We really loved the location, it was very close to the city center. The accommodation was beautiful and comfortable. The owner was very kind and friendly, and prepared us breakfast along with excellent coffee. Additionally, for New Year's Eve, he offered us champagne. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it!

Very authentic and mostly charming place.

It was a bit cold with the stone floor. So the guests need to remember elates socks in fall.

It is an old apartment which is well furnished. Our room was large, and everything worked. The area is quiet and an easy walk to the centre. Breakfast was good, and Agostino was charming and very helpful.

The whole property needs maintenance and a good tidy up as there is a lot of clutter which makes it seem smaller than it is.

My wife and I travel Europe frequently. Our host Augustino was the most accommodating and gracious host we've ever had the pleasure of knowing. He served delicious food and provided tasty recommendations on restaurants. He also helped with taxis and transfers. We watched as he helped us and other guests with command of numerous languages while being warm and attentive. The accommodations are steeped in history with charm and character not always accessible in the modern world. Lots of history and character. Augustino is a national treasure, as is his establishment.

I have just had the pleasure of staying for a week at the Antica Residenza D'Azeglio. Agostina is the perfect host. He is both interesting and interested in all of his guests. I really enjoyed our conversations at breakfast. He is very candid in advising on the places to see and not to bother with in the region. I appreciated his advice whilst arranging my visits. The room was most comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are nice touches like the bottle of wine and fruit bowl that is replenished daily. You are in the perfect location for all of the sights of Bologna. Every place that you need to see is within walking distance. However, although you are right by the centre, the accommodation is on a very quiet street. The station is a twenty minute walk away and the gateway to the rest of this fascinating region. I visited Parma, Modena, Ravenna and Ferrara during this trip. This is why I highly recommend a week in this beautiful region. I can think of no better place to stay in the city than the Antica Residenza D'Azeglio with Agostino as your host. Thank you so much for an amazing stay!

Agostino was a great host and was a wealth of information with things to see and do and helped us enormously. The breakfast was excellent and the location is great, only about a 5 minute walk to the central piazza. The rooms are full of charm and well appointed. Would definitely recommend this B and B. The other guests during our stay were all repeat and loyal customers and also spoke highly of Agostino and this accommodation. Hopefully we will return to Bologna in the future.

Agostino was lovely and welcoming (listen to his advice on restaurants you WONT regret it - had best pasta dish of my life!) A/c worked which was merciful as 33+ degs Bed and sofa bed comfy Good powerful shower Fridge was more powerful than mini fridges tend to be so kept water lovely and cold Plenty of towels Area safe and a 10min walk to PiazzaMaggiore (is 25mins ish to train/bus stations but all flat) Supermarket 1min walk away. Would 100% book again if/when come back

Lift only worked during day (advice was not to use at might just in vase breaks down lol) - didn't bother us but may be inconvenient for someone with mobility challenges

We had a wonderful stay here in Bologna! Agostino is a wonderful host, so kind and accommodating. It was no bother at all for us to leave our suitcases with him when our flight home was in the evening. I've never had such a generous host before and cannot recommend staying here highly enough. Very characterful establishment - decor was most attractive and interesting but also very comfortable and homely. Agostino was a very attentive, helpful and pleasant host. He created a warm and hospitable atmosphere. My room and facilities were kept immaculately clean. I liked being able to make tea and coffee in my room and having a fridge to keep milk and drinks cool. Agostino very generously provided complimentary water, milk and a bottle of wine. Even more, he realized it was my birthday and produced cake with a candle, which was lovely!

I saw very little of the other guests but probably because I was usually out early and returned late in the evening.. Nothing to dislike or complain of about the establishment.

We spent 7 days at Antica Residenza and it was excellent! The host - Agostino - was very welcoming and thoughtful. Being welcomed by him everyday with delicious breakfast (sandwiches with prosciutto, cheese, cornettos, coffee, juice) was definitely a highlight and a perfect start of the day. We needed to check in earlier and check out very late - absolutely no problem with that. The room was cleaned very precisely every two days. We were so lucky to get the 'Camera Azzurra' with a view on the beautiful garden. The AC was working very well. We recommend this place to everyone, especially for a romantic trip. We can't imagine choosing better :)
