This Hostel is located walking distance to Mt. Fuji train station and lots of little restaurants. The three of us stayed in the private 4 bed bunk bed room. Each bed had a little reading lamp, outlet to plug into and privacy curtains. The mattress was very comfortable and the blankets were nice and warm. Our room also had an air conditioner which was helpful for the humid rainy day we had. The public shared bathroom, shower and sinks were very clean and stocked with a blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and tooth brushes! Our host was a quiet person but he was very kind and was always around taking care of things. He also baked fresh bread every day which was amazingly delicious and made the whole building smell good. We met some great people while we were there having dinner in the common area. Everyone was so friendly and excited to share tips on where they had traveled to. Highly recommend this hostel and especially the bread!

It's a hostel, so you have to evaluate it in that way. It's the best hostel I've ever been to, everything was clean, they had all the amenities and more, the a/c is great, check-in/check-out is smooth, and they have one of the best bread I've eaten in my life, which you can eat for free with butter, peanut butter and 2 types of jam that are also free. They had bananas and sweets, coffee, matcha, tea, creamer and all the seasonings your can think of.

wifi was quite slow, so not ideal for remote workers the slippers you're supposed to use indoors had a bad smell, even though I got them from the disinfected pile

Lovely charming little hostel, with everything you need. It was very clean especially the shared bathrooms and toilets which was really nice. The small kitchen area is well equipped and there is coffee and tea, homemade delicious bread and bananas for free. Owner was really helpful and also allowed us to use the phone for free. Thank you

Unfortunately the shared facilities like bathroom / washing area is in the middle of the alley so you can hear everything inside the rooms when some is washing is hands, brushing teeth or drying hair. Only the shower and toilet are in separate rooms. Especially when someone uses the facilities really early in the morning or late in the evening.

Upon early arrival we were checked in immediately and quickly to our room. Found the place a little outdated but very eclectic and super clean compared to the hotels we stayed at. Our beds were comfortable and the washrooms were very clean and smelled nice and fresh. Toiletries were also available in the washing area. The day after we were met with freshly brewed coffee and homemade bread. The location was very convenient - close to the train station as well as a short walk to honcho street. Other guests were very quiet and courteous. Overall the stay far exceeded my expectation!

The hostel keeper did not interact with us as much, but otherwise no negative comments or feedbacks.

I had an epic direct view of Fuji-san outside my window on the 2nd floor (though this won't be for every room). Beds were very comfortable and shared bathrooms were kept very clean. Location is great, 5-10 min walk from the station.

Walls are a little thin, so you can hear your neighbours and people tended to be getting up from about 6am, but it's not a party hostel and everyone was very quiet and respectful.

The atmosphere is so great, everything made me felt like home even i was far way from hotel. The share area and bathroom are so clean. The view from my room was even stunning- Mt Fuji😁 Boss was so nice- allowed us for early checking in after coming back from hiking and no extra charge for luggage storage. Would recommend for people who plans for hiking but likes to stay in a more quiet place (two stations away from Kawaguchiko). Remember to spend little for the Mt Fuji view at the train station, it was breath-taking!

This hostel has a lot of personality, I loved the decor. It is conveniently located very close to Mt. Fuji Station. They provide lots of amenities, there are travel guides and leaflets about pretty much everything in the area, and we loved that there were free bananas and homemade bread 😋. Staff is really helpful and nice and does their best with English. They offer bike rental and they store luggage overnight for a small fee even if you have already checked out, which was just perfect for us as we visited Fujiyoshida to climb Mt. Fuji. You can also use their showers after check out for a very small fee, which again was just perfect for us when we came back from Mt. Fuji. The hostel is very clean and the only thing I missed was a washing machine, but there is a coin laundry (with instructions in English) about a 10-minute walk from there. If I ever come back to Fujiyoshida I will definitely stay here again (;

I recently stayed at Hostel Fujisan You near Fuji Mountain for two nights, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The hostel's location was superb, right in the city's center and near the train station. This made it incredibly convenient for me to explore the area and provided easy transportation access. I was delighted to find that the hostel was also close to the main restaurant and the amusement park where Naruto Village is situated, adding an extra layer of excitement to my stay. The facilities at the hostel were top-notch. I was impressed by the excellent heating services, which ensured that I stayed warm and comfortable throughout my stay. The shared kitchen had all the basic cooking materials I needed, making it easy to prepare my meals when I wanted to. The shared bathroom and shower room were impeccably clean, creating a hygienic environment. The air conditioner in my room worked like a charm, providing much-needed relief during the hotter days. I particularly loved the cozy atmosphere and charming decorations that gave the hostel a welcoming and homely feel. As a solo traveler, I found the hostel perfect for my needs. However, it's worth noting that it's also an ideal choice for couples and small families. The accommodation options cater to different types of travelers, making them versatile and accommodating. The staff at the hostel were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They were always available to assist me with any questions or concerns, which made me feel valued as a guest. Their helpfulness added to the overall positive experience. One delightful surprise during my stay was the complimentary offerings. Every night, the hostel provided complimentary bananas and freshly baked bread. It was a lovely gesture that made me feel pampered and appreciated. Overall, my experience at Hostel Fujisan You was fantastic.

immaculate/clean bathroom and comfortable beds/pillows. fantastic location with Mt Fuji station less than 5 min walk, good sushi restaurant next door, good ramen place on the corner and excellent yakitori near the station (Yama). short train ride or a few km walk to the lake (so busy with rude tourists I was glad we didn’t stay closer). the man running it doesn’t smile much but otherwise was helpful. he makes free bread and there is coffee/tea and cheap beer and water available. can also hire bikes. we stayed three nights and it was great except the last night when the place was busier and there were some very rude thoughtless guests who were making a lot of noise at 0230. overall a great convenient place to stay :)

The hostel was just beautiful! Extremely clean, bright and the room was spacious. The whole time it smelled like fresh cooked bread which was also delicious. The bikes were a bit tired but got us around the lake safely. Not a hostel to meet other travellers just a cosy home stay. Letting us leave our luggage all day was also a great perk!

The communal space in the reception area was a bit tight but overall not bad.
