Loved the river and marina view, (but not the children from next door who played right outside our windows making it necessary to close all the curtains to have some privacy). Would not do a patio room again, especially after reading that review about dogs being welcome in these rooms. Fortunately, I pre-dosed with allergy medicine for two weeks. The little bar at the front of the Lodge was fantastic - just the right size for a pre-dinner libation, with a cute patio for outdoor seating. LOVED the sparkling rose on offer this spring. Super friendly staff and all the patrons looked happy and well-serviced. We skipped dinner here to meet some friends next door at Anthony's, which had decent food, but I really wanted to eat at Drumhellers (and will next time we come). Breakfast was amazing though! -- again, fabulous service. Such lovely, kind, and friendly staff. I hate to say anything negative.
But... we didn't love the shared patio outside our room. Zero privacy unless you close the view. HATED the featherweight squishy pillows with no body or structure. We each had two pillows and neither of us slept well with a mere half-an-inch of lift off the bed and gobs of excess pillow fluff splaying out in mounds that obscured your breathing if you rolled over... (We will bring our own next time -- because everyone wants to bring linens on a trip, right)? :/ Overall, still a cute place to lay over for a night or two.

This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel. It is hands down one of the best hotels that I have stayed at for this price point. Pool and hot tub are nice. Staff is friendly and helpful, the location is beautiful and I would encourage anyone to stay here. Room was huge and comfortable. My friend lives here and loves coming to the Lodge and I will only stay here when in the area!!
I am a french toast freak but the french toast here is odd, I didn't finish it. That in itself is unheard of. Prices are high for food in the restaurant and in the bar for drinks and snacks. Priced for the location. The tub in the room was very difficult to get in and out of, that should be disclosed in the room description that only says "tub or shower".

Complementary chocolate chip cookies. Elevator access. Cozy gas fireplace. Beautiful view with patio. Big bathtub. Walk-in shower. Comfortable king bed. Nice couch and two person table. Love the available wine and snacks in the room. And dinnerware to use. Quality robe and slippers (great for taking down to the pool). Bath salts and hand lotion. Hot tub down at the pool/spa!
The heated saltwater pool was NOT warm this time around. AC/heating unit in the room made a lot of noise, sounded like the fan was going out and it often gurgled throughout the night.

the water views, the accessibility of the river, the docks, and the beaches, enjoyed the walkway along the water that led into the city. also enjoyed the food in the restaurant and helpful room services and hotel staff.
it was a lot closer to other streets and businesses than I expected, was thinking it was more secluded before I got there. also felt that the honor basket system was pretty confusing because it made it seem like I had to pay to use some things like wine glasses or bathrobes. i had to call the front desk multiple times to confirm that I could use certain items without charge. was also a bit disappointed there weren't any brochures or a booklet of local restaurants or activities that I could refer to as some lodgings provide.

The big comfortable tub. The gas fireplace. The honor basket and wine. The heated saltwater pool. The energy saving lights by using the room card. The view!
My only complaint - we had a fire alarm go off right when we tried to go down to the pool. After we got back in the building and got down to the pool, an employee asked us to leave because a sprinkler had gone off and they had to test the water. We asked him to call our room when the pool was open. Nobody called. Tried ringing the front desk and nobody answered. Finally had to go down and just ask. The pool had been open for a while..

Room and bathroom was dirty and not dusted. Bathroom floor was dirty. Everytjing was "surface" clean...everything needs to be deep cleaned. We, also, had considerable noise...possibly coming from the HVAC on the roof. We mentioned this to the front desk. This was a special get away for my wife and I. I had requested a red rose and bottle of wine to be in the room when we arrived. This was not done and I had to call down to remind them...it made it look like an after thought. We have always had excellent service any other time we stay at The Lodge, so

Beautiful room, location, pool, and weight room. Great food!
I didn’t like that no one told me there would be a $500. hold on my card. It was a debit card, so I was limited on how to finish out my trip. It worked out with another credit card. When I went to the front desk they explained there’s an automatic hold put on the card for damage, which I don’t damage rooms. I live here locally. I also asked to see the copy of the notice for the $500 hold and they said they don’t have it in writing. We’ve stayed here probably 5 times. I don’t recall the hold, but this time I used my debit card. So lesson learned for us. After talking and sharing the front desk said they need to put it in writing. It’s interesting that it wasn’t in writing and I my card was charged as a hold for $500. without any notice when I checked in.

It's an excellent location. There's a good view of the river and great local restaurants, including the Lodge's, all within walking distance. The bed was very comfortable. The walk-in shower was great. Comfortable robes and towels were provided. A big plus to us was that the room had glass cocktail and wine glasses.
While the quality of most everything at the Lodge was excellent, inexplicably they really cut the quality on the room's toilet paper. We also seemed to have an electrical gremlin in our room. I had an issue with the television not turning on or off reliably (up to five minutes of attempting at times). The staff provided me with new remote-control batteries, but that did not fix the issue. Also, the telephone message light started blinking each evening even though there was no message.

The staff were extremely professional and inviting. The property was clean for the most part, very well maintained.
The only thing that stood out to me was the dust accumulation along the edges of the room. This can be taken care of by a couple housekeepers that can focus on wiping the carpet along the edges of the carpet in the rooms. Maybe once every 2 weeks to keep it maintained.

Stocked with wine as I requested and very spacious for a romantic night with the wife.
I was under the impression it was a jetted bathtub from online reservation and even at check in, until I got to the room only to find out it was just an oval tub no jets. However, the room was stocked with wine just as I requested for my wife and I to enjoy a night alone.
