hotel notice that guests with pajamas and bath slippers should not be in the hotel reception for pleasantness but there is no proper space if guests need to rest after a hot bath.

We loved the location as it was central in the city, close to subways (Tokyo station was walking distance if preferred), and there was a selection of restaurants nearby. The hotel was comfortable and had all the key amenities. While the room wasn't too spacious, they found space for a small seating area and we had all the space we needed. Breakfast buffet was excellent with a great selection of both Japanese and western options. Staff was quite helpful in figuring out nearby restaurants and transport to the airport. They also held our bags for us on arrival (and then delivered them directly to our room) and departure.
One of the pillows had a strange stuffing like plastic beads. Luckily, the other pillow option was fine.

We are staying for vacation, very convenient location and near to metro station, especially travel from haneda airport. The hotel is very easy to access the travel spot near the Nihonbashi area. Cozy room and high floor. Our room can view to the Tokyo skytree tower. Will try the bigger size room next time and the price is slightly on high side. Overall is very worth staying and highly recommended hotel for travelling to Tokyo.
the only thing not preferrable is the breakfast time not serving till too late. Recommend can be extend the time.

i had the twin bed corner room which was a decent size room as i was a solo traveler. location was great as metro/subway is around the corner from the hotel. a nice plus was the public bath to relax with plenty of toiletries provided by the hotel. love how the room allows you to control light and heating/cooling from a touch pad by the bed. the hotel is in a quiet location and a 7 eleven was around the corner where i could pick up snacks. i would definitely stay here again.
wish you could check in early as i landed in tokyo at 4.15 am. they do take your luggage and stow away for you. next time i would be a night before i arrive so that i have a room ready for any early arrivals.

We have mixed feelings about Mitsui Nihonbashi Tokyo. We keep going back to this hotel because of its great location, surrounded by many restaurants. The breakfast is excellent, and the chef consistently prepares delicious Japanese dishes with a unique and better taste. The onsen and the massage chairs at the onsen are also wonderful. However, we are disappointed with the service from the staff. They seem unwilling to provide any real service, such as not following up on questions, not bringing suitcases to the room, and not even informing us when our suitcase had arrived. During our stay, we experienced an earthquake alarm. The staff did nothing to provide us with information. We found ourselves in the lounge, along with a few other guests, standing in our nightclothes and underwear with no staff coming to assist us. Being from a country where earthquakes are rare, we expected some guidance. Thankfully, one of the Japanese guests in the lounge was kind enough to help us understand the situation. When we returned to our room, we called the reception to ask what to do if it happened again. The receptionist promised to come to our room but never did. Overall, while the location, breakfast, and onsen are excellent, the lack of attentive and responsive service from the staff is a significant drawback.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel in Tokyo. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered various options to suit every taste. The room was perfectly equipped with everything I needed—cozy, comfortable, and very inviting. The location couldn’t be better, situated on a street full of shops and just a short walk to a shopping center. The metro station is only a 2-minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. There are also plenty of great restaurants nearby, which added to the overall experience. The staff were exceptional—friendly, professional, and always ready to help. Their warm and welcoming attitude made my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo. Although it’s rated as a four-star hotel, it truly deserves five stars for its quality and service. You won’t be disappointed!
Honestly, I can’t think of anything that could be improved because everything was absolutely wonderful. From the friendly staff to the delicious breakfast and the fantastic location, my experience exceeded all expectations. It was truly a perfect stay!
