The price was very good for the location if you're interested in visiting Kabukichō but worried about being too close. The walk to Shinjuku station is about 10 minutes and is very straightforward. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff are really polite, patient, and helpful. The beds, living space, showers, and bathrooms, were all maintained well. The breakfast (~6 USD for me) was very good, and there's also a Lawson around the corner, so morning food is easy to get. They have a decent selection of morning drinks like Coffee and Tea. The breakfast cycles between a Chicken Basil Sandwich and a Ham and Cheese Sandwich, the sides are always broccoli and yogurt with your choice of juice (Orange & Apple) Solo travelers will be satisfied! I made friends with people both in my shared room as well in the common space, there's also beer served in the common space at night so share a drink with some friends before venturing into Kabukichō!
The space for luggage could've been more well defined, I saw some people's luggage spilling into other spaces (including my own, sorry former neighbors!), and I wish there was a full size hanging rack on the wall to hang towels/shirts properly.

Staff were great - super friendly and gave me awesome advice for places to visit. The included breakfast was good, a toasted panini and bowl of yoghurt / muesli. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The common space offers a microwave and small fridge for communal use as well. The location is great and super accessible, plus the business of the area meant I never felt sketchy at night time - the hostel is easy to find and well signposted as well, and traffic noise etc. was never an issue.
The dorm rooms are small and there are no windows in the common spaces, so they aren’t super inviting. Best as a base to spend long days exploring the city.

This hostel boasts an excellent location, just a short walk from a major transportation hub, providing seamless access to central Tokyo and beyond. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, with all essential amenities readily available. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive. Additionally, the atmosphere is more social and engaging, reminiscent of European hostels, which can be a refreshing change for those traveling long-term in Japan and seeking a more communal experience.

Clean, quite cheap, not far from the metro station. The room (I mean the bed capsule) is quite spacious. I liked that they have separate floors for men and women.
The breakfast, or at least tea/coffee is not included. Towels are also extra charged. No lockers for luggage. They had only small lockers where I could put my laptop. No shelves in bathroom, which was quite inconvenient. Even though I lived in room of 6 women, someone was snoring all night. I had to wear earplugs. But it’s of course not the issue to the hostel, it’s just the possibility that you have to put up with if you choose to live in hostel.

It's a hostel. Please remember that it is a hostel. It does it's best and it was really comfortable when I walked in at 2 AM to wake up at 7 AM and leave to explore. I got what I needed out of it especially because I arrived really late in the day to check-in. I was overall impressed because I never felt like I was in danger or like anything could go wrong. I paid for a place to nap, shower, and use the toilet and this was it. A quick shout out to the way they planned the rooms because out of 8 bunks, there were only four girls in my room. It made the experience really comfortable and sweet.
Nothing, you get what you pay for. Just be aware that they are strict with timings and try to avoid late fees or holding fees.

The staff at the front desk was awesome! They were very patient helping me make some reservations since I didn't have a Japanese number. I also like the lobby area. It was a nice place to hang. And the bunkbeds in our room were pretty spacious.
The only issue we had with the room was that there was no way to adjust the temperature and the top bunks got pretty hot with the heat on, so we usually just kept the thermostat off. Also, the cleaning crew came around 10am/11am each day, which was prime bathroom time so that we pretty inconvenient.

Perfect location, 10 mins walk to Shinjuku station and a 7/11 just down the road. A great price for being so central. Very clean rooms and shared spaces with all the amenities you may need. It was very quiet when I stayed, there was max 3 people in my 6 bed dorm across my entire stay so it was very easy to sleep with no disturbance. Friendly staff who are more than happy to help with any questions you may have. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will return if I’m ever visiting Tokyo.
The lightbulbs in the bedrooms could be a little brighter, but I appreciate they are probably on the dim side for if people are leaving through the night/early morning.

Overall very good hostel!
It is said that they have the washing machine but what is not said they are advising against using their dryer because its not working great (there is a note on the door). I could have done my laundry in my previous accomodation but since it was occupied a lot of time I decided to do it here since there was an information that the hostel has a washing machine unfortunatly I had to go to the nearby washing place (which was recommend by the hostel in the note on the door) which was much more expensive and just inconviniet to use.

Really good location - felt safe as a solo female taveller. I was never out late thought, so dont know how its like during late evening/ night. i recommend reading up on the Kabukicho area before going, if you dont want to go there its easy to stay away. If you are i female i would 100% recommend the female only doorms, they had an entire floor for female only, which were so much nicer and smelled much better than the mixed gender dorm floor. I really liked the bed, as opposite to other reviews. also good ventilation we were only between 1-3 on the 6 persons doorm, but the room was spaceous.
could have provided laundry detergent (if not for a fee) - not a lot of backpackers have this or want to buy a whole bottle. could have been more sofaes/ nice chairs to sit in in the common area. The sofa and chair thats there now aint clean. maybe offer some social events check-in felt unpersonal could provide free towels

Staff was very friendly and helpful! Also found the accommodation was clean and the rooms are nice to sleep in. No disturbance of other guests or any outside noise. Location is also very great if you want to explore Tokyo!
I think I had the smallest room on the floor so there was not a lot of space for your luggage when you're in the front or middle bed since everyone has to pass to get to the door.
