The hotel was still quite new, the room was quiet and bed was very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and many speak English well, so this makes a number of things much easier. The hotel is also a very short walk to a subway station close to the Kamo river.

The room was a bit smaller than anticipated although this is common for Japan. The location is slightly further away from the main tourist areas, so one does need to walk or take the subway, but it is flat.

Brand new hotel with spacious room and elegant decor. Gym and public bath are good. Breakfast is great.

The location is reasonably convenient but not really at the city center.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was perfect as it was a walking distance to a lot of the main areas around Kyoto. The staff were really accommodating and friendly and we loved the warm cookie we received from the reception desk as soon as we checked in. It was a really nice gesture! Will definitely come back here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. There’s nothing that comes to mind that we didn’t like about the property.

Very nice and still fairly new hotel close to attractions in Higashiyama. I liked the room and amenities as well as the sento bath on site. Breakfast offered a very good choice and even had the original Swiss bircher muesli! The staff was super friendly and international. A subway station is right around the corner, and walking to Kiyomizu temple takes about 20 mins.

The hotel is located on a very large and busy road, but I knew that when making the booking.

It would be nice to have a free internet connection at a hotel like this.

The staff. Daniele, madhu and many others have made this stay one of the best in Japan. Their attentiveness and professionalism has made us extend our stay in Kyoto and do day trips to other areas rather than move hotels. How wonderful it is to see such a multicultural team who are so attentive to each guest we came in contact with shows us the Hilton qualities we have seen in many locations around the world.. we will return

I love the hotel!!! The design is very lovely and warm, we feel welcomed every time we enter the hotel after a long and cold day strolling around Kyoto during winter. The onsen in the hotel is basic but still great for us beginners, the cookies were amazing haha.

I think I’m quite dehydrated there because drinks can only be refilled in the ground and 1st floor, maybe add more water refilling stations per floor!

Very polite & helpful staff. Accommodating & caring.

The location isn’t great & it’s 30mins walk at least from the centre or 5-10mins Metro. There are just two very small restaurants in front of the hotel. There isn’t much there. We had to take taxi every time we wanted to go out. Also Kyoto station is 10mins by taxi. I wouldn’t stay there again only because of location.

Every was excellent. One note, the water bottles are not re-filled during House Keeping. I liked the idea that there are water re-filling stations available 24 hours, however, during House Keeping, it is recommended to refill the bottles if they were empty. Other than that, everything was excellent and it was a pleasant stay in a very nice hotel.
