1. As a capsule hotel, the rooms are big than other, you can lay down without trouble. 2. Helpful staffs, changed my room away from selfish roommate below. 3. Sufficient places for wash basin, rest rooms and shower rooms. 4. VERY comfort and wide public space, 5. Well sealed smoking room at 2nd floor and won't bother non-smoking guests. I'd never smelled any smokes pollution in any other place of hotel. 6. Quiet street and away from boulevard "noise motorcycles". 7. If you have a lazy day, there're several convenient stores, post offices and curry rice around the hotel. 8. Well lighted corridor, you won't accident hit something or somebody's shoes/slippers.
1. Shower room with only 1 door behind, there should be have outer door, but only a curtain outside and can't lock.(bad for privacy) 2. Elevator at 2nd floor, after you have a whole day of walk, you won't like to see anymore of stairs. (but don't worry about your luggage, 1st floor is for staff only, staff'd move your luggage 3. 4 subway stations "nearby", but each one you have to walk least 10 mins to reach; Kintetsu/Hanshin Namba station, need to walk 15-20 mins, +5 more minutes to reach Nankai Namba station. 4. The capsule door curtain is decaying if that room is using frequently, should be changed into something more durable.

I liked the cleanliness of the room and the facilities. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. They were accommodating as well. The location was great, and it was central enough for me to take casual walks in the neighborhood and to walk to different hot spots. I was also not far from the metro and subway, but I don't mind walking 5-10 minutes. I would not like to stay directly opposite the metro anyway.
I would have liked if there were snacks or some breakfast options to eat. There is coffee, tea and water, and a vending machine, but no snacks. There are convenience stores around the corner and its not far to walk, but sometimes, it would be nice to have some options available in the same building, for food.

For a capsule hotel, the rooms were very spacious and the hotel offered plenty of amenities to make my stay comfortable. I the rooms were not noisy at all and everyone was very friendly. The hotel is a bit far from Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. It takes about 10-15 minutes for me to walk to Dotonbori from the hotel. However, the location was a lot quieter since it was outside the busiest area of Shinsaibashi, making it ideal for getting some rest. There are also many convenience stores in the area, which made it ideal for me to grab a snack in the morning and at night.
The hotel is a bit far from Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. It takes about 10-15 minutes for me to walk to Dotonbori from the hotel.

I enjoyed the experience, so now I can say I've stayed in a capsule hotel. (And the rooms are bigger than many.)
If you are young, flexible & short - this hotel is a good option for you. As I am none of these, it was an interesting experience! But as a 75yo, I loved the opportunity to give it a go and grew quite fond of my little cubbyhole! I would've liked a small mirror in my room & a reading light but sheesh, these rhings are minor.

Fairly good location - 8 minutes walk to the nearest metro station. The capsules were very clean and well equipped. We loved the sento (public bath), where you can find very good quiality shampoo/conditioner/body soap, as well as fancy blow dryers, they also have hair curler iron which you can request at front desk. The toilet, shower booth and washing area were kept clean and tidy all the time. There is also a relaxing area at ground floor where you can make coffee/tea. Also loved that man and woman are completely separated.
Nothing to do with the property, but completely depending on who else is staying there - toilet doors were not shut after use. Since the toilet flushes automatically, leaving the doors open means this could wake up other people while flushing, and unpleasant smell might escape the toilet

I’ve stayed in a lot of different capsule hotels and really enjoyed the set up of Hotel Cargo. The size and space of the capsule itself is a luxury, it is so nice to have your things with you and have some more freedom of movement. The public baths on L9 are great, and the amenities offered in the female bathroom were a great touch. I found the bed comfy but have been sleeping on this type of mattress for a few weeks now so maybe just used to it. It seems in other comments you can ask for an extra mattress if needed and that’s great. There is a ground floor common room with vending machines, and space to heat up/eat food. Staff were super friendly and do a great job taking care of you. Hotel is located in a great area with easy access to local subway and good restaurants and coffee around
No real negatives - more just interesting the showers/toilet are within the room section. In some ways this is good as you are only sharing with those in your area, but it can create sound issues. I think that just comes with the experience of staying in a shared space though so wasn’t a deal breaker

It was spotless clean. It was very nice to have a big capsule. The public bath area was also great. It was a short walk away from the metro, and walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The common area was nice and had plenty of tables and chairs to sit at, plus you could get tea/coffee/miso soup. The staff was very kind and acommodating. Towels and pyjama (and slippers, of course) were included.
Sink and toilet rooms were in the same 'room' as capsules, so I thought this might have caused some noise. I am pretty sensitive and it wasn't an issue, but perhaps I was lucky.

The hostel was in a great location super close to the main osaka area and next to heaps of stores and vintage shops. They also supply cleansing oil, cleanser and body moisturiser in the bathroom so its well stocked. The pods are also like full rooms with enough room for a suitcase laying down.
I didn't love how I had to use the stairs when I first arrived with my big suitcase, it turns out there was a lift for the staff but that isn't mentioned, so definitely ask them to help you grab your bag with the lift.

Great place to stay in convenient location. The capsule rooms are spacious and comfortable with power, lights, privacy curtain, storage cupboard, hangers, and a small safe. Bathrooms are modern and spotlessly clean. The public bath is small but also super clean and the water nice and hot. Clean towels are provided everyday and all the toiletries you need. I really liked the pyjamas too. The dining area with microwave and free tea/coffee/water was a great space if you want to bring your own food in.
The only lockable storage is the safe which is good for passport, money and small items but there is no other locker for other possessions (eg. Laptop/tablet) or luggage.

The location was a short 10 minute from a major train station with several train lines. There is also a very long shopping street about 2 blocks away which made it convenient to find something to eat at night. This is probably one of the cleanest hostels I’ve ever been in and the room was quite big.
It was so cold in the main part of the room (surprisingly warm in the individual room). I’m pretty sure that coldest got me sick. They do provide extra blankets by the elevators but it got really hot with both blankets on.
